Mississippi MacDonald is an British Soul-Blues singer/songwriter/guitarist. In 2024, he won 2 UK
Blues Federation Awards - Traditional Blues Artist Of The Year and Acoustic Blues Act Of The Year.
This past year has seen a rising profile through tracks played on Cerys Matthews Radio 2 Blues show, being championed in Mojo magazine, collaborating with soul blues legends Vaneese Thomas, Benny Turner and the Reverend Shawn Amos, filming with Jools Holland, US guitarist Eric Gales and Hi Rhythm from Memphis for the Take Me To The River - London film, recording with grammy award winning producer Boo Mitchell and the legendary Hi Rhythm at Royal Studios in Memphis, as well as headlining at key festivals Red Rooster and Glastonbury.

Mississippi MacDonald visits the final resting place of Sonny Boy Williamson, the legendary blues harmonica player and singer. He’s joined by the award winning Giles Robson, who talks about how Sonny Boy influenced him and what made him and his music so special.
