Indian Chief - Ends Cuoio Tomahawk Saddlebags
Here I unbox my set of rev tomahawk saddlebags for my 2023 Indian Chief Dark Horse.
I had been debating on what set of bags to get for my bike for weeks to at least get some storage on the bike. I had come across Ends multiple times but thought nahhh that's to expensive.
BOY was I wrong!!!! The quality is most certainly top notch and I am very surprised and pleased with them! @endscuoio1828 thank you very much for making an awesome product and I look forward to getting a lot of use out of them.

Going over my first M1 Garand purchased from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Very excited to finally own one of these legendary rifles. In this video I go into brief details about the rifle and my experience buying it. This is my first video in a long time and I know I made the mistake of not looking at the camera enough :(

You hit the jackpot for a shooter Buddy. I have 4 of the Service Grade rifles, all WWll builds with 2 rearsenaled in the '50's. Great shooters but one has well worn wood, another has some frosting above the wood line and so on, just what you would expect from a war horse. Yours is great, none have matching serial numbers even when new, all Garands were designed to allow any parts to be used in any gun from any manufacturer and even when being built if Winchester was getting short on trigger groups IHC might send them some, SA might send barrels to H&R and so on. You have a great rifle and with the new barrel it should be a great shooter.

Special Rack rifles are sporadically available at the CMP stores. For an outstanding shooter, they are the best value. I love mine.

Today, 1 March my son fired the expert grade M1. As he was zeroing it, the windage was 0, the elevation needed three additional clicks up. Then, three shots; two in the 10 ring one in the nine. I joined the Army in 1956 so I trained with the Garand and it was my weapon in Korea.

I bought a Service grade. Got it last week. I received a Springfield 3,754,000ish serial number. New stock and barrel. My receiver is in great shape. Man, I felt like a new private again, just this time I was a private in 1943.

For 35 years I had every opportunity to pick up a Service grade, but never did even though in 1995 they were only $250. What stopped me was the marksmanship activity requirement, which ironically I have covered three different ways now. As of the end of 2021 your choices are new stock Expert grade SA or IHC for $1000 (now $1150 as of early 2022) or just recently in late 2022 a few beat up Rack grades. I think the days of decent Service grades ended right around the beginning of the pandemic in early to mid 2020, right when I could have snagged one. They recently put up some WRA Experts for $1350, but unless they get more the only way to get a Service grade with the history you’re talking about is to get one on the private market. As long as it shoots well and has an original receiver and other parts I can live with the new stock. Mine was made in Jan 1944, right in time for the D-Day invasion, and the receiver and other parts are in great shape. Thanks for sharing. Except for some slight pitting and what looks like a minor overall reduction in metal condition, you have the same rifle I bought last year for $1000.

That will make a fine shooter, and in my opinion still a decent collector, put some boiled linseed oil or tung oil on that stock cause it looks pretty dry, might take three or four coats it will bring out the colors in that stock it’s gonna make a pretty stock.

Oh yeah great to shoot! Looks very nice. I can't get over the prices for sight unseen but i bought all my garands at the Aniston store picking each. Now i have garands I don't want to wear out. Seems like shooters are more fun. I lucked into alot of great finds and miss those days.

Picked up my special rack grade 2 months ago in the North store. I couldn’t be happier with it. It has a WW2 receiver and very little pitting. The new stock was very dry, but 3 coats of boiled linseed oil and it looks great. I shot it last weekend and got it sighted in at 100 yards. This is a great piece of history and fun to shoot.

Love all things M1 Garand. I received a special grade from CMP and it also had a new CMP stock. I didn't really like the "dry" look of the stock so I put just 2 coats of boiled linseed oil over it and it looks much nicer. The wood looks much "richer" in color.

When you store them open the trigger guard as that is the pressure point that for a tight and will make your M1 shoot tighter groups you do not want that part of the stock to have a gap . My dad did basic with the M1 as he and I still enjoy shooting them

I have a Danish rack return. Looks like the stock was used as a boat oar. I bought the same stock on your gun, very happy with it. Keep working with the oil. It will really soak it in. My barrel is an original 1943, pretty worn. I can get about 4+-MOA at 100 with it. That’s about as good as my mid 50’s eyes will allow, so I’m rolling with it. CMP rocks!

Nice rifle especially with the new barrel and stock. In a shooter not a collector. But I got very lucky. I purchased two M1 rifles in the early eighties a private sale near Fort Benning were I was stationed. I served thirty years in the United States Army almost twenty in the Ranger Regiment I retired in 2010. The M1s are Springfields and original barrels they are basically new. I don't think they ever left the States. They are not imports. I purchased quite a few milsurp rifles cheap and in great condition long story but they were giving them away back then. I found out at the range the treasure I had a couple of the old timers looked at them and told me I had brand new M1 rifles. Also not to fire them anymore I was offered a lot of money for them but I won't sell. I also have a M1A, KAR98K Mauser a M1902,and a M1903A3. I reload for seven calibers five rifle and two pistol calibers and been saving ammo for years. When I saw things going south I had two big buys. Rifle ammo shotgun Ammo. I have plenty. Also a group of us share and have plns. I live in New York State so I don't have AR platforms because of the way they have to be configured or registered. I switched to Ruger Mini thirty and Mini 14 They along with the M1A all have DNA from the M1 rifle. Enjoy your rifle

It’s really pretty easy. Join a club if your not already in one and get paperwork notarized. They ship to your door. So instead of a trip to an ffl and transfer fee you just make one trip to notary and the money you save on ffl transfer you spend joining a club. I bought mine pre rona and turnaround time from paperwork to having it hand was 10 days.

    • @TexasSnek

$25 dollars to the Garand Collector's Assn. and the price of a notary and that's IT if you have a concealed handgun license.
