It is worth noting that this is a free-ish, instant speed target effect. Nadu would eat this this up if it could run it, but the valiant mice from Bloomburrow would also be triggered by this, and there are some very strong abilities there.

Other cards to consider are Ral, Storm Conduit, which gives you a damage payoff for casting and copying spells, and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer, which is another token generator. If you really want to abuse magecraft, run both Zada, Hedron Grinder and Deekah, Fractal Theorist. With both these in play and a board full of creatures, one cast of a spell that targets Zada gives you a board full of fractal tokens.

How mean would this be under isocron scepter?

Could be used if someone turn twos out a thoracle combo. You cast this in response to the trigger and they get a three turn clock

I think this deck needs a lot of low-cost spells to be effective. You want to cast exactly 2 spells a turn to maximize value from the commander. If you have a bunch of flashy creatures and low-cost instants, you can even pull this off during other players' turns, drawing a huge number of cards before it gets back around to your turn. With all the "You have no maximum hand size" in this deck, things start to get really fun.

Indeed. I am totally playing this one in my Yuma, Proud Protector Commander Deck. Some of the old cards just need to find the right budget Commander deck as a home.

Thank you for pointing out mortuary and haunted crossroads. Other decks focused on reanimator. I like this better because mine is focused on spell slinging and control. This allows me to reuse cards like mystic snake and as you stated before the evoke cards. Well done.
