Toyota Prado 120 - Black Duck Valley tracks 2024
มุมมอง 5617 หลายเดือนก่อน
Small compilation from a few nights away at Black Duck Valley Queensland Sorted the broken thermostat and noisy AC bearing since the last trip to Levuka and finally enjoying some dry and grippy technical terrain. The Prado is on ~3" lift and 33" muddies twin locked with high stall converter in the auto with all the extra fruit for touring/medium offroad work.
Prado 120 at Levuka 2024 - First camping trip since rebuild (WET)
มุมมอง 1.2K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
First camping and offroad trip away from home since the new engine and drive line went in. Definitely learnt along the trip to use 2nd a lot more now the Prado is a 5spd vs the old 4spd and pushed it harder than I would have liked (aiming to reduce redline situations) but we managed to get home under our own steam with no breakages. Popped 2 x tyres off the bead after finding our stauno deflato...

Suzuki GV Traction Control Testing - Glasshouse

First time using the GV offroad since lift and tyres. Ended up adjusting the throttle controller to not be so aggressive which made for much smoother runs throughout the rest of the day.

Rear diff stock orijinal super select??
Hey mate, what exhuast have you fitted to that v6?
Custom job mate from headers to end
greetings from Pontassieve province of Florence Italy I have a Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a 1.3 LT petrol m13a engine from the year 2001 all original that I use for off-roading on rural and forest tracks and I see that my Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 and I see that in the countryside on these dirt roads and in the woods on forest roads that the loggers use to transport the wood out of the forest with their forestry tractors, skidders and forwarders and I see that it does very well on these tracks even if it is original with the right mud tires!
I got one of these. Go the prado! Is there are locker on it?
Front and rear ARB air lockers yeah!
@@jumzjumzjumz exhaust sounds nice too
UP THE MUM BUS!!! so great!! ❤
Thanks for sharing!
Hello Friend, thank you for the idea, it is certainly useful for beginners in off-roading, but I have one question for you... Does this version of the Suzuki Grand Vitara only have ESP (Traction Control) or does it also have a differential lock on the axles?
This one had only the traction control. Somewhat decent in the dry but happened to malfunction in wet/mud. I ended up buying a locker for the Suzuki but never ended up putting it in before moving onto a larger vehicle.
Pajero 4x4 is so good it looked like it made it so much easier then prado
Pajero did it slowly n elegantly 👍👍
you mean the driver
Cool video and looks like a weapon. Are you running an exhaust?
Cheers mate! Exhaust is fresh but starting to quiet down as it carbons up - Custom headers machined fit to block with 100 cell cats each side then 2.5" to sports muffler and 3" after that. No drone at highway speed and pretty quiet unless you are really into the throttle, considerable pick up in seat dyno for the 4.0 V6
The 4:3 aspect ratio makes this vid feel old school like a lost and found tape or smth
Hey, I am starting to watch videos on Pinin, thanks for sharing the axle snap, people tend to only share successes. I thought you could enjoy this video on a meeting of the Brazilian Pajero IO, the Pajero TR4. Enjoy! th-cam.com/video/n-rAG-KyC1s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Zsn4nlAoikKMm6l1
The 3 door GV doesn't have Low range like to the 5 door, right?
As far as I am aware in the Australian released Grand Vitara both 3 and 5 door variants have the same 4x4 system including low range
Great trak
What locker does the io have?
RD210 ARB air locker
Whats the tyres measures on pajero 4?

Hi people, I have a 57 plate pajero / shogun (I’m in the uk). I hear a rattle when I accelerate coming from engine. It’s been there for quite some time. I thought it was tappets, it kind of sounds like that but apparently it’s not that. I had an old 04 plate before and the same thing was happening to that and never seemed to cause any issues or get worse. I was hoping some of you guys with more experience may know what it could be??? I don’t think it’s ever going to be a real issue but once you hear it, you can’t unhear it and it’s starting to bug me. Hope someone has some clue!
Top cam tensioner needs tightening I think…
What lockers did you put in I have a 2002 i0 . Did they fit stright in. Did you you do yourself . Tks Andy Australia
Following in case of reply aha the old pajero io forum doesnt seem to be up anymore.
Where is that
mitsubichi montero did not suffer as much as toyota sique diay mitsubichi iso better
You play games?
Yeah Jacob my man Overwatch and a few others! PM me and we can add you on discord
Pajero rear differential lock not activated!!
standard Pajero is without lockers
@@dominique7811 3.5 V6 Premium edition has diff lock at the back. At least the one I'm looking online to buy.
Pajero lose, Prado win Prado very strong
No one lost...... they both made it up the hill not everything Is about winning and losing buddy.
The Pajero did it easier than the prado no question.

my PAJERO channel check.
How do you find the traction control on the pajero? My ns TC works for about 10 seconds then overheats and cuts out , hoping it's just my car not all of them
I have read about that happening quite frequently in the pajero forums.
The traction control overheats? how does that even happen? Mine has never cut out, but i find it quite underwhelming sometimes, since it cuts off engine power, which is really bad for mudding
@@TranqueiraCars The abs unit overheats, I'm guessing the pump or the dot 4 oil maybe. Either way it's rubbish. My dad's l200 spent 3 minutes with constant TC activated trying to get unstuck and it didn't overheat at all. Hell my freelander 2 TC will run all day. God I miss the old gen 3s
@@aaronluke6387 oh, I see I do plan on getting some diff locks but they're nearly impossible to find in Brazil as people don't usually get their Pajeros off road. I'm assuming you're Australian, are diff locks easy to find over there?
That noise at 2:13. I hear it often in my Gen 4 Pajero aswell. What is it? Its kind of annoying.
Thats the handbreak
Its not the handbrake; nothing to be worried about, might be the bushings, or over extension of the lower and upper arm with the springs, could be any of these, don’t worry if you take care of bushings , greasing, and general wear and tear.
Pro driving. Nice.
Too fast riding uphill with the Prado!
It is probably manual not automatic this is why he was fast...
Too good
I was thinking the prado did it well, then the pajero walked it :)
Hi I'm a fan of you from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 😁
That's because the Pajero is the best 4x4 lol.
NL wide body Shorty ,,, like my Fav car
hello pajero io 2000 motor2 when I pull my foot off the gas, there is a sound from behind (lock) why do you think this is
Very nice controlled driving guys cheers
Hi Simmo, Great video! This IO is doing rly well against some heavy trucks :D I bet those tires are 225/75/R16, did you managed to fit them to high pan strut without spacer?
Yes mate they are 225/75/R16 and fit the higher spring pan KYB struts :) (without spacers)
@@jumzjumzjumz So probably it will be like 2-4 mm between spring pan and tire :) I was up to mount simex 225/75/16 but they have got pretty much "meat" on tread so prolly wont fit. What do you think?
@@kubarybczynski5565 I understand all tyres vary slightly but to my knowledge every manufacturer 225/75/r16 will fit the higher KYB struts :)
@@jumzjumzjumz Tomorrow I will have brand new 225/75/16 BFGoodrich MT KM3, hopefully they will fit, thanks for advice Simmo!
@@kubarybczynski5565 that is fantastic news! Good luck with your new tyres 😁
Good to see the apprentice on the job.Wont be long.He will be driving .😆
Hey mate, thinking bout getting one of these Are the accessories hard to get for them? etc front/rear bar, side steps/slidders Also they any good at towing? Cheers nice rig man
They are now! At least for myself here in AUS. My bar is an ECB bar that is no longer being produced, they are rare to find and even rarer to find mounting brackets! Not super great at towing... 1.5T braked but severely under powered with that weight. Great weekend rig for day trips but not a tourer :)
Like your video, Mitsubishi is the legend in 4wd.
Where can I find that bullbar? Cheers!
Pajero io 👍👍👍👌👌👌
Nice 👍, she is a keeper! But stop stealing your old man’s truck, won’t you? Lol
Sadly mine doesn't tow the camper! You'll see more footage from our trip to Landcruiser Park next weekend 😂
this is wicked, cant wait to get the zook out with yous!!
Would love to have you!
Waaaaahhhhh
Hi, I have a H77W 2.0l and was wondering where did you buy your front lockers?
I have an ARB rear air locker - part number RD210 no front locker in the car in this video
Nice vid mate!
Wtf??? He didn't iven started yet and already broke? Shitty Pajero. Better Patrol
Both perfect
Beast! Are they the King Springs lift kit you got there mate?
