Of all the hull colors, I like White the best...I wonder if you could order a WindRider with a White Hull & Blue ,Red or Yellow Amas... That would look cool!!

There's nothing like a corsair on a long spinnaker run. I am so ready for the ice to go out and get back on the lake.

Really need the mast rotation limiter installed.

Love some of your adaptations- esp. that big sail with grownup sail slugs in the mast groove. I use a mast rotation limiter but admit I tend to stay put in the cockpit rather than adjust it ! Also I am usually a few weeks into sailing before I remember about the Mast Pin. All it does is bring the ball off with the Mast ! Great sailing vid. Thanks

I like the Wind Rider 17! Steer it with your feet; Hands are free to tend to the jib & mainsail lines; Everyone on board stays dry & very comfortable,;Tthe boat moves along very well!

I own all three - WR17, Weta and Tandem Island (and an Adventure Island) boats are very different and each excels in its own way. Weta is far and away the fastest. WR is far and away the most comfortable for long voyages. The Hobie AI and TI are far and away the most versatile.

Finally a true square top mainsail .also used slugs in the luff to make it easier to raise the mainsail.i may need to shorten the main at the clew to raise it a little higher so that it is just above my head, maybe even go boomless.Also going to modify the rudder making a new one out of foam and fiberglass with a better naca profile.modify the spinnaker more like what the catamarans are doing with a bag mounted along the bowsprit.

this was the end of the camera phone samsung s8 ,not waterproof.the guy at the verizon store remembered us from where we had gotten a replacement phone from a few months earlier..

What is the red line used for? Is it for a screacher?

Very light air day .I don't use the pin at all on my boat .when raising the mast but it is there just in case the mast slips off the ball when I use my mast raising rig there is always pressure pushing forward and the mast will not come off the ball. we were in a hurry(late to a beach party) to sail and did not check the rigging for it being tight . but usally tighter than what is seen in the video. I think it woud take a lot to get the mast to just pop off the ball.

A lot of current and boat traffic in clearwater pass. I like that swimming pool up in the top of the hotel with the clear side.

The wind started out from the south east in the morning when we got up to three rookers it started to get light and shift more from the east before we got to Anclote it died started filling back in from the north west later we were on the sound side of three rookers went out the pass between honeymoon and three rookers into the gulf of mexico put the spinnaker up and had a good run down the coast(wind built up between 10 and 15) and then through clearwater pass took the spinnaker down when we got to the second bridge by the marina The spinnaker on the windrider 17 is the best thing that I have done to the boat.It jibes around so easy ,with the sock on it is very easy to take down and deploy. I have been wanting to put a bag on the pole so I can launch the spinnaker like the catamarans . One of the benefits would be able to launch it on either side of the boat.If anyone wants to see how to put the spinnaker on their windrider we will make a video of the measurements and what we used.

This was a fun day .Sailed all the way to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. We put the spinnaker up at the causeway and sailed all the way back to the curlew causeway.Also this was the day we took the front windrider seat out and put one of those joe beanbag chairs in its place (so comfortable).

Snowbirds.....this is my old playground! Me,Emil, and lots of beach babes would camp on the little islands for days out in that bay. 1978-1983... Wonderful years and an awesome place to grow up. Dog beach, the causeway....many memories...of coarse Dunedin was unlike the commercial beaches like c!earwater. Lots of things to do.no cell phones! Hammock Park... I dream of those times still.
