TAA with frame generation is the preferred method as you use DLSS on older systems.

And this is with framegeneration AND DLSS, so its barely 30 real FPS….

It’s actually not that demanding on non-ultra settings in my experience. I’m running it on a Lenovo Legion 5i laptop with RTX 3070 and 32GB RAM, and with the DLSS mod enabled I get around 50 FPS in 4K at high settings. Which is totally fine for a flight sim

I still have some 4K benchmarks planned, but once I’m done with those, I’ll also run 1440p tests.

Yes, the upcoming tests will reveal what the average performance will be. However, I can already tell that VRAM might become an issue. Until the RTX 5090 is released, I’ll optimize the settings for the RTX 4080 Super.

@@UGInsanePlay I mean who is going to afford a 5090? rumor is its going to be between 1900-2200$ USD. Not many people are going to afford that to get the 24gb of VRAM

Yes, in this benchmark, DLSS Quality is enabled, as you can see in the video. Benchmarks with TAA will follow soon.

TAA always provide better visuals.

In this benchmark, the VRAM was almost fully utilized, reaching around 14GB. Once you exceed the available VRAM limit, GPU frame times shoot up to 300ms, making the game barely playable. However, I’ll continue running regular benchmarks for MSFS 2024 and will test again with optimized settings. Tests with FlyByWire aircrafts and other aircraft will also follow at some point.

@ yes I know but you have to remember that I believe he’s using default airplanes and scenery, now imagine 3rd party aircraft and sceneries, it will push it past 32GB and you have to remember it allocated roughly 27-29GB of RAM which part of that is windows ram allocation, it only takes a couple of third party add-ons to push it over 32GB

A 96GB RAM kit is really needed. You can get away with 64GB. 32GB is choking the hell out of it.

Can you include internet usage?

@@Design_no I can also run benchmarks using Asobo's internal FPS debug tool, which also shows how much internet bandwidth is being used. However, there are still a few things to test, and I'll include that in the list afterward.

The Level of Terrain is set to 200. You can see all the settings at the end of the video. I hope this helps!

You might have. It might have been better to go with the 14900k as this game favors cores, threads, and frequency. The 3d vcache really has little to do. Not saying it will not be playable but this title might favor the raw power from intel with cores and threads. And once you core park your cutting down on cores and threads because it is depending on cache but if the title does not make use of it then it doesnt matter.

@@ssxtreme2000 I have been thinking that however, in the sims current state and Asobo / Microsoft stance on a few things it looks like I'm going to be sticking with 2020 for some time.

​@@flystratej total waste of money 13700k should be sufficient for years to come , and should even been able to handle even a 5090 at 4k. I own a 13900k 4090 , i ll replace the 4090. Cpu should only be upgraded if cant fully utilize the gpu.

@@pcgamerzzzchannel3407 You may be right but in MSFS I've been struggling at 4k and do plan on grabbing a 5090 when they release. The 3d Cache has been helping quite a bit in my testing so I wouldn't say a total waste.

There's no point in flying at over 5000 or higher for a benchmark. To utilize as many resources as possible, I have to fly low.

@@UGInsanePlay it was more of a joke than anything, I completely understand as far as benchmarking and trying to capture the details. Nonetheless MFS24 looks amazing. Thank you for showing the results!
