Hall of Fame 70th Anniversary
มุมมอง 73หลายเดือนก่อน
70 years ago, La Puente High School named a Senior boy and girl to its newly inaugurated Hall of Fame. Robert Lassalette and Sally Van Praag from the Class of 1954 were picked as its first two recipients because they both exemplified the ideals of honor, service to our school, qualities of leadership, scholarship and dependability. I dedicate this post to all of our Hall of Fame recipients from...

LPHS Coaches Tribute
มุมมอง 39หลายเดือนก่อน
A Tribute to the coaches of La Puente High School. (ranging from 1917-2024) *editors note: this video highlights coaches through the years. LPHS is over 100 years old and we've had hundreds of coaches come through. It would be impossible to include every coach ever. Your favorite coach wasn't forgotten or left out intentionally. If I had every coach imaginable, this video would be over an hour ...

Not all custodians just “clean.” As a custodian at a school , i clean, set up meetings, move furniture during in-depth summer cleaning, Weed whip the whole property, get outdoor trash, and plow the sidewalks. No one ever tells about the “miscellaneous “ duties we perform. I work my tail off
yup
one day i will visit GQ cuts and see how the people will treat me? especially mayor Gabriel Quinones
this gets really great at 1:49 !
Bro look stoned
Question guys! My whole team are girls (5’2/over 45 years old; myself included. ) We all have some sort of physical issue (arthritis mainly). Our maintainance guy will be busy doing his stuff all summer and we don’t have a floor tech. My question is- our manager expects all the floors to be stripped/waxed this summer. We all know this, but the stripping machine is VERY hard for us to use! We have a very difficult time in the slippery stripper floor holding on to a machine that pulls us back and forth. 😢 How can we accomplish this, this summer? (3 female housekeepers and that’s it)
Some of those kids grow up to be adults leaving food at fast food tables. These custodians have their hands full. They’re doing a good job.
How do you apply to be a school custodian? Do you apply directly at the school, or do you have to use a government site and apply online? I used to be a janitor and a boiler operator for the city.

i remember Efren and Gus well.
when i attended, the calming room was the library....and it was a nice library at that...class of 70
the band room has changed since my time...class of 70...my instructor was Eugene Salagi a wonderful teacher and man....
Wow....I have lived my life like a Warrior, I will not quit, until I win the Game.....Thank you Coach Kuneshima,..... thank you for posting this....

I loved the old pictures of Coach Kuneshima. Amazing. I was a student of Coach Gomez, Coach Cassidy, Coach Riebold, of course Coach Grant, and was once a substitute teacher for Coach Magallanes. By the way. Top left of the 1988 and 1989 team pictures is Anthony Calvillo, who became a hall of fame quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League, and currently holds most CFL records for quarterbacks and still holds the professional quarterback record for passing yards of any league. Just below him, my old friend Marco Rios. 4.2 student who got a full academic scholarship to Brown University in the Ivy League.
Waiting 2 c mr kuni coming out wearing his shorts on top of his sweats 😂
Mr Espinoza still there crazy seeing him with grey hair haha
No he left years ago. He came back as an alumni to the team.
1976-1978. Good times.

a Damm shame these lower classmates (after 1976 class) can't and won't pick up after themselves..maybe the district should restrict food deliveries to the school..it takes away revenue from the school for future improvements to the school and for other programs...
So this is literally a regional thing. When I was in school in the 90s. I have 6 kids between 5-19 and there schools are exactly the same. K-12 no kids can leave the lunch area until it’s all cleaned up. It’s a very conservative city/state so RESPECT is something that is a MUST it’s not a option. Literally from 4-100yrs old you are judged based on if you say SIR/MAMN or making a mess. But I have friends that moved from other states to get there kids into a better place. The kids struggled the first few weeks just from the standards are much higher to them. For anyone with respect it’s just the basics. But for them they’ve been allowed to do whatever so they felt like it was “High Standards” which is just sad.
I don't believe it. first the calming room, now the LP closet. their lucky that the school in the city of La puente received to promote new active stuff that the other school can't for example los altos high school. their critics in LPHS is really good and to know how good it is to be in the top of the line especially to promote the LP closet. I hope it will gain alot of success without backrupting or any problems like robbing. Good luck and the school is great like the one I went by my house.
Once a warrior always a warrior… GO LP WARRIORS
I hope I could open my own calming room in the future for tranqulity in my household because it's helpful and recommandation. LPHS is the school in which in the future I like to visit or to know more about it because it's the high school i've should attended not los altos high school.
It's good to show the tribute the list of past principals at la puente high schools and I know one of them and I hope I could work there in the future because the site is open heart in which it's one of the best public high schools in all the city of la puente then in my childhood town hacienda heights ca
at least close your mouth when you’re chewing gum; looks very cheap for a Homecoming Queen and when you’re tugging on your cheap dress because it doesn’t fit you well.
Very well done! Thanks for doing this! Class of 1979.
Great WORK! Thanks so much.. Class of 71 here.
🖤🧡This is awesome! Thank you for all the work you put into keeping the Warrior Pride going. 🧡🖤 C/O 96
Good stuff there! I graduated from LPHS exactly 30 years after these folks did.
Nice!
All I can say to these high school students and or JROTC Cadets is that they are in great hands. The Army instructor you see before you in this video with these young ladies practicing these unarm movements is Master Sargeant Rolland Souza. He was once my former high school JROTC Senior Army Instructor throughout my years in high school while I attend David Starr Jordan High School in the past. These students are in great hands and will learn tremendously from this guy. Not only about the JROTC program itself but what it feels like to create and give these students the feeling and sensation of feeling like you are a part of a family, a home. MSG it was an honor to have been one of your students as well as to have been your S-2 (Battalion Intelligence and Security Officer) for two years. Keep up the great work MSG. "Bulldog Pride".
1) I have no idea that a senior NCO was capable of what just happened lol 2) those cadets need to sound off or find some FM 3) great to see schools expanding options in programs Class of ‘04, “Go Army, beat Navy!”
Class of ‘04 here...1) wtf did I just see a senior NCO do? Lol. 2) those cadets need to sound off with some more FM 3) great to see the school is expanding the option of programs available #hooah
LPHS Class of '89, and I remember this place clearly. We used to buy freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and orange juice for breakfast all the time. At lunch time they served a good turkey salad as well. There was a refrigerated fruit and vegetable vending machine on the side of the building but I don't remember it being very popular. I don't remember a "taco snack" but I remember the deep fried chimichangas there. Good times!
Yeh when they say the "Taco Snack", it was basically the deep fried chimichanga.
look like rapists in my opinion
That was a really neat video. The end when the then and now pics was very nice.
thank you!

A shout out to the class of 1982 from The Gruber!
I found them on line. You could get a box with or without the wraper
Really? Where at?
@@lapuentehighschoolalumni I found them on Amazon. They are whole grain now and you have to buy a case of 60 but it appears to be the same. I used to eat these at my high school in San Diego in the late 80s. Anyway, search "Fernandos Whole Grain Taco Snack" on Amazon.
This reminds me on the conqueror cafe on los Altos high school
At los Altos high school
Taco snack was discontinued in like 2012
