Chadwick Missouri trail 119 to 101 to 115 to 101 .... 2014
มุมมอง 2989 ปีที่แล้ว
My step son Mason and I are at Chadwick Missouri in early spring going down trail 119. Then we got on to 101 and headed to trail 115. We stopped and looked at the sign that said easy one way and difficult the other way. We decided to take the easy route because everything had water and ice on it and it was slick. We took 115 to Oak Camp and all the way down 115 to 101 again on the rough steep s...

    Why was the flywheel removed in the first place ?

    • @stevebarnes8008
      @stevebarnes8008 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reason that I removed the flywheel was that I thought it had sheared the key and the timing was off but it wasn't. It had spark, so i figured the ignition was good. Even though it had spark, it still would not start. I replaced the ignition coil and it starts and runs great.

    Did the motor not run because of the flywheel spinning a little? Did it run good after you did this maneuver? Should a person put some lock tight on it when putting on flywheel? Mine was running great, idling an all. When I got into some heavy weeds and took them down to the dirt around a 1 foot dia. culvert, it will not start now. Plenty of spark and gas. Will not even try to fire.

    • @stevebarnes8008
      @stevebarnes8008 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      After me ding all this work with the flywheel. Turns out that it was the ignition coil. It still sparked, so I thought it was good. That why I started taking off the flywheel.

    • @stevebarnes8008
      @stevebarnes8008 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That the plug out and squirt some gas in there. Then put the plug back in and try to start it. If it doesn't fire then it may be the coil. I had spark but it would not start.

    • @x2malandy
      @x2malandy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevebarnes8008 Ok, will try gas in spark plug hole today. Came back to watch your video again right before tearing it apart. Thanks for the information. The aluminum block you used under hammer looked like a type of valve I used to inspect with a CMM machine.

    • @jimsmith8071
      @jimsmith8071 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the flywheel key sheared (even slightly) the ignition timing will be off. This will cause your engine not to run.

    Great video for equipment repairs. I have trained with Sugerical Tubing for Martial Arts since the mid 1980's. Its rare thing to see this style of equipment being repaired, for it can be costly to be replaced The equipment I used back in the 1980s and 90s cost somewhere around $300.00 . If you let this kind of equipment setting off to the side, then the next time you go to compete in competition ~ it could be your Ass!

    The video was great. I fixed the same band you showed in the video, a Gold's Gym long band, heavy. I used a 90 degree long handle pliers from Harbor Freight, $3.19 after 20 percent discount. The 90 degree angle allows better access to push the ball into the tube. Didn't have the strength you have so I used something wider than a chair arm to keep the pliers open wide enough to get the ball inside the tube. A bit of a struggle to get the ball in there but saved the cost of a new band. Also I'm going to make it a practice to loosen the rings that push against the ball after every workout. That may extend the time before breakage.

    My fs55 shaft was sticking and removed it to find that the plastic around it had melted. The clutch drum had quite a lot of play. Could this be the culprit as to why the plastic melted? Thanks! P.s - really good video!

    What type of screw driver did you use to remove the clutch drum

    • @railroaded1991

      T25 torx/star wrench. There's a screw in the drum where the output shaft goes.
