Great video featuring a great watch! After years of wearing large divers I went smaller and bezel-free, picked up my Ranger a couple of months ago; absolutely love it! Super versatile, it goes on almost any strap. The only thing I really wish it had was a date window.. I think it could easily be a one watch for me then. It's the one reason I've been looking at the BB pro.
I do love a good date window. I personally prefer the wearability of the Ranger quite a bit over the pro. Maybe a bit controversial to say 🙄 but the pro feels almost top heavy on my wrist (6 and 3/4) whereas The ranger feels more balanced and just fits like a glove. Pro is a beauty though! I saw a 1 minute review video of the completely redesigned Rolex Milguass... the photo was oblique @ off angle in all ss. I'm really in hopes I'm not the only human outside the"Sworn to Die!"public relations secrecy morons @ Rolex. I was so focused on details of this ,"off angle",photo.Im hear to witness the redesign of this watch is so different and so profòund... You would swear it could NOT be from the traditional conservative history of Rolex design. Start with the band.Had to be woven not linked together.Photo never showed dial or face design but even shape of main mechanics body was non-traditional.Nothing I focused on about the watch said Rolex... muchless,"Milguass" Unfortunately someone felt the Cat escaping from the P/R department,40 seconds into this 1minute review and evaporated never to be found again.will someone please confirm I'm not insane!!!
The design of this model was just what I was looking for in my next watch. The clean unassuming face with a brushed steel case/bracelet and solid build quality that doesn't attract attention. This fits my style of a luxury daily driver like a Toyota Land Cruiser, well done Tudor.
I feel the exact same way about this the Ranger. It gives you great wearing dimensions and quality but is only really noticed by other watch nerds. Practical and subtle but such a cool piece. Thanks for the comment and I kinda wish I had a Land Cruiser for the video, perfect pairing 😊
Thanks for the reply. You should add a Toyota Land Cruiser to your stable it will serve you well. I've purchased 2 pre-owned LCs, my first was a 2001 and currently own a 2016. The '16 is much more refined but I still like the body style of the '01. @@CodysWatchChannel

There was no Ranger on this expedition. You know it, and Tudor does. The watch is great.

The thickness of the bracelet compliments the thickness of the dial i.e. It looks and feels like a solid watch. The timing is second to none. And I wear shirts and there are two types of cuffs: tight and loose. Most work shirts (higher brands) tend to have loose cuffs for things like watches, this would be the same for smart dress shirts, too: I've had no snag when wearing it. And finally, there is something alluring about this watch that I can't find in any other brand and style - I tried the role, but the numerals on the bezel just out do the rest of the watch.
Honestly a great watch that I'm really considering. Perfect for every day I think

I understand the controversy regarding the thickness of this watch, but bear in mind that any chronograph with a Valjoux or SW500 movement will have similar or greater thickness. Nobody talks about this though...
Greetings, I liked your video. I have a 20 mm wrist and have always worn 41 models (submariner, datejust, red Black Bay jubillee, Black Bay harrods). I really like the Black Bay Pro. just that I have in mind due to the size of 39 mm. In the video, however, the Black Bay Pro doesn't really look any smaller compared to the Explorer ll 42 mm. I received this as my wedding present from my now wife back in 2015. It's actually a watch I've always wanted even over a Sub. Funny enough when she bought it the Rolex dealer insisted she buy the one with the blue dial instead of the black one. Guess i was a good choice by her :)

I bought one of these in 2015 in black before the watch market went insane at the time i could of had any of the rolex range as they were in the window, daytonas gmts subs. Just never took to the way any of thee others looked they were just to big and clumsy looking were as this was low key smart not big on the wrist, loved the colour the lighting bolt it just stood out amongst the rest in the window. Its a unique looking watch and im glad i bought it
The only Rolex that I ever sold .....thickness made it very top heavy .
It’s a unique one, a great watch overall but the case almost feels dated. I think it’ll come back in the new air king case with the crown guards. Maybe this spring. Thanks for the comment!

I own one. All I can say is that this watch needs to be judged in person - the way the matte finish steel and domed glass reflects light is just sublime.

I have had mine for about 6 months now and the thickness is not even noticeable. The watch wears really well and is beautiful.

Thanks for watching. It was a pretty interesting piece compared to the rest of the catalog. I believe this was the last one my AD received so cut it pretty close
