This is an old thread, but my opener is still working great. Thought I would share a tip in case someone else has trouble though. These are older charge controllers for lead acid batteries, as such they must be connected first to battery, second to solar, and third to load - to disconnect you must disconnect load, solar and then battery. Mess that up and you will likely short out the charge controller. (It has a small blocking diode in it that burns out if connected in the wrong order - meant to save your load and prevent battery fires, but a real pain in the butt if you get it wrong.) I just junked the batteries and charge controller and went with a Renogy CC and LiFePO4 batteries. Otherwise I'd constantly be replacing those lead acid ones.

The instructions leave much to be desired, but if you take your time to really read, it can be done. I got mine installed. One of the trickiest parts was the remote, you have to press the 2 button for both gates. And there are instructions to access the settings on the control board.

To what ports on the control board is the load from the charge controller connected to?

This gate opener leaves much to be desired. The installation manual is terrible. The translation is awful . There are many steps missed and trying to program speed and remotes are next to impossible. Sorry I wasted 450.00 on this😢

This is a very unsafe video!!!! You should be demonstrating safe practices! Never use just electrician tape for line voltage. The wires are not mechanically secure and will easily pull out, exposing the voltage or it will degrade and kill someone. Demonstrate proper connections! Remember, you are selling this on Amazon, not all of your customers are knowledgeable of proper (safe) electrical procedures. It is your responsibility to show correct procedures.

1. Never connect to the battery first. You should always connect the load before power. If you touch the wires together after connecting to the battery, you will melt them. 2. You should be demonstrating how to do an actual install. Use terminals to connect to the battery! 3. Poor design, you don't provide any way to connect the solar panel. If I have a terminal on the battery already (going to the control board), how do I connect another terminal? This video should be a how-to do it right on the job site, not some lab setup.
