I'm totally confused as to why you would bother to produce a video with no voice over. This means absolutely nothing to viewers unless you know what this plant is, and remember this video is being watched all around the world. A totally wasted opportunity to educate people on what this weed is.

Here in the UK, we can't sell our houses if they have Japaneese Knotweed in the garden. It has to be professionally disposed of.

I have a bunch of Japanese knotweed around my house how effective is this method? Does it kill the roots permanently?

once its electrocuted, can it be cut and taken away or wait for it to die out and what if regrows after 5 years what happens? does it kill the Rhizomes

How deep does this kill? About 30cm at best, so it’s not going to kill the whole root in the vast majority of places because they are almost always much deeper, I’ve seen it to 3.6m deep! Also, you say the costs are low, maybe compared to digging out but this isn’t comparable to digging out in terms of effectiveness; this is much more expensive than herbicide. If you want to avoid non-target species, you use a stem injection kit! I really don’t see what this brings to the party

A lady I know had it in her small back garden and it got up to the property wall and ended up coming out of the walls and air vents and was soon coming out of the drains and gutters. She has not been able to sell the property for 4 years and has spent tens of thousands of pounds on chemical treatments and reports and surveys and all. Absolute nightmare.

If it isn’t the viruses, it’s the triffids….

I live next to a railway and there is Knotweed everywhere. We’ve reported it and the railway say they are treating it, but it just seems to grow back more and more.
