Hot Rails Vs. Fast Track 2 - High Gain

Comparing bridge two single coil rail form factor pickups in a high gain tone. First is a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails SHR-1 and second is a Dimarzio Fast Track 2. To my ears, both sound pretty close to each other. The Dimarzio sounds better to me in the room. Would love your feedback.
Greenback Vs Creamback - Rock

A quick video comparing the Celestion Greenback and the Creamback guitar speakers in a rock style (maybe punk rock) tone. To me, the greenback sounds dark (in a good way) and the creamback sounds bright. These speakers make a great combination in a 2x12 cab. I'm using a Fractal Ax8 through an Orange Pedal Baby 100 into the cab.
Modeler Vs Real Tube Screamer- POD HD500X

Breathing new life into the Line 6 POD HD500X floorboard as a live rig by comparing the unit's tube screamer vs an analog tube screamer (Demon Tube Screamer). The unit is running through a Seymour Duncan PowerStage 700 & a 4x12 Avatar cabinet loaded with Celestion Vintage 30s. The cab is mic'd w/a Shure SM57. Which screamer do you prefer? Does a guitar amp modeler sound better through a power amp or an effects loop of a tube amp. I compare two short clips of a Fractal Audio AX8 played through a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700 & Mesa Rectoverb 50 using the same Avatar Speakers Contemporary 412 cab loaded with vintage 30s. The AX8 cab block is modeled after the 5150 Big Block with a tube screamer in front of it.

Demo of the Z00M G5N RectoDist patch from Choptones without the cab sim into the Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700 using the XLR output with its cab sim turned on and into the Reaper DAW. I'm pretty impressed with the cab sim from the Powerstage power amp. Guitar used is a ESP EC1000s with the Fishman Fluence modern pickups.

@@usedguitargearmodsmusic5628 yo uso revalver y amplitube 5, lo conecto directamente ya que instalé un mini preamplificador de audifonos de 18 voltios a miguitarra, no tengo interfaz lo uso con el asio4all y a 512 me da 11,2 milisegundos y aun asi no se sienten por seguridad generalmentelo dejo a 256 que me da 5,8ms de latencia

hi! very interesting video! What type of locking tuners you bought? I'm interested since the headstock is reversed, but Guyker for example make the vintage style locking only for the bass side. I dismantled a te90 flt since the "blue" blast, with time became more like a dirt aqua-green that's really terrible. I'll try to re-paint all the body and headstock with oil and make it "natural satin".

Nice comparison, don't really hear a lot of difference. Do you notice a lot "in the room" and assume you are using identical settings? Surprised there are not more comparison vids with the HD500x out there, thanks for sharing this one.
Yes. I do hear a difference in the room. Not a huge one but enough to influence my picking and palm muting
Is there any neck dive being chambered and all? I intent to buy one and make it a metal machine taking advantage of the reversed headstock and gibson spacing (got some SD black winters lying around that need a good home) my only concern is neck dive, I hate it
My only constructive criticism would be to make all the different recordings the same level to get an equal assessment.
I am thinking of getting a Helix with one of theese. I play bass currently in a band. Have a 410 but hate lugging it around, also they never mic it up so whats the point. Is it loud enough for practice? Does it have a nice low end? Can you feel that oomph? I tried back in the day a 500X with an alto ts112, while on it's own it sounded great, could never really cut through the mix with real amps.
i really would have liked to have heard the stock pickups with drop A given how great the Gretsch Baritone sounds for low tunings/heavy stuff.

Sounds So Bad ..... 👎 And plus Line 6 sounds good at low lvl volume but when you crank them the effects sound muddy and lost in the mix.. Its a beginners Banger not worth a shit live or in a studio environment... 30 yrs xp trust me fuck that thing it's garbage kids

Power stage sounds better , but Have u turned off the cab ir into the fractal with fx loop experiment ? 😀
I have but only when using a physical external cab or a third party cab ir on my computer. It sounds thin without any cab coloration

The input of the amp means preamp not power amp right ? Im going to buy the katana 50 but dont have fx loop , but i dont know if it will sounds good into the power amp from behind 😀
In your case, you would input as normal through the guitar input of the Katana. In my case, I was purposely using the power amp of the Mesa because I had a separate preamp/amp modeler
@@usedguitargearmodsmusic5628 for amp modelers will not sound right into preamp from front , u need fx loop , but the thing that the 50watt version has only power amp from behind so maybe i should try if it sounds good

Ya jacked it up Bro. At the very least, get a red sharpie to stain that pickup cavity. Knock those tuning ferrels out, from the back, with a phillips-head screwdriver

Awesome. Please note that the pickup cavity is smaller than a Humbucker so you will need to route the hole a little to fit a humbucker.
What are the pickups like? Are they hot?
The pickups are good for classic rock and country. It sounds like playing a single coil strat. They are not hot so I will swap them with something really hot like INVADERS

Mathi Langa Yes if you are indoors in a small venue. It has plenty of headroom for a practice space. I once played using one of these for both guitar and bass at the same time in a small venue and worked great. I recommend that you use it with a preamp that can boost the input signal. I’d also recommend having two of these if you’re playing outdoors without a pa to mic your signal
Two is enough for two guitars abd a bass abdca kick drum for quieter genres. For metal or rock each instrument needs one kinda like a traditional amp.

no it can't, there are no speakers built into the head. you would need to connect this head into a speaker cab.
The line 6 spider V head is the only head in the world that can do that
