Well this video tells us very little. I think there's a huge opportunity for continuing parody of the Star Wars movies. I think a great thing, in the right hands, would be to make a movie parodying the prequels. Then another parodying the Disney era movies. There's NO END of raw material here. The problem is that the phrase "in the right hands" is doing ALOT of heavy lifting in that paragraph. I don't know that Josh Gad has those hands. I took a brief look at his imdb page and his writing credits don't exactly impress. I think I'd be inclined to approach the South Park guys about writing a treatment. But I wouldn't schedule any filming or non-writing work until the script was done and amazing.

Oh this will be great. A Mel Brooks sequel NOT directed by Mel Brooks, Mel who is on death's door and who will likely barely make it to the set, Mel who had to ask what has been going on in Star Wars since the original three. A parody in an age where Hollywood has barely any concept of what is funny, let alone good parody. And lastly... directed by Josh Gad. This is TRULY the quest for more money.

I sincerely hope they do a better job of it than the people in History of the World Part 2 did... I couldn't even finish watching that one. It felt more like people's desperate attempt to be linked to Mel Brooks than it was funny...
