The reason the voice for Arthur was inconsistent, is because it was done by two or three different people. Also, a couple different scenes the actor they used literally phoneed in. That's why both his voice and audio is so bad.

I wish they would have done the scene where they found Snow on the ground, like in the other movies... than the movie would have been more successful than it already is😅🥺

This song, I used for a D&D session, where an NPC named Roseanne that the party got to be with for a single day, passed away. This NPC was loved the moment she came in, treated the party to dinner, and had a terrible past of living in hiding for 30 years. Full context: Roseanne is an Aarakocra, a bird person, who had her wings ripped off in a genocidal act by a charlatan who sold mythical curios, and would fabricate lies, hence why she hid herself in the city. One party member named Lillian, was also an Aarakocra, and the moment she and Roseanne met, they connected, as Lillian got to find out what her parents were like, after years of never knowing what happened to her race. And as the party spent the day with her, they went to her favorite restaurant, her favorite park, and Lillian, knowing Roseanne's past, offered her a flight around town, so Roseanne could remember what it was like to fly. After the flight around town, Roseanne had offered the party to stay at her place, where she served them her special cookies and was finishing a blanket. She was missing some thread and had asked the party to get some of a certain color. The party agreed and went, coming back to find that Roseanne was no longer in the living room. All that remained, was the blanket, complete and in golden stitched lettering on the lower corner was "Lillian" in a cursive font. Lillian, serached the rest of the house, finding Roseanne resting peacefully, with a candle lit next to her, and a letter in her hands, thanking Lillian for making her last day so meaningful, and it brings her joy to know that there's still one more Aarakocra living today. As I played the music and narrated this entire scene, I was already bawling my eyes out because Roseanne was a real person I knew, and wanted to honor since she passed away from brain bleeding. The restaurant she went to was one I worked at for a time, and it always meant a lot when she visited. She was truly a joy in life, and now she can be a joy to my players in the future. Going through this scene time and again, will never be easier, but it's all worth it to honor a friend of my family.

I never had this movie on VHS growing up. But my cousin did. Whenever I would go over to my aunt's house, my cousin would always put this movie on. And it would come on television sometime. And then 15 years ago when the 45th anniversary DVD edition came out, I got that for my birthday. So luckily I've had it on DVD for 15 years. But never on VHS when I was younger

This is one of those films that I surprisingly like more with time. It has a laid-back atmosphere and child-like wonder that feels refreshing. It's not one of Disney's best but it's definitely better than what Disney has been putting out recently.

Merlin is such an icon in this movie. He practically carries the whole film. No complaints from me tho.

There are good things in the film to name some of them off: The music especially the enchanted kitchen jazz piece, The comedy from Archimiedes, Madame Mim, and even Merlin, I think if the story had been reworked it could have turned out better.

2 people played Thackery Binx. Jason marsdon (aka goofy’s son Max.) played the cat version of Binx. The other actor played the human parts.

I still love some of the songs in this film. I'm not so worried about where animation was reused, because I just have fun with the Arthurian story element. The books were more interesting, of course. Having grown-up with relatives who owned most (if not all) of the old white clamshell-case Disney VHS tapes, back in the 80s, I got to watch A LOT of great films that are, quite likely, unavailable now -- "locked in the Disney vault," or "memory-holed." I don't have Disney+ and the CAD to USD exchange-rate puts me off subscribing, but there are some very-memorable films from the old days, including "Follow Me, Boys!" (co-starring a young Kurt Russell), the original "Pete's Dragon," "Treasure Island," "Bedknobs and Broomsticks," the "Witch Mountain" films, and "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang." That was a time when Disney would even tack its name onto English-dubbed foreign films, like "Almost Angels," an Austrian-made film, featuring the Wiener Sängerknaben. There were so many films, too, that got rebooted decades later, like "The Absent-Minded Professor," "The Shaggy Dog," and so-forth. I do miss the old Disney live-action stuff...

Back then, rotoscoping cut down on production costs so that's why they reused/redrew scenes from prior films.

To me anyway , Merlin is awesome the sugar thing funny cool, got a great story just its not as indepth as others to me most of many of them are overrated and overdone IMO. You got a boy that is treated like crap and hated, slaving around for those fools, then Merlin comes and tries to teach him, make him learn give good lessons and to be a real man when he grows older that way he be wiser smarter better than others. Then finally after all that mistreatment and resentment he becomes king. The Sugar, Merlin, Arcomedies or so spelled Arthur, gosh such great everything. But to each own.
