Great video I'm just getting ready to separate the frame on my Ford 555 just wondering how much work it is actually two separate the two sides? How much time do you think it took you to separate the two sides? I might backhoe the torque converter pump seal is leaking.

Do you know when this tractor was made most of them are the same way where you have to split the tractor in half to get to the torque converter seal?

When working on those tractors and you have to replace the transmission converter seal do you have to split the whole chassis to get that out?

Should I rent it a bulldozer for a week jump on cut? The trees down pull the stumps out would have been all done in a week.

Thank you so much for making these videos, I have a ford 555b with the same issues and am currently tearing it down. How did you get the top plate off of the transmission, there is a rod coming form the forward and reverse that is running through part of that top plate and I cannot get it off.

You are saying that parts are available through the FORD DEALER, I'm having trouble finding a dealer that is familiar with these older tractors. Do you have a dealer that I can contact that is familiar and has parts available.? What model tractor is yours; A--B--C OR D ..??

The 555D we had it had a poor design and broke a 500.00 part from New Holland twice in 2 months.....got rid of it

Had one of these with these broken fingers on a 450.00 part from New Holland right near the t.c. it was a poor design

Thank you for your documentary on the work. I set up an equipment repair playlist to put your videos on this one. I'm searching info on flushing the transmission cooler and possibly torque converter on the 555b that I'm using. Even though it has a closed cab somehow it has gone water in the transmission fluid over the last year. The shift boots are still good also. Hopefully you have these in the playlist I don't have to go back to Google to find the other two videos.

Hello, I know your videos are around 4 years old now. I still watch them. I have a Ford 555 Tractor Backhoe. I'm not sure what year it is. It has some leaks going on. My machine starts everytime and runs well. I want to do some work on it, but afraid to for the fact that I'm not mechanically inclined. Since it runs I just maintain as best as I can. I think eventually I would need to do some of the cleaning on it like your video is showing.

Everything still good after surgery years later ? Any other surgery performed after the first one ? I am having pain in my left testical and will be seeing a doctor soon whenever I can get insurance

Buddy I’ve got a 550 Ford an a 555-B Ford an tha 550 when I bought it it wouldn’t move out of its tracks so I new a machanic that has worked on every kind of Ford made an I ask him what might be tha problem an he told me in between tha fuel tank an dash it’s really hard to get to but the is a shift pin for tha shuttle shift an it’s not very big at all it’s a little round pin that if u don’t let tha rpms fall all tha way down when shifting from forward to reverse or changing from gear to gear that it would break that shift pin an he said I’d check that fist thing cause ppl don’t let tha rpms fall all tha way down before shifting an he said I may haft to take tha tank loose to tha fuel there’s alittle block in between tha fuel tank an tha dash that’s really hard to get to if you don’t listen tha tank it’s about impossible to get to well I got my tools an found tha block an got to it an sure enough that pin was broke an it wouldn’t move so tha guy that owned it said he had to run to town an I’d already picked tha shift pin up for like a dallor an something an bye tha time he came back I had tha new one in an was backing up to put tha backhoe attachment back on he had taken off an he pulled up an said how in tha world did u get that thing to move an I handed him that plastic back from Ford dealership an he said what is this I said shift pin an he said no way. I bought tha backhoe an been useing it now for 30 years an never had a problem out of it sense so u may want to check tha shift pin to c if that’s ure problem !!! Hope this helps an takes care of it. It saved me a ton of time an money an breaking tha machine apart.

Did you change this stabilizer because of the death wobble? Since when you posted this video 6 months ago how is the stabilizer holding up

Just fixed a small leak in my house only to find out my main water line is leaking under my drive way or cement slab porch.I just spent ALL of my savings paying a Veterinarian to fix a broken femur on one of my animals. I'm 37 years old and only 3 years from having my house paid off, so I'm not financialy irresponsible, but at this point the only chance I have of replacing my water line is this method. I live in an area where the ground freezes a few feet deep so... I have access to a power washer, basic hand tools etc. Any advice would be appreciated.?

Do not understand everyone who has such a problem to take out the generator, I removed the bracket 3 screws then you get it out so easily

The noise of tires is more the issue of volume and the sound pitch. If the pitch is droning to get into your ear drums and aching. I've had AT's make just the wrong pitch and hold it at the wrong cruise speed and ears are hurting at a point.
