You passed up both Stun Laser and Shockwave Hammer to take.. Probe?! Oh dear... 😂 that does not help you survive at all When you have Drilling Rig, go for Side Driller upgrade as fast as you can (before Wide Tunnels) because it will help you with the tough rock, it will keep mining while you're fighting, and can be a big help overall especially for this assignment. There's also a supplement for it that gives 3 _additional_ side drillers, so you can have 4 in total! That's quite a lot of mining power, especially if you also pay 4 iron and 2 water to upgrade the speed. Also if you take Probe (don't!) but since you did, you need to use it EVERY time you go down, or it's even more of a waste. You can recharge it when you come back up if there's time before the wave, or on the way back down otherwise. I'd also recommend Fast Stab over Long Stab for these tougher assignments. You'll get more damage in with more frequent stabs, as it recharges quicker. If you pair that with the Stab Bomb Delivery supplement, you won't have anymore survivability problem 😄
Thanks for the tips! To be fair at that moment survivability felt like a skill issue rather than lack of tools, so I figured if i play a little better I should be a-okay :D Also, you miiiiiight not like the next Dome Keeper episode as I attempted the assignment again just yesterday, before your tips 😂 As a small spoiler, I definitely did not like fast stab. I'll give it another shot though. I definitely learned that mining is not really as much of an issue as surviving in this particular assignment
@beezvax It's definitely a tough assignment, I feel ya. Best of luck 🙏
@beezvax And yeah fast stab definitely is why people say that Sword dome has a learning curve. But I promise once you get used to it, it's an absolute beast weapon!
@@BeheadedKamikaze I've picked it up on accident in the next run, and maybe it was just me being caught off-guard, but it felt at the moment that is not dealing nearly enough damage as long stab did (Not saying that's the case, just felt like it in the moment). I will give it a shot in non-assignment run, just to get a better feel of it :) However I can definitely see how it'd be veeeeeery strong with explosive suppliment :D
55:05 yeah that's why you don't take Buzz Saw for these assignments 😆
Oh man that was -extremely- frustrating! Like, buzz saws worked great up until that point, but then...big oof. Lucky infinite rockets were there
@ haha yeah it was good you found that. Would have been a restart otherwise. My suggestion would have been Auto Cannon and Spire. They can both operate autonomously and you can just stay underground the whole time after you unlock that. The supplement for Fast Firing Auto Cannon makes a big difference as well, but you would wanna make sure you pick the machinegun path, not the shotgun path. I lost a run because the shotgun was firing too slow to take out all the enemies in the final wave, even with the fast upgrade.
@@BeheadedKamikaze You know, I was debating on picking auto-cannon before I started recording, but figured I'd get something for ranged enemies (rockets) and something for melee (buzz saw). Almost cost me the run, but hey, all's well that ends well!
43:50 You're allowed to heal manually again once you take Dome Resurrection 😉 But I think you made a better choice at the time for the Double Buzz Saw upgrade.
Glad to hear I mad the right call for once :D
Do you think there is a redemption for the Great Wall blessing after this?
Truffle not attacking that Pufball there would have meant a shorter video X))
Oh, that was totally calculated 😅
Unsurprising. Great Wall is the worst dash, maybe power, in the game. Too bad you were doing so well.
Yeah, it doesn't appear to be that great. Which is fine, but it working against me was not something I expected 😓
You missed that Machoke was shiny :(
Wait what?! How can one tell that the pokemon is shiny? I'm looking at it now @3:55 and it looks like any other card to me 😅 I didn't even know they had shiny here!
@beezvax The different color, Machoke isn't usually green.
@@joshuaarroyo1264 I did not even realize that! You have a keen eye :D
Oh well, it was a good try. But interesting to see the value of the ticket! I had no idea about it. Granted I haven't played in quite a while.
Nice to still discover new things in a game you've been playing for a while now!
Nice try :) Tip for combat: you must place the Scarab at top priority. That's the flying boss that floats down from above the dome in the centre of the screen. It shoots _so many_ projectiles and they do more damage than anything else. It has two phases; once it comes out of the shield you really need to take it down ASAP because the damage really ramps up fast. That's the main reason you burned through all of your cobalt so quickly. Ignore the monsters that it spawns until after you take it down. Tip for mining: you have drones, so don't hold resources with you when you're underground. But *do* take an Iron Worm with you everywhere you go, so you don't waste time going back to look for one once you find the iron. Hope this helps next time :D <3
Hey! As always, thanks for the tips! I didn't realize the boss enemy is dealing THAT much damage! I kind of felt like I should thin out enemy numbers first before going after the boss, based on assumption that that many enemies would clearly outdamage a single one :D Good to know though, will adjust in the future! For the iron worms - honestly, I just dreaded navigating the tunnels of my own creation with a worm attached, just waiting to get stuck somewhere 😂 I do need to play with drones better. With the amount of upgrades I toss their way, it feels like they are not bringing resources quick enough, beyond whatever few I could not pick up. Guess I need some test runs with drones just to find that sweet spot where they start performing
Have you ever had worse luck finding relic than this?
Do you think it's time to lower the difficulty and get some fun runs in instead?
Any clue what the ticket quest is all about?
Am I going crazy? Did the increased resources affect the guild assignment?
guild assignments have always been. . . . difficult.... like that, that i can remember.
@@Alturvexs Oh yeah, they definitely are difficult (some more than others). Makes playing them fun though!
I've found summon builds to be woefully weak even on Merris. They need balancing.
I absolutely agree with you. I know there are some people in community who managed to get summon builds to work for them (the absolute madmen!), but overall the summon builds have so far been disappointing. Luckily the developers are improving summons in upcoming patches (not sure about the numbers, but AI is getting reworked), so there's still hope!
What kind of builds do you think Druid will have when it finally comes out?
Wildfrost videos surely popped of recently. It is how I just found your channel as well. This is an incredible game, the second Slay the Spire in my opinion in terms of popularity and fun factor and I am glad to discover more and more people enjoying this game.
Hey! Thanks for giving channel a chance! The game has a very nice learning curve and just challenging enough where you don't want to stop. I've only just recently gave pokefrost mod a try as suggested by another viewer. Can't recommend it enough if you haven't tried it yet
The Stag doesn't fly, but it sure does like to spit projectiles! You might also want to place the Butterfly at a higher target priority, as they do launch several volleys with a large number of high-damage projectiles as they slowly move across the top of the screen. This should be doable with Tesla but you need to practice charging the shots ahead, as your reticle is moving towards the spot where you want to shoot. Alternatively, you could try the Sword dome with Long Stab - I think it's great for taking down a lot of weak enemies rather quickly, plus you can block / reflect projectiles. And the Sword dome has 200 more HP compared to Tesla. For gadget picks, Spire is #1 for this challenge, and you had the right idea picking Energy Trap. You probably just need to upgrade the recharge time / shots before recharge when there's a large number of projectile-firing enemies. Shockwave Hammer is also great because the flying enemies are typically a bit weak, so it can almost clear out the sky in one hit when upgraded.
Thank you for the tips! I am glad to hear I was on the right track with the Spire. I definitely need more practice, especially for the challenge difficulty of the assignments, but it looks very doable. Still getting a feel of which enemies do most damage though! Next time I do this assignment I will definitely try Sword Dome. On an unrelated note, the name @BeheadedKamikaze and the picture - that's from Serious Same series, isn't it? Loved it!
@beezvax Right you are! Such a great game, and I loved the sounds they made 😂 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAHH * boom! *

Which talents?
Hey! You can pause the video at 27:43 to see the talents I used for the build (Unfortunately I've no talent calculator to link to for easier access)
Oh, I guess Magikarp does need to be in play now. Harsh nerf. I don't think Magikarp would need to land the killing blow, because frankly that's cruel, but it might need to survive until the end of the battle.
I truly hope it isn't the killing blow, else that'd take a little bit more prep 😅
Magikarp does need to land the killing blow. If you aren't in shademancers your starting deck has a way to give Magikarp attack. The point of the design is to have a hard evolve condition for a powerful reward.
@ Welcome back :D I did figure it out, eventually that indeed Magikarp does need to land the killing blow. Good news is - I actually managed to pull it off its evolution too!
You'll get the hang of it! I will say it's a good idea to think of pokemon the same way you would consider shademancer companions: a lot of potential, but not a lot of immediate value. Most pokemon especially have poor direct stats, so they tend not to be too helpful against early bosses. The game is a lot different thanks to how often they'll dilute your usual pool of companions and items, making classic synergies you might previously hunt for a lot less reliable to achieve. The trade-off being that if you can get through those weak periods, a lot of evolved pokemon are absurdly strong. Also, some pokemon can evolve without you even using them as active party members, such as Magikarp: so long as you can meet the requirements outside of fights, they don't necessarily have to actually appear in any battles to grow stronger. Hope that helps!
That does help! As always, thank you so much for the advise. I did a couple of runs outside of recordings and it did seem like some of the new companions can get crazy strong, especially with evolutions. I think I need to stop picking every pokemon I see and instead try and think about the builds again, despite how fun it seems to pick every new pokemon you see 🥲
Aw man, sorry to see that. Really great effort, but you got a very difficult spawn 😞 I like your idea of using the repellent for more time, effectively making the waves less powerful - good luck with that one! It's a doozy
It did feel like 2nd spawn was a little more rough than usual :D Was fun attempting though, definitely needs a very thought-out approach. But probably good idea to put it on a backburner for now 😅
Haze goes away if you sub them out by dragging the unit back to the deck for healing. There's no reason to just take those hits.
Never considered getting rid of debuffs by pulling companions back into the deck, thank you for the tip!
Upside Down is one of the hardest challenges and most people (including me) would recommend leaving it until last. It's got an insane enemy wave strength (300%) and you don't get to pick a starting gadget either!
Well this is unexpected :D I was convinced that upside down would be the easiest challenge yet, after all it's just an upside down map! Thanks for warning me!
@@beezvax It's all in the wave weight. You'll need a dome / setup that doesn't require heavy upgrades early to be able to survive.
@@BeheadedKamikaze Interesting. Well now I'll have to try it off-camera just to see what I've got to look forward to :D
@@beezvax Record it just in case! 😁 it is doable, so you never know! ❤
@@BeheadedKamikaze Would be funny if I did it on a first try, although by the sounds of it that'd be quite unlikely :D
Good try. I'd recommend: set your converter to automatically repeat conversion. It will eject the resources, which your bots can pickup. Biggest time loss is heading back to the dome... Also holding resources that the bots could carry back. Just dig and let them do the carrying. Another good option could be Iron Worms, as they give you +1 iron PER TILE. Don't go meticulous worms because it's far too slow, and unless you also take the Teleporter you need to maximise travel efficiency. It's better to go fast worms and then get the 2x worms per cycle upgrade. Yet another option includes looking for the Underground Station and then finding the Cartography supplement for it - that'll grant you a mini-map where you can just see where all the iron is.
Thanks for the tips! I was kind of getting that I waste a lot of time going back and forth. At least the drones were correct choice! And I have definitely missed the auto-repeat conversion, that alone might've saved the run... I tried worms in the previous run, and yeah, I came to the same conclusion where meticulous while extremely efficient, turned out to be a bit too slow of the challenge. It's alright though, the challenge looks very doable!
@@beezvax yeah I think you need Teleporter or high speed Lift to make it really work, otherwise the constant up & down will kill it
@@BeheadedKamikaze I'll have to experiment with that. I definitely don't want to replace my resource packer 😓

Thanks for the video.
Hope you enjoyed it :)
Congratulations! It's been a pleasure to watch you get this far and finally achieve the true ending. Now to just beat overcrank mode (I kid, don't do it it's not fun). I knew you'd come around on Clunkmasters. They're a bit hard to wrap your head around at first but the reward for learning their gimmicks is immense. Many a run carried by Plinker. I'd definitely recommend mods; Pokefrost is a personal favorite, if a little unbalanced.
Thank you for following the journey and sharing your tips! It would definitely take me twice as long to reach this point without them. Also, I appreciate your support during this whole time, made me not want to quit 😄 I definitely don't intend to drop the game, gonna see what else is there to do if not just do a couple of 10 bell runs for the fun of it. Not sure yet about recording them though. Do let me know if it'd be interesting to see modded runs, as I do have a plast playing, but I'm not sure if watching is just as fun 😅
@@beezvax Beyond this point there's a few things you could do. You could try and get a true ending with every different storm bell, or every different clan, maybe finish up on unlocking things you haven't. Each card you beat the true final boss with gets a gold border, so you could try for a gold border on each pet; trying to gold border the entire collection of cards is a bit much though. I think it would be interesting to see modded runs, though that's coming from the perspective of somebody who has already 100%'d the base game. There's a lot of good mods out there that really shake things up. As mentioned there's Pokefrost, but I've seen a few people really enjoy Snowfall as well. And if you wanted to take a break from posting Wildfrost content for a while, I'd totally understand. Don't feel obligated to keep playing for the sake of one person if you think other games might get you more views.
You didn't use any cobalt because when you "died" and the dome resurrected, it also gives you 30 seconds of invulnerability. GG!
30 second invulnerability was MVP on that one, I think I was too excited about completing the first challenge run that I didn't even notice :D Thanks for bringing this up!
2:11 I think at least for Iron the tree wants at least 3-4 iron blocks, also when widening the center shaft maybe only make it two blocks wide, it would be asymmetrical and not as wide but it would take a little less time
Not looking pretty on the screen - that's a deal breaker! On a serious note, that does make sense, I'll try to keep in in mind. But I can't promise I won't try and make it symmetrical on auto-pilot 😓
Tree can grow up to three connected resources, max. If you don't connect any resource tiles to the roots you'll get 1 iron. You can mix any combination of iron, water, and cobalt - however the max. number of cobalt tiles that it can use is 1, and the max. number of water tiles that it can use is 2 - more than that is wasted. So the ideal would be 1 cobalt and 2 water for a very long run, or perhaps 2 iron and 1 water for a shorter run. 3 iron can also be useful if you have Condenser or just aren't using much water (mainly upgrading keeper and dome weapon).
@@BeheadedKamikaze And in order to "connect" nodes to a tree, they'd have to be relatively close in the same area I'd imagine?
@@beezvax The roots grow 1 tile per cycle so yeah they need to be about half a screen away MAX to be of any use. By connected, I mean you can form an unbroken chain of rock or resource tiles from the seed to each connected resource, in the same way that Iron Worms work.
@@BeheadedKamikaze Makes sense. Thanks for detailed description 👍
43:06 not even close you said ? Wrong. You were close to victory, actually you did better than what you've said. Artillery dome is just as good as any other dome, especially with the AoE of shells against multiples enemies attacking from everywhere. There nothing wrong with your overall run besides some small mistakes that could have made the difference : - First, you didn't used Suit blaster. Many times it was loaded and you didn't use it. Also you should have upgraded it, and early. It would have helped you A LOT with big iron clusters and also save you time with hard rocks and clearing the pathway to your dome faster. Sure it would have cost you a bit, but the times it saves surpasses the costs. - Spending on Shield overcharge is not really worth it in this mode as it is a single use for the whole big fight, and most of your shield bar went to 0 because you came back few seconds too late😅 . That and any other "single use" defense upgrades are not really usefull in this mode for the same reason. The Spire on the other hand would have benefited you more by upgrading the shot reload speed. Aside from that, you did quite good by prioritizing early on mining upgrades, activating Squidley as soon as you discovered it, widening your pathway to avoid having resources stuck. Also side notes : - There as been an update recently, the seed of the Mineral tree Cave is way faster to grow, so for future runs if you find it, don't hesitate to pick it and to plant it on resource vein (for this purpose, it is 200 % worth, to leave a resource vein untouched early in the run, especially if it is close to your pathway back to your dome). - Square artifacts in the mine are *"secondary gadgets"* (primary ones are the one of the dome by default : Shield, Orchard, Droneyard and Repellent) - Round artifacts in the mines are *"supplements"* (cost you one water, they upgrade secondary gadgets) BTW : there's none that upgrade your main weapon nor your primary gadget - Random immediate use upgrades in the mine are *"caves"* (Squidley, Cross pattern bomb, Resource teleporter, Mineral Tree, etc ...) - *"Relics"* is the artifact you bring up to your Dome to end the game (there's none in this mode) Hope you'll succeed for your next run ✌
Hey, thanks for the reply! I guess I was a little salty when I said it wasn't even close :D There definitely weren't as many enemies. I think with better aim and prioritization I might've even had it! And thanks for the pointers, I'll try to call the items their correct names next time! Tree getting buffed does sound exciting though, it did feel a little weak last time I used it, I'll make sure to leave a mineral node untouched to see exactly how good it is!
@@beezvax Your are welcome. Frankly, I think you did good, aiming is more crucial when you use Monster Buster path for artillery Dome, but with the Blast radius path you've picked, its more about spray and pray. For the mineral tree : I guarantee since 4.1 it regain its glory. It roughly takes between 2-3 cycles between sowing to production, while it used to be around 7-8 cycles before IIRC. Though, Mineral tree strengths can go unnoticed when combined with Drones as they are harvesting it automatically and passively, also placed wisely it can be just as useful as the Resource Converter/Condenser when it come to Water and Cobalt. You just have to be lucky to find the seed early enough and keep a fertile vein intact.
@@lukaszpokoju Well, you've restored my faith in the mineral tree then! Gonna see if I can find it and see it in action!
@@lukaszpokoju "there's none that upgrade your main weapon" - you are inaccurate here, every dome has a very powerful supplement that upgrades the primary weapon. Laser gains Double Laser (160% overall power boost plus shoot on both sides), Sword gains Stab Bomb Delivery (huge AoE explosion), Tesla gains Perfect Timing (boost shot power if timed right), and Artillery gains Deafening Blast (a stun effect for nearby monsters)
Shall we continue playing the game, or would you like to see something else now that we've finished Cobalt Core?
at certain point becomes too easy even maxing the +30 thing
Do you mean the darkness, that goes up to 100? If so, then the this run is at 100 and as you can see, not every build can get past it 😅 Gramted, my items were not the best for powers that I ran with, but I have definitely had easier time with other builds :D
I fell for the status build once again 😅
I mean, it has to work eventually right? I did want to ask you a question though: I've hardly ever seen you play with the clunkmasters. Is that just personal preference?
@@lordmondayix3851 yeaaah, sort of. I don't really have anything against them, I just feel like the pool of cards they have doesn't resonate with me 😅 But I'll make sure to pick them next time, see if I change my mind :D
@@beezvax I promise they're fun. Or at least they are to me. I just like all the ways they can break the game.
@@lordmondayix3851 Oh I have no doubt that they are :D Just need to find my niche in there! Need to figure out if there's some fun to be had with scrap or junk builds maybe
Im using nihn attack to stunlock enemys, i need to try to combine it with Reprisal
Reprisal is definitely a very solid pick imo, good for supporting, I wonder if it could be a blessing to build entire run around though?
@@beezvax i just tested it and it doesnt work, reprisal dont activate when enemy stand still stunned, so i swapped for knockback attack and it was much more better
@@glorybringer8817 Ahhh, makes sense, and the damage alone would not be enough to down an enemy with just 1 reprisal. Good to know though, thank you!
It was a good attempt, but at least now you know what the vase is about. Picking up a card with a strong effect to synergize it with, such as blaze tea or sun cream, can lead to making some pretty broken items and party members. And you'll really need those broken effects.
Yuuup! Now the plan is to figure out, which items work best with it...and of course surviving until vase can be fixed 😅
The ship can never die as long as we keep pumping blood into it. Thanks for the video.
Blood for the blood...ship?
Riggs has double the cockpit for double the weak parts. Thanks for the video.
Cant blame Riggs for wanting more space
Love how Books can put their hands on their character box. Something no other character does. Thanks for the video.
Haha, problably because Books seems to be living outside the time loop everyone's in!
Fun fact: Hull Fracture changes the ship part's status to brittle then hides it. So if you memorize the ship layout and a normally weak or armored ship part shows up blank, that is the brittle point. Thanks for the video.
Oooh, that's clever! Now just need to memorize the enemy ship layouts 😅 I do love the item though
Can we pretend Juke is Riggs doing a Barrel Roll? Thanks for the video
That sounds lore-accurate :D
Glad you didn't go with Riggs. We don't need a third Riggs running around this broken timeline. Thanks for the video.
Haha, we ended up getting more Riggs anyway later on (they were selling Riggs plushie a little while ago). Thanks for watching!
Yeah Solar Flare on low Hull is a death sentence all right. Can't shield overheating damage. Thanks for the video.
As always, the solution is more damage :D Can't take heat damage if you leave the combat quick enough!
It's not a bug btw, it's a intended mechanic, but it gets out of control the blades merge together to prevent performance issues, accumulating all damage from merged blades into one Its the same as when XP gems merge to one This has actually existed since blades was first implemented, all the way back in act 1 I've had discussions with Ren about it previously and some adjustments are in the works to make it less abusable, but keep the identity of it being able to exist as a build. Blades in the future will break when bouncing too many times off enviroments, and will also have increased velocity making it less likely to just casually avoid them
Thanks for pointing it out. I've pinned your message so hopefully it doesn't cause confusion!
Be thankful you only encounter Grandma behind the store counter in this game and not behind the wheel of a ship. She still does bounty work to supplement her income. Thanks for the video.
Haha, I'm sure there is a mod for a grandma-bounty hunter out there somewhere :D Thanks for watching!
@@beezvax It's actually a reference to the previous game by the company called Sunshine Heavy Industries. Granny likes her guns.
@@Yacovo Really? I wasn't aware! Now I'll have to find it and see for myself :D
The Gemini is all about rhythm. Timing the cannons with card plays is the biggest hurdle. Thanks for the video.
I like the concept of the ship, but it does require a little bit more thought behind the deck-building than I usually do
Congrats on not falling for the scaffold trap. The Gemini can get really screwed when the symmetry is lost. Thanks for the video.
It was tempting though! I can't help but click yes on such offers because it just -sounds- fun. Sometimes reason prevails though 😅
