I've got 2 1965's myself. One is completely original and has only ever needed painted and the block re-lined. The other is due a full restoration like this. Both have Duncan cabs which luckily still produce some parts for them. Good advice on these is to use New Holland Agriflu coolant and distilled water. Helps massively to reduce the risk of the block going porous
really good job, looks absolutely great. Question though: what paint did you use? it doesn't seem to be the original fordson paint, and since I need to paint my 1958 Dexta.. well, original paint is really expensive
Hi great vid ....the tractors is a credit too you....funny I saw this vid today.... iv just been working on my 3000 model.... same model as yours ...a pre force .....1 of the v first built with slightly different brake shoes .... been here since I was about 5 .... I passed my tractor test on it.... did all our ploughing....baling...mowing and muck spreading for yrs n yrs..... great little work horse....but mines still working yet.... so no make over planned just yet 👍
good year that ,it was the year i was born ,i looked for a 58 dexta when iwas first after one .ive two now one ive been doing up and one strapped to a saw bench ,check them out on my channel ,nice job there you have your work cut out ,ive subd to you .
Men! That craftmanship and video montage and background music... absolute business of intelligence! And the Dexta's.. mechanical masterpieces its own years. We have a one also. Love this tractor, its a pocket hercules.
That model of tractor was what was brought out to replace the super dexta ....they put super dexta on the bonnet to give folk an idea of its size and power .....they only did it for a couple of yrs.... I have 1 just the same... the early ford 4000/5000 had major on them to show they were the replacement for those models too
Hello, nice video of the restration. Can you explain the numbers on the motor block and how i can find out the date of the production of my motor block. Yours sincerely
Yeah pre force.....it has a metal mesh in the nose and the spitfire type vents in the bonnet ....later on the force ones had plastic in the nose....and plain bonnet sides
Finally a proper restauration. So many people just do a repaint and call it restauration, but this one is a real to-new overhaul. Very nice, i'm impressed about the result. One question: where do you got the instrument pannel from? 2:49 I just found the black ones from the 600 series on the internet
We had a Dexta when I was a boy. I enjoyed driving it. It was the fastest tractor we had at the time. I don't know what year it was. It had the exhaust underneath and out the back. I believe it had the headlights mounted on the sides rather that in the grill.
Das ist kein Fiat 415. Es ist 315.
