Nice install, can you please explain how you removed the speaker panel?
I was able to install the SPAR Lights on my 2019 and this video was extremely helpful! I missed the part where you said to remove the passenger hand rails and also the plastic push rivets from inside the trunk in order to remove the speaker panel. I guess you are the only one who has a detailed video on this scenario where you install the 2021 and above SPAR lights on a 2018-2020 Goldwing Trunk! Blessings to you sir! 🙏
FreddyB....I was trying to install the same mount on my GW and ended up stripping the screw...at a certain point the screw just stopped and there was a good amount of gap so I got down on it and ended up stripping the factory screw...waiting on a new one at this time.....did I use the wrong type of Phillips?...I know I've heard of a JIS screwdriver was that the on you used ??.. I called Goldstrike and they sent me another one I'm just not trying to have a repeat of what happened to get me here
Yes, I used my JIS screwdriver on all my Goldwing parts the appear to be Phillips head. Sorry you ran into problems and I wish you well on your second attempt!
Nice ride brother.
Thanks!
Hey Freddy...nice video...I was just looking at the LS2 helmet...wasn't sure if it was comfortable..How do you like it?
Thanks for the compliment! I really like the versatility of the LS2 helmet! My only problem is installing electronics to the faceplate that moves! I had to use some creativity. It's a great helmet otherwise!
good to see a fellow Air Force vet doing motovlogs. good video
Thanks! Go Air Force!
Freddy you have your Wing looking really nice. Love your choice of lights. They not only look great but get people to pay attention to you making you a little bit safer. Ya’ll looking great out there.
Thanks! And other than the hear, I really enjoyed the day!
I'm interested on MP3. I'm not used to counter steering - I notice that you don't seem to do it, unless you're doing it subtly?
Yes, there is a need to countersteer on the MP3; however, it is a little different than a standard motorcycle. I think it is a little strange for folks who are used to a regular motorcycle for in my opinion, the bike is more flickable than an normal bike which can cause some uneasiness if your'e not used to it. It does have more grip in the from when its raining!. Also, you have to be prepared when you leave from a stop while the bike is locked in the upright position. If you're not ready, you can drop the bike!
Yes . I had one . Moto techs hated to see me coming 3 wheels more work and part's to break . But if you know how to work on it .I sold mine . I got new burgman 400 now .
@@joseadavila7445 what're the common parts that will break? I have to scout it in advance for availability..
@@freddybgoldwinging2605 Hi man, I came across you're Chanel true the powers of algo and my interset in bikes/Scooters. I Have A Yamaha Tricity 300, and that "flickable" And uneasiness (For me: Front suspension causing it) Really scared me at the first 100K. Really, mostly on motorways/Highways. Or if the roadesurface is ... troublesome. Still not feeling 100% about it. Also, coming from to 2 wheels.
Freddy that is one sharp bike !!! Ride Safe Sir !!
Thanks!
Love what you got going on Freddie! Looking great out there. Best to you.
Thanks, you too!
I appreciate your kindness and support!
Really like these Freddy. So much I bought a set.
Glad you like them! Enjoy yours!
Worked great thanks
Thanks for the install Freddy, you gave me the motivation to finish mine, I'm about 60% done, also love the way your panels and seat line up perfectly, mine not so much 😂especially since I installed a Corbin seat.
Well organized riding is a beautiful thing!
It sure is!
Nice !!!...I've hd my 2024 Bagger since last Thursday...rode it back from TN...can't await to take it on another road trip...Planning one right now...Freddy holla at me I'm in GA in your neck of the woods...safe travels!
Nice work. I had about every light on my last Wing I could do. Besides being personalized it's very much about safety. Stay safe.
Wow! Nice job Freddy! Looks awesome.
Good Job Freddy, I did the exact same install. great use of guide tape !!
Look nice. I’ve had the Kuryakyn ones on my 2019, and my 22. FYI, I purchased them on Amazon..
Thanks, TJINY! I'm glad you found the right ones!
Always a nice job Freddy! Bike looks awesome.
Thanks! Now if I can overcome my technical difficulties!!
You’re welcome and thanks for your comments!
Nice install. Thanks for sharing.
Well done Sir. Just when I thought I was done with accessories……😮
Yeah, I understand. I thought I was about finished also but I knew there was at least three sets I wanted. Now that I'm done, there's just one or two more I can consider.
This vdo kind off helped as the instructions that came with showchrome upper deflectors were awful ! Thanks again.
Thank you Chris,I did these installs today and your video was essential. It made things much easier. I appreciate you taking the time to share your install experience. Ride safe & ride often👍
You're right about doing things differently! I am a brand new man! New heart, new desires, and new mind! We are starting a Faithriders chapter in Jackson, TN and will ride with purpose of spreading the gospel :)😊. Oh, and happy anniversary 🎉
Excellent video. Where I live there aren’t many scooters. I saw one of these 3 wheelers pass by today. Very surprised. What are the oil change and valve adjustment intervals on this bike? Be safe…Peace..
I haven't check on the intervals of maintenance yet. I just take good care of mine with regular oil changes and such. Thanks for the well wishes!
Outstanding Freddy, got mine done on the first try!
Great seeing you out there Freddy. The Gold Wing sounds great. More in 24!
Nice tour thanks enjoyed that thanks freddy ive come across some great views by just going a different way ps im really enjoying the mp3
You put out some nice videos! Happy Anniversary!
No wonder everyone just uses a stick-on puck light. All of the disassembly is the very reason I don't install a lot of accessories. Lol
I know it sounds silly but this is honestly the most amazing feature I've ever seen on a motorbike.
Have you had any issues since installation?
Freddy - love your videos. Do you find the standard windscreen offers enough protection?
The standard windshield is fine but one day I will get a larger one, but not too large!
Watching your video is part of my pre installment homework. I have read the instructions but watching someone actually install the light is a tremendous help. Thanks for a great video. 🙏
Definitely with you. I do not like riding in the rain and when it's cold too...I would rather not. Thanks for the video. Just riding. I find this type of video strangely meditative. Stay safe!
Thanks for watching!
Always good to see you Freddie
Add some gospel music next time. Great looking lights. God bless and be safe.
Thanks for the tip!
Nice.
Thanks!
I used a Craftsman workbench mat for the floor (it fits perfectly)…. And i sprayed the sides with Flex seal…. deadens the sound quite a bit….. 2 small stick on lights from Lowes to light the interior 🤗
The Flex seal was a good idea! I too have a small magnetic rechargeable stick up light to see things inside.
Great video, I agree with your comments about the commercialism of videos more and more. Really glad to just see a guy out there riding without trying to sell me something
Thanks! I'll continue to share when I can.
What type of GPS?
It's an old Garmin 595L.
Brought back some memories, I got off the bike in 2018, a wing, traveled every state on that thing and loved every mile. That looks like an automatic and as much as I liked my 2010 Goldwing I think I would try the auto if I ever got back on a bike again.
I had second thoughts about getting an automatic but since I already owned a Suzuki Burgman 650, an automatic wasn't that daunting! I really love the DCT and have no regrets. Do consider one when you get back out there!
Great video. I'm new to riding, I ride a 2021 trike. I also live in ga. Henry County. Be safe 🙏🏽
Hello! Henry County is not far from where I live in Fayette County. I hope to see you on the road sometime. You be safe also!
Hi, love your uploads, you ride very much on the highway, are you ever riding on backroads . I live in Denmark and love to se videoes from other places
You are right, I am on my 3rd Wing and touring is what I love to do. My wife and I have toured many states but I also love to be on the road by myself also. Keep riding and enjoying the ride. Oh by the way, I have same trailer I pull with my 2012 Airbag model. I ride with a heated jacket liner and heated gloves and with the heat on the seat and grips I stay toasty even down into the 30's. Be safe, have fun.
Wow! You're more devoted and more prepared for the weather than I! I bought my trailer used but I really like it. I hope you are enjoying yours!
Been pulling mine for 11 yrs. It has been painted 3 times on the sides to match my bikes. lol @@freddybgoldwinging2605
Great video. Keep up the touring. I need to do more on my 2018 DCT tour. Be safe out there
Thanks! Yes, do more touring! It’s a great bike on which to tour!
Bike still looking great Freddy. Love those additional puddle lights. Was that a kit, or home made?
Thanks for the compliment! Those were custom installed and not a kit, although I did tap into the Honda made puddle lights for power. Some of the lights k added are now being sold as kits from different manufactures.
Remind me of my rides on my mp 3 500 ie sports 2019 that i put 8,000.00 ml on it .i sold it for fear of future mechanical problems in the 2 wheel system in the front . I even put a akropovic muffler . And large top box . Motoshops hated to see me coming . If you have problems with 2 wheel systems in the front good luck in finding a mechanic that knows how to work on it in the USA. Robot from scooter west san diego ca has videos on this . good luck.i have a Suzuki burgman 400 now 2023 . Kawasaki vulcan s .klx 230 dual sport. Been dreaming about new goldwing . Auto or manual ? I preferd manual. But my bikes that i have now are fully paid for . That holds me against goldwing.
Thanks for the tips on the scooter! I used to own two different Suzuki Burgman 650s and loved them! I understand about your not wanting to go into debt by buying a Goldwing. I traded a ST1300 and a Burgman 650 to get my Goldwing. I don’t regret getting the Goldwing but I do miss my Burgman 650. Take care!
Where was your phone?
Good question! I should have addressed that at the end. It was sitting on my living room couch where I must have left it when I was putting on my boots. So glad I found it!! Thanks for asking!
