Interesting thing I just noticed. The "Royal Air Force" sign (@6:33) gives us a clue to the date of that photo, because the "Royal Air Force" didn't come into being until April 1918 - prior to that it was the "Royal Flying Corps." So this photo is most likely taken sometime after that point.

Very cool, also amazing work on the photos. I saw some of the original photos and your scanning / software / restoration work is supurb. The pictures of the army camp (Long Branch), my jaw dropped -- the original was *so* faded! Wonderful stuff.

I remember that day like it was yesterday

I remember this storm like yesterday because my father had left to go make sure our new house was all tacked down safe!, so afraid he’d never make it back. Thank God he did! I was 11yrs old. I’ll never forget it, but listening to your video, I relived it all over again. It Thank you for uploading this video!

This place was a huge part of my childhood. My parents used to take me and my friends there almost every time we went to Presqu’ile. I took a few pictures of the place when it finally closed down. I’m incredibly heartbroken to see the end of this place. If someone else had taken ownership, maybe a new station could have been constructed next to the museum.

Obediah was my 5th great grand father!!

Was so good to hear about the history of the Lions Club -- am very glad you were able to interview Mr. Gibb about it! I knew the club did a LOT of good, and has done so for many years, but I hadn't realized the extent of it!

Man I love this place as a kid I grew up on Napier Street which was up the road from this place. My older sister and I would always be their playing in the sand box or checking out the old train good memories there

Enjoyed this very much. Found out that we are both descendants of Robert Hubbs and Jane Haviland (my 5x g-grandparents).
