Hi! New protoss here who found this video super helpful! I know this is an old video, but if any veterans are still down here who can answer a question: what is the logic behind hotkeying the first pylon? Especially if you're hotkeying the gate right next to it?
It's not necessary, but it just makes it easier to flip to it when I want to build something. It was hotkeyed before the gateway existed.
@jyntv ah gotcha! Thanks for the reply! That makes sense.
Damn one day? i thought that with protoss it only took 1 hour lol

haha can tell you're a coder
a couple videos of the playlist are hidden
ASL? you mean SSL :D
Is the plural not artoses?
It surprises me that more games don't do this - Twitch streamers have tons of viewers that would surely contribute
Chess has this to some degree, but yeah you don't really see it
explain where the booba chix in the front row of the asl studio come from
they're paid to be there, but by who?
Get uot of here, fake Goose
bonk
the girls play starcraft via university league. streamers are popular in korea outside of starcraft / gaming.
Way Brood war stays in curve/not stale is to constantly expand content scene to keep up instead of staying in 1v1 tryhard streams of a decade ago, expanding to noob teaching/teams/low level tournament+pro coaching/even vtubers. most streamers are in these clan "uni" teams and has entire scene revolving around it. There's separate league for each of those "scenes", so it's not only pros that take the entire pie and allow smaller fish to make a living, allowing entire scene to be healthy. This is huge to keeping the content diverse.
ya but foreigners dont see it on twitch, reddit or liquipedia so it doesnt exist xd
According to foreigners, only Serral exists and Koreans were never good
tried this over and over but Protoss just takes third fills with cannons and sends overwhelming army to kill all my hydras at same time, and thats in F league . Been playing BW for a year I was Diamond in SC2 still cant beat a Protoss in F league
Players at lower ranks play pretty wild, so you're going to see a lot of wacky things / variance. I would just advise to pay very close attention to the supply (drone + hydra count) at a very specific time (e.g. 7:30-8:30, etc.) and make sure you're at least getting close to those timings. P should not be able to rush 3rd before ~10 mins unless they're really far ahead.
higher apm than me with both hands
Gonna binge watch all of your vids starting now so I can get a better understanding of the fundamentals of SCR. Thank you for these vids 🎉
So you're gonna want to YUP, get the UHHUH, gas K, at exactly YEA, 75 minerals ALRIGHT, and then you UHHUH, start the lair at YEA
Love the vids
oh, find this masterpiece
Want to ZvP lecture pleaze
nice, thx
And if the Protoss didn’t do early harassment and went to break third base at timing 7-30, what should they do?
Not sure if I understand the question, but as the Z.. - If they aren't sending early zeals, that means they have more zeals later, therefore, you should load up on units at the 7:30 timing - If they sent early zeals and traded poorly, you can make more drones Everything depends on how many zealots they lost in combat. Good P moves out for a push but doesn't engage if they can't win, so they save their zealots for the next push and keeps Z honest.
how many drones should there be on minerals, 12 each?
12*3 + 3*3 = 45
A good heuristic to follow is the multiplier on the number of mineral patches per base. Usually, main bases have 9 mineral patches and expansions have 7. - Fully saturating (1 per min patch) on 3 bases = 9 + 7 + 7 = 23 drones + 6 drones on gas = 29, which is the ~30 drone timing for 5hh - For the next phase, roughly 1.5x per patch is a good general rule = 13 + 10 + 10 = 33 drones + 12 on gas = 45 - Then, getting to 55 is just saturating a 4th base with 10 more drones So, the main base should have a little more saturation, but that's a minor detail.
1:10 - 🗿me after watching all 10 hours of that Hawk's stream
0:23 - I want to know how playing ZvP without crashing my keyboard after psi-storms on my mass-hydra))
Great advice. The hive misses you.
좋은 강의 잘 봤습니다!
Lol that 2nd game vs the Terran, bro being F rank Terran sucks ass, literally they just A-move zealots at you from across the map and you die
i'm only here because jayun said he'd ban me if I didn't like and subscribe.
g00ned
These guides are fire. I can already feel a big improvement in my games from the boost in conceptual understanding this gave me 👊
glad you appreciate them!
Wait is he playing with one hand?
yes, it's a handicap game vs. a lower ranked player. mainly also to demonstrate how powerful 45 drones can be with just muta hydra.
Playing with one hand, while jacking off with the other.
"If you're losing ZvP, then..." "just git gud," is what Jaeyun was about to say.
you're not allowed to lose as zerg :)
Wait, these are not Plants vs Zombies concepts?!?!
hahahahha
this mans pumping c0ntent
Thanks a lot
yes please !
I've been looking for a while for this style of beginner-catered video and really glad this ended up in my recommended
