เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ก.ค. 2017
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a rare motor speech disorder. Specialized treatment is important. Approximately 1 to 2 children out of 1,000 have CAS. Children with CAS have difficulty planning and programming the necessary movements to produce speech. Accurate apraxia diagnosis and specialized treatment are essential.

Thank you very much for sharing this precious video! I'm a mom to a 7 y.o. who's been in slp therapy for 4 years with 3 different SLP practionners but never got assessed for CAS, this condition must remain quite unknown here in France. I've learned about CAS from you and now training myself to be able to implement DTTC therapy with my daughter, after adapting it for the French. So THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH.
Hi Julia i am interested to know thé resources available in the French language for working with children with CAS? Thank you so much for any suggestions !
Thank you for this wonderful session.
I have Apraxia of speech ,it's never really explained to me and this helped me alot.thank you!
So glad to hear that the video helped you, Emmy!
Emmy, and how is your speech today when you've grown into adult?
Can you speak now?
I would love to hear more about your experience. I have twins and there barely say a word or two and they're 26 months old. When compared to my older child I can see my twins have a huge delay in their speech.
Amazing:) thank you
Thank you for this training being available! My daughter is , has been in speech since two. I am learning so much to continue to help her. My daughter has been motivated since day one and is so smart. Thank you for the aid, suggestions, confirmations of what we are doing with her as the right things! I am also a teacher and am thankful for the professional training in helping students I come across in my classroom and that good communication with parents. Although I can't diagnose, I talk to many parents, as just another parent to encourage them in their child's development. I will be implementing some of your techniques though to take note for myself of individual needs and in teaching phonics and communication!
