This is my unedited one-shot drum cover of the original System of a Down album Mezmerize. This recording was done with the Yamaha EAD10 -system and Rec'n'Share app. I didn't have a click track, I just followed the band :) I aim to keep the cover faithful to the original drum track by John Dolmayan. Playing drums to System's albums all the way through is my favorite way to play their music, and your vids help me improve lots of spots where I haven't been able to figure out John's parts. Thank you! I'd love to see a Steal This Album cover too! Also, your drum & cymbal tone is great! I'm impressed by the Impressions.
Thank you! Really cool to hear that I could help. Steal This Album is pretty tempting, maybe I'll tackle that one later this year :) I think the Impressions are at their best as effect cymbals, like this very pingy ride and thrashy crashie.
