So when I was in film school, this is one of the films we talked about, and the entire class for that block, all we talked about is everything you said. Basically how frankly it wasn't that bad and that the women were actually the villains. But why did this work to make people not realize this and to be blinded by it, because they set up the 60s aspect, and the lightheartedness of it, and the faces of these famous people, and that's why you don't realize. And that's why people with charisma can get away with anything.
Loved this reaction. You guys are so funny. Please make more videos. Can you react to mean girls. It’s a good movie and a classic 🙏
Thank you! We've definitely both seen Mean Girls, but yeah, maybe we should do it. Taking a brief hiatus for the end of the year, hoping to get back to it in January. Thanks again for watching!
You aren't being kind so much
Huh?
Oh my Lord! I’ve been watching reactions for about four years now and you too… I don’t even know what to call it. You talked over the whole freaking movie.THE WHOLE MOVIE!! I absolutely didn’t need to stick around for your comments afterwards because you said how much you hated it every scene. Wow.
Thanks for watching!! 😅
Are you all even paying attention to the damn movie?Cause ya'll are just yapping through whole damn thing??? What is the point of reacting if you're not watching the damn movie?? No wonder y'all only have sixty seven subscribers
More subscribers than you.
Y’all talked way too much
We've received this very helpful feedback before and are working on it. Thanks for reaching out with this non-redundant comment.
The conflict was the person she was in her 30’s is nothing she ever wanted to be… she was in the position she dreamed of but at what cost???
Yeah it's a real 'be careful what you wish for' scenario.
This channel is awesome, love the premise and reactions. Can you guys react to Little Black Book (2004)? It’s a Britney Murphy romcom that has a stacked cast (Holly Hunter, Kathy Bates) and I think y’all will like it. At least maybe some of the cinematography, visual gags and writing. Happy watching:)
Thank you!! We'll add it to the list. Stay tuned!
@ will do! hope you’re doing ok today:)
Haha, I say this without meaning to be mean, but I don't think this can be called a reaction, you missed important moments by not stopping talking; and the biggest crime for me was the final part; you weren't even watching the scene. 😢
So the whole thing is... we didn't miss any moments. Doesn't everybody do two things when watching movies? Aren't you on your phone the whole time? At least we're talking about the movie and not looking at cat videos.
Wow, you don't see the movie. Annoying, sorry.
Disagree. We saw every frame of it, sorry.
Watching you all watching a black movie was NOT fun. Your reactions to characters was so stereotypical like the absolutely fine and seggsy brother making you all feel like he looked dangerous. ...rac**t much?
Sorry you're super horny for that one dude and have no chance.
I get that you guys don't like the film but the film is based on the 1999 novel of the same name by author Nicholas Sparks who based the character of Jamie on his sister Danielle Sparks Lewis who died of cancer in June 2000 their characteristics not being popular caring a bible and her husband proposed to her despite her illness were the same. I think you guys just didn't understand the film at all it is not a bad film at all just not for you
Pretty straightforward movie. Don't think there was anything to "not understand," but I agree this was not for us. That's what we concluded during the wrap up. It also seems that the movie was not for the critics based on the reviews.
new subscriber!!! you guys are amazing! i am luvvving <3 i recommend yall to watch one of my fave chick flicks "10 things i hate about you" if you haven't already (-:
Thank you! We're having some copyright issues but new videos are upcoming. Thanks for the sub and your patience!
I like that you brought up reviews at the end
Thank you! 🍿🍻
:( the new video, a walk to remember is blocked for me "Video unavailable This video contains content from Studiocanal, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds" fml Edit: Ok... "solved it".
Yeah for whatever reason that one set off all the copyright alarms. I tried my best but the robots won.🤖😢
How did you guys even hear the movie you were talking through every single important scene! 😂😂
Ear buds.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 THE DISCLAIMER
"Chick" is like such a 90s term, right?
Mona Lisa Smile is a damn good Julia Roberts film.
We’ll add it to the list!
@@FirstTime-li6icYESSS!!
It's called Essence Fest lol. Its a full weekend of activities. Like an included package that you pay for so yes they attended every event lol.
Gotta get your money’s worth. 🎉
Never seen a reaction channel take reacting that literally. Non stop.
We're learning. 🤓
I completely agree… non stop 😂😂😂
ok, so you all watch the movie just to pick it apart and dissect every piece as if its real life and not a movie? got it
You're mean!
I wish they still made movies like this no matter how corny they are
DITTO.
You mentioned the other two husbands were not that bad so I found a list of what they did. You missed some of it while talking. Here’s a deeper look at what each husband did wrong, beyond leaving his wife: 1. Aaron (Brenda's Husband) Infidelity: Aaron cheats on Brenda with a younger woman, Shelly, which shatters Brenda’s trust and emotional well-being. Financial Mistreatment: Despite Brenda’s significant role in helping Aaron build his successful electronics store, he is dismissive of her contributions, treating her as though she was of no importance to his success. Gaslighting and Blaming: Aaron continuously belittles Brenda, making her feel insecure about her weight and appearance. Instead of supporting her emotionally, he contributes to her insecurities and essentially blames her for why the relationship didn’t work. Greed and Stinginess: Aaron fights Brenda during the divorce settlement, trying to minimize the financial support he gives her, despite the fact that he’s living a lavish lifestyle with his new, younger girlfriend. 2. Bill (Elise's Husband) Emotional Neglect: Bill married Elise when she was a young, beautiful movie star and expected her to always be a glamorous trophy wife. As she aged, he emotionally abandoned her and was unsupportive when her career began to falter. Superficiality and Objectification: Bill leaves Elise for a younger actress, which shows that he values women primarily for their physical appearance and status. His superficial treatment of Elise, ignoring her emotional needs, led to her deep insecurities about aging and her career. Deception and Manipulation: Bill manipulates Elise financially. While Elise battles her insecurities and undergoes cosmetic surgeries to maintain her image, Bill is seeing a younger woman behind her back, making Elise’s efforts to win his affection futile. Financial Abuse: Bill tries to keep Elise from getting a fair share of their joint assets, despite her sacrifices during their marriage. He devalues her contributions and dismisses her emotional investment in their relationship. 3. Morton (Annie's Husband) Emotional Abuse: Morton undermines Annie’s self-esteem throughout their marriage, leading her to feel inadequate and dependent on him. He was critical of her for years, contributing to her feelings of insecurity. Infidelity: Morton leaves Annie for their therapist, which adds an extra layer of betrayal. As her therapist, the woman knew about Annie’s personal struggles and used that information to manipulate the situation in her favor. Manipulation: Morton emotionally manipulates Annie into taking the blame for their failed marriage, causing her to internalize feelings of inadequacy. He gaslights her by making her believe she was the problem in their marriage, instead of acknowledging his role. Exploitation of Annie’s Vulnerability: By dating their therapist, Morton exploits Annie’s trust. He also pressures Annie to quickly finalize their divorce on unfavorable terms to Annie, showing a lack of respect or consideration for her well-being.
Just speaking of the Bette Midler/Dan Hedaya relationship, I remember all of what you mentioned, but I still don’t feel the “punishment fits the crime.” I would argue that the filmmakers also don’t feel that he was all that bad since they have them stay together in the end. You wouldn’t want one of your main characters to end up with someone horrible.
You said it is unfair to make the daughter choose sides. I guess you missed the scene in the kitchen where the daughter hates her father and thinks he is a terrible person and wants her mother to stop being a doormat for him.
You mean the famous scene where the daughter comes out as a lesbian to little fanfare? We saw it. We LOVED that scene. And you're right. If you feel like a doormat to your ex, go ahead and weaponize your kid, I guess.
Wow. You guys suck at this. Missed so much with your useless banter. By the way. Sex is possible in other places besides a bed. Maybe you can do a video on that subject. Has to be better than this.
I find your reaction repulsive and flippant. Having gone through the death of two sisters with this, I don't know why you don't view this as a small scene of real life. Because it has happened and is happened as I speak.
@@wendellnelson1118 oh no! Sorry to hear that. I thought The Notebook was fiction.
it was a best selling novel made into a movie. But the movie was very correct in showing what & how Alzheimer's progresses.
Have you seen the movie Haywire with Gina Carano?
@@aranerem5569 oh boy thanks for the recommendation!
Wait, why do you think they Victor Garber's character's girlfriend wasn't a minor? I don't remember the movie ever saying she wasn't actually a minor, she definitely was
@@kilian-one-l Hmmm, I’m not sure why we thought that. Probably giving Vic the benefit of the doubt… 🤔
Wooh chile the talking through out every minute and every second please don’t do that again chile 😭😭😭
You got it! We'll start recording our reactions in Chile. (And thanks for the feedback.)
the "don't get mad; get everything" lady was Trump's ex wife, Ivana (not kidding).
That makes total sense, thank you!
I really wanna watch chic flicks with you guys but I gotta tell you it's hard to enjoy it when all we hear from start to finish is your predictions and how you would have done it and why it's all unrealistic.
We're finding our voice, stick around maybe we'll be really good at this in a few years.
It's great when you laugh and make jokes during the most serious/moving/heartbreaking scenes. Keep it up!
Thanks! That’s the plan!! ❤
y'all looked at each other more than you looked at the movie. And you talked over most of the dialogue. But it's cool you enjoyed some of it.
This is slander and we won’t stand for it! Thanks for watching. 😅
@@FirstTime-li6ic LOL You know it's the truth😆
The marriage didn't start as a sham. It started as a real marriage until Stewart started cheating. It became a business arrangement because they were already "selling" and profiting off of their "amazing" marriage, so they continued the partnership to continue profiting off of their marriage. And Ryan said she had been struggling to get pregnant, so the pregnancy made the affair 10x more painful. She still loved her husband...
Excellent insight. Thanks for the clarification!
@ 2:50, the part where Tiffany "Lets go set it off", Queen & Jada look at each other and headnods, it's a reference to another movie also about 4 friends, starring Jada, Queen, Vivica Fox, & Kimberly Elise called, "Set It Off". Definitely recommend, but know it's a drama and not a comedy lol...
Is it a “chick flick?” Because we’re open to it.
@@FirstTime-li6ic It's a great chik flix
I like The Notebook as much as i like anything Shakespeare. Which is i don't. Sorry if I offend anyone 🙏🏼
Both Shakespeare and The Notebook were top level for their time. Now, not so much. 😉
this is an awesome idea !
Thank you!! 🎉
Yall talked thru the whole movie.how did yall even catch it all
We definitely talk too much but I think it helps us. 😇
Hi😂
🎉
Check out Sleeping with the Enemy with Julia Roberts lol
Now we’re talking.
Anything prime Julia Roberts did was gold
What year do you think "prime" ended? Because we have Eat Pray Love coming up and...
Probably like 2000 haha
Nice first episode. Look forward to some more
Thanks for checking it out!
Talking too much...
Thanks for the feedback!
You missed so many good jokes because you were too busy talking.
exactly!
I wouldn't say we "missed" any "good" jokes...
Exactly! I did step out of the channel in the first 8 minutes for this reason.
I'm glad Wade enjoyed it! Yeeeh ~
What about The Object of My Affection and Legally Blonde as suggestions?
Never heard of The Object of My Affection but I've definitely seen Legally Blonde. Maybe in a few years when it's flushed from my brain completely.
@@FirstTime-li6ic The Object of My Affection has Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston as leads. Also maybe I remember it wrong but I think Wade is not a Rudd fan :p . Give it a try tho ~
@@NalutM Nalut NO! I (Wade) love Rudd. I don't like Jeremy Renner for some reason.
@@FirstTime-li6ic Oh, I got confuse but that's good; maybe you are gonna have fun with The Object of my Affection
@@FirstTime-li6ic Yeah i was thinking about marvel actors and got the 2 mix up. To be fair tho...it's easier to find things you don't like xD
You unnecessarily worry about if it's "ok" to say chick flick because compelled speech and bing hyperly offended is so widespread today, yet you laugh and make jokes during the most most serious/moving/heartbreaking scenes. Horrible reaction.
Thanks for watching! We'll make sure to react more like you next time.
