So I see floating homes in other countries and instantly think to myself, "Wow, These Europeans created affordable and sustainable housing that might be able to solve a housing crisis in my country, keep up with climate change and always be up to code in regards to being above sea level, what a good idea, no wonder the Post did an article." Then the next storm hits like it always does, and this all looks like an unrealistic pipe dream again, because I doubt anyone can engineer a floating structure and moorings that can be withstand: sustained winds >140mph, with a storm tide that may be as much as 15ft, all on top of sea state 5 conditions (which toss 150-200 ton vessels around the harbor like plastic toys).

It would be useful to see boats actually coming into dock and securing to the pontoon - using this system.
