Normally i avoid these places but the cars getting painted eventually and it was covered in grime and hasn't been rinsed off in over a year so it desperately needed this. just playing around with my new Pocket 3 camera. trying to learn different techniques and practicing. have to try new things before you can get better.

doing a run in the m3 CSL SMG touring. if you want to hear dull throttle 1-4 gear pulls then skip to 2:20 and 2:50 E46 m3 touring with S54 and Geoff steel CSL airbox with OEM BMW snorkel and functional flap with CSL engine tune and Csl SMG transmission tune using GoPro 11 for video and movie V1 wireless mics. one in Engine bay and one on rear bumper for some exhaust to balance it out.

showing off the Geoff Steel V1 CSL Carbon Airbox with an OE Genuine BMW CSL Snorkel with functioning flap. the DME is a converted MSS54 to MSS54HP DME that I did myself and it has the special H Bridge chip to control the CSL Flap with the CSL Program and Tune file on the DME

Hey man it looks freaking awesome wow I have almost everything to do the swap but its so expensive going through other people.I really hope I can do it myself.I am not made out of money so I am sure I’ll have to measure a hundred times before cutting but wow it’s nice to see someone taking on a project like this in their garage it make me less anxious to do it myself
@@neighborhoodgearhead2958thanks! Best of luck to you and your project. Just be methodical and work through any issues you have slowly. Don't rush. There are lots of resources, pictures, forums and Facebook groups that can be of help. I suggest looking on Facebook enjoying the E46 M3 tourings group. Lots of great knowledgeable people on there for sedan and touring conversions.
so i have nhk projectors installed and i want to code the headlights to halogen but how would i do that because i couldn’t find anything on the forums
mine are also the bi led and i mainly just want to be able to flick the high beam forward and it staying on because at the moments it doesn’t and i have to keep it pushed in
Would love a video for retrofitting the euro LCM for the manual adjustment knob and rear fogs. This video gave me the motivation to finally get around to retrofitting the headlights in my touring!

@@THE46GUY Will apply that color to my Yamaha Scooter, engine build with 72mm crankshaft, 70mm piston, XMAX 300cc injector, 28mm intake valve, 25mm exhaust valve, 40mm downdraft Throttle Body. I swear this scooter will look good with that red color. And stand out 😎

just came across this video series, really great. seeing as you have done this a few times whats a good price point and things to look for in a donor car if someone else wanted to do this?
@@davidrichards5849 I wouldn't spend more than 9-10k on a donar car especially because you will be buying more maintenance parts during the build. Most important things are that transmission is good and engine is good. Stay a was at from rod knock engines unless you have a good machine shop you trust to polish out the crank or buy a good replacement crank and rod for the affected cylinder. Everything else can be fixed or replaced
I almost prefer it unpainted (the bodywork tells a story)

Hey Shawn, just watched the entire series and it was amazing and I'm so jealous! Great job, I still think about your sedan all the time lol. Question, how hard is it to swap from the ribbon door harness to the wire harness? I have a donor 330i that I want to take the wire harness and modules from to install and replace the ribbon harness my ZHP. Also, do I need anything else to make it work or is plug and play? My donor 330i is mirrors are memory and heated just like my ZHP. Thanks!
From a mechanical standpoint, it's not hard to swap the door harnesses. It's plug and Play. You don't have to repin anything or move any wires. Just swapped the door harnesses and then install the mirror modules that go on the doors. For the central gm5 module that controls the mirror functions, you would need to use NCS expert to code the gm5 Central module and to turn off lin bus functions. Or you could swap the gm5 module for one from another four-door sedan car.

A major problem I see with these headlights is the degrading/decay of the wires inside the assembly. I'm sure the year-long FL heat doesn't help. Your video and attention to detail is superb, thanks

E60 shift lever which Is the OEM short shifter for e46 M3 and E39 m5s that have the getrag 260 transmission
