Thank you for your comments we do appreciate them! For finished knee walls, we recommend dense packing the rafters with Cellulose. The reason why you want to dense pack with Cellulose instead of spray foaming is to move the thermal boundary from the attic floor to the slope of the roof instead. This will create a conditioned space that the attic room occupies. We can dense pack your rafters without the need to remove any existing drywall. ​@@fogartyshomeservicesi think after watching videos im going with insulation rather than spray foam. Im concerned about roof leaks and not being able to tell if we have a problem

Thank you for your comment! The homeowner wanted a private entry to the basement to access as a rental space. The portico design when done this way, creates a sealed extension to the foundation which mitigates any water penetration.

Thank you for your comment. Those are all very good points when talking about spray foam. It can be a great material if used for the right reasons in the right climates. Our cape cod construction solutions are installed with cellulose and EPS foam board. Great job on making sure you air sealed your attic assembly. That is the most important thing to do in any home.

@@fogartyshomeservices every light fixture every marring wall and it is always helpful if you have the lighting pan for your house . My modular home came with all the plans for plumbing , electrical . and duct work . My first 2 homes I remodeled were really hard to figure it all out . Then did maps as i redid them so next home owners would not have that probem . My first house was a speakeasy shotgun ouse and i was lucky that i found all the old gas lights nice and safe in the attic and my local hardware store showed me how to wire them so i could put them back where they belonged . It was a real learning curve but worth it . I was lucky i grew up around this stuff because my dad did alot of work for Kaplan builders in Nj . I am now 70 and still doing this stuff for my home and both my sisters homes.They got new bathrooms and kitchens after i moved to VA in 2004 all done by me and them . They learned what I already knew

@@fogartyshomeservices by the way my second house was a capecod in NJ and what a remodel that was for a poor neglected house . New everything . Bought in from fore closure list and 10 years like first house it was a shining star and loved . My 2 sons grew up with it and learned alot
