Well, today marked the final day in service of 'The Nightfighter' 43924 at The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway... Sounds like you’ve got different sounds on the wayside engines. How’d you get the,?
If youre referring to the barclay - thats because this version is over a year old.
@@SteamingThroughYorkshire ohhh
Steady on the regulator mate
hi, was wondering when this will be released to the public, looking forward to it!
When will the north norfolk route be out I CANT WAIT!!!
idk
What routes and trains do you have installed because I’m trying to find the missing assets to load the map fully
Looks very good, much better than the original textures. Shame this can't be uploaded for all to enjoy since the Phorum Peninsular has been discontinued. Though I hope, unless someone is developing a new model from scratch, someone has the foresight to set this engine up as it's own individual file so it can be distributed again, if only as a stopgap until a better one comes out.
unfortunately it would be largely illegal to distribute this model anywhere.
Train sim world 3 is boring..
how do you get the cumbrain mountain express headboard?
Wow! We can see some extreme fidelity - how much of this did you do yourself? We don’t own a copy of the game!
I didn't do much myself, as it was primarily Rob, thank you though!
@@SteamingThroughYorkshire It's a great ride! Thanks for sharing
Hope they put the pack up for sale or someone like CW or BMG makes a new S100
How does this compare with JT's? Also will this ever be released?
the only similarity with this & tbe JT one is that it requires the buildings from the route. it will be released but at current I'm coping with a loss in the family so I'm not doing any work for now.
@@SteamingThroughYorkshire Thank you for the reply, all the best.
Where are the concrete sleepers made please
Hello, just wonder what updates so far on none you building
hi - it is currently undergoing a full redo.
Thank you Will for 45 minutes of pure enjoyment. I will say the same as you - it is one of the most detailed and authentic signalbox simulations available in its Advanced version. It uses virtually all the bell codes in the book, and captures the functions of the real Exeter West signalbox like: Permissive working [2-4-2], Wrong direction working [2-3-3, (2-1-3), 5-2], Blocking back (both inside [2-4] and outside [3-3 & 3-3-4 Train at a stand]), Call-on arms, Shunting into forward section [3-3-2 with 8 to withdraw it], Train drawn back clear of section [3-2-3], Banker in rear [2-2], Train approaching [1-2-1] to name a few. You can select a timetable and a start time then start it running and have hours of fun with it! 😁 The more you 'play' the simulation, the more knowledge you will gain and very soon you will be pulling levers and ringing bells better with fewer errors and less delay to trains. If you have little knowledge of signalling or are a complete novice, start off with the basic version to learn the basics of what to do, to learn which levers to pull to set up a route, and learn the bell codes and how to operate the bells and instruments correctly. You can also use function keys F3 to F8 to operate the bells if you prefer to use those instead of the mouse. When you can recall the bell codes and the routes without having to keep searching for them you can then move on to the Advanced version with its full functionality of the simulation and the Permissive working. (When you can grab the duster and pull levers 34, 33, 32, 38, 43, 52, 53, 54, 72, 73, 71, 49, 18 & 15 without thinking about it, you are ready for the advanced version! 11 sets of points, 2 discs and a backing arm to send a loco from Down Main to the Turntable Road. That's 14 levers to pull quickly, one of the longest routes to set up.) You will also learn about train regulation and when to accept or refuse trains offered to you. For example, if you have an express passenger train departing from the Down Main Platform and a Southern passenger train arriving in the Down Middle Platform, check the arrival will arrive in the platform before the express departs. Middle will offer the train say 5 minutes before it is due to arrive in the platform at 11:29. If the express departs at 11:27 refuse the train so you can let the express depart on time. It will happily wait at Middle until you can accept it, although Middle will offer it again after a minute or two until you can accept it. If not the express will be trapped in the platform. This is because the arrival needs 114 trap point and 115 lock set to accept the train, which cannot then be released until the train has arrived in the platform. 114 locks 103 normal so the route cannot be set for the express to depart. After the express has cleared 103 points, reset them normal, set 114 and 115 and accept the train without delay and it should arrive in the platform ok. When you set a route, make sure that you don't need that route before the train has arrived. For example, you set the route for a train on the Up Main into the station, say 26, 14, 2, 3, 4, 1, and then find that you have an engine from the Shed waiting for the route to the Down Main to become available. You should have let the engine out first causing a long delay to it - and, not only that, the signalled train also stops at St Thomas station as well! Like Will says, there are a few gremlins in the simulation that affect the wrong direction on the Goods Lines and the 3-2-3 Train drawn back clear of section as mentioned. I do know that 3-2-3 now works correctly, and I think the goods lines can now use the wrong direction working as well. There are a few gremlins that will also cause the simulation to shut down which will mean having to launch it again to continue or start a new session. This often happens if you cause a delay resulting in a build up of trains and everything grinds to a halt or a train stops and won't move anywhere. This might happen if you have a busy period of shunting and you get things in a muddle and a train stops and won't budge anywhere because it is in the wrong place. Before shunting save your current position, so if you get in a muddle, quit and reload the saved position so you can try again. If you have always wanted to be a signalman, this simulation will allow you to enjoy working Exeter West signalbox until you can visit the Crewe Heritage Centre and experience the real thing, pulling the levers and ringing the bells and walking the box from end to end with a duster in your hand. If you enjoy it, become a member of the Group and help demonstrate working the box to the public and teaching the public all about signalling in the golden age of steam. It is also a good aid to teach the next generation all about the steam age signalling and how different things are today with modern signalling controlled from Signalling Centres instead of individual signalboxes.
