The use of oracles to investigate the future has been a part of the human culture for centuries and no matter how modern the world gets there is still a part of the psyche that looks to the mystery of the oracles to find explanations. This channel will look at oracles and try to understand the mysteries and wonder behind them.

#Only10IndieDecks This is a video response to Meg and Thea and their great idea to do the Only 10 Decks but with independently produced decks. Beyond that the only other rule was that the decks have to be currently in print. This one simple rule eliminated a lot of my indie deck collection but it was a fair rule so that when we all explore these VR's we can also be enabled to actually go and bu...

Tarot of Reflections Walkthrough

Tarot of Reflections is a Lo Scarabeo deck released in 2005. This is my walkthrough of this classic deck in my tarot practice. A deck based on the Waite-Smith tradition, the Tarot of Reflection does go its own way. There is a funky vibe and some great images. This was a great deck for me and I started to really learn to read with it.

The Tarot of Oneness by Robin Voicey is a recent Kickstarter fulfillment. This deck is an amazing deck that engages the reader with the first-person view of the scene. Two years on and this list still holds up... great decks!
I love how you randomized your cards and the interview spread. Thank you for sharing.
I am so glad I bumped into this video. I hope you are doing well. I miss you and your videos. ❤
I really enjoyed this. So interesting how people start. I think I got my deck in 1989 around then (maybe there was a big push for tarot then with printing?) as it was just after I left school. Interesting that the deck you showed was printed then. I never bothered with it, cause I think I pulled the death card 😂😂😂😂 and probably threw it out. Do you also remember back then there was huge decision that people said you should be gifted a tarot and never buy. you must have a big collection. 8:40 who do you watch? I don’t watch any of those tarot tubers. I have but I just float around. I think j often check on wickedmoon light. I’ve only been doing tarot since about covid. I see the tower card sometimes as anger, someone about to lose their shit. As I’m only new to tarot compared to many. I’ve floated around and I realise how I like fantastic guidebooks and also the size. I realise I only like small decks. So interesting when you talked about pip deck. I never knew what this was until I started watching TH-cam videos. My first deck like this was antique anatomy and it helped me learn tarot and read - not thinking how accurate tarot can be ❤ You are really interesting about tarot ❤❤ do you still meet ‘tarot’ people ? Interesting you spoke about having a bad feeling about tarot. I did not like occult tarot. I was looking for a black and white deck. I got this second hand and didn’t like the approach about the devil etc.
I've started learning tarot over the past few months and also was attracted to the "puzzle" of it so i'm really excited to find your channel!
Just discovered you channel, great picks 💙🙏🏻
So exciting to see you are Decan walking. I’m just uploading my Aries season walk. Lovely to catch up again ❤
Yes, the solving of puzzles is a huge part of my practice. I think playing a challenge, like this, along with a group is a great way to get to know a more complex deck. I did a 78 day challenge with Revelation, one card a day...and it really works. Good luck, see ya round the interwebz.😊
I enjoyed seeing your selection. Thank you. I also have the Sovereign oracle and I’ve used the cards as a spread position for journaling where we can get interesting combinations.
Thank you Allan!! This was fun. I’m just starting to really study lenormand lately so I’m glad you included one in your top10. I’m thinking about getting the lilac dondorf
Ahhh I’m so excited for your how you read video !!! Sorry for commenting so much lol I have to as I go sometimes or I forget
Confronting is a great word for Somnia ! I don’t have this one yet, I think it makes me nervous 🥴 lol LOVE this HP deck, I got it not that long ago and it’s underrated! Like I never see it around
I *LOVE* the Sovereign Oracle. It’s in my top two, if not my top indy oracle deck. I’ve even used it for full spreads when I’m not getting anywhere with tarot, tho mostly I use it as a clarifier or as a one card pull alone or in combo with my other top oracles. Sometimes it’s just the main word that speaks to me, sometimes one of the sentences, sometimes the whole card. And it’s so much oracle for so little $$. ❤ Green Glyphs is my fave indy Lenormand, too! 😊
It is hard to believe that i backed the Sovereign Oracle five years ago on Indiegogo.
Lifelines tarot as tattoo YES ! What’s your dogs name ??
That’s my Sophie!
@@oracularmechanics I might have asked that before. Love this name! 🕊
Hahaha Allan!! I’m so sorry!! I wanna see your favorite oop deck favs too sometime!
Well you kind of already seen one. When I went to put the links to the decks, the Green Glyphs Lenormand is currently sold out!
@@oracularmechanics oh no!!! Haha I’m sure he will reprint it tho
So glad you are continuing this it’s so interesting..
Thanks for the encouragement. I have another two in the works for sure!
Thank you. I learned a lot from your presentation. I hope you do find time for more explanations like this one!
Impressive! I hope you make videos about this although the new year. I am excited for you!
I hope so too! This is just a long process that I want to get it going and see what happens. I can't imagine that I would not do at least some type of updates.
@@oracularmechanics That would be better then great! Thanks in advance for sharing!
@@oracularmechanics I was thinking about buying that book 36 secrets. Its on my Amazon wishlist. I am going to patiently wait for your videos haha
Super interesting.. Looking forward to this series….
Thanks for the comment. It inspired me to go ahead and up date with the second part of the exercise and also I have probably two more videos coming in the series because of some stuff that has come up.
Ooo I missed this this is fabulous 🥰❤️
Also not sure how I was unsubbed? 😮
Thanks for watching! I have your #alwaysgrabs tag in my head too!
@@oracularmechanics yes xx
I’m so late buttttttt “You bought it!” So glad you received the schitty tarot. The creators said they may make a guidebook to have the episode reference guide to it. All for it. I really didn’t like the show at first - it took me a while to warm up to it. 💚
I absolutely backed it in Kickstarter. I just had to wait to get my copy because it came when I was out of town for a month for work.
I love these 78 tarots but I never back anything: I am afraid of Kickstarter 🫣 So I bought the Vox arcana to get a feel for how a deck like that would read and feel.
I do like the Vox Arcana too. It is Lo Scarabeo so I naturally love the size and feel of the deck.
Totally agree about the Fenestra!! I’m so stoked about Tarot of a Moon Garden coming out borderless, and if they did the same with Fenestra, I would buy it in a heartbeat. The same cards that bug you in the Fenestra bug me too 😂
There are a lot of classic decks that would benefit from getting a borderless treatment.
Great picks. I don’t have any 78 decks but I’m hoping they bring some back out because of their new status. Paulina Cassidy decks are always on my list but I sleep on them. Take for granted and think they’ll always be around Always love seeing and hearing about your decks Allan!
The 78 Tarot publishing house looks to be busy with publishing 3-4 decks a year. I kind of have the same feeling about Paulina Fae's decks because I keep putting off getting the others because I just go to grab the original. LOL They would be underdogs in my collection if I got them.
That cat deck 😮 I was trying to chose my favourite card but I couldn’t. Which is good because that keeps me focussed. The others are absolutely feel good decks.
The Crystal Ball oracle has been a hoot to pull for fun to make some quick predictions. But yes they were all pretty much feel good decks.
@@oracularmechanicsI would love to ad that one to what I have. Simple decks always work for me. Make a beautiful weekend!
Oooh this deck club is a neat idea! I didn’t even know they did this. If Llewellyn did this, I’d be extremely tempted 💸
Right?! I would not have hesitated if it was just a tarot deck subscription. Since it looks like it is going to be predominately oracle decks I am just going to commit to one year and then see what I think.
Jamie Sawyer is such a talented artist and deck creator! Loved seeing this reading, and congrats on finishing your 5 Days, 5 VRs! I enjoyed them all 💜
Thanks for watching. Doing all five days was tougher than I thought but also kept me very focus. So glad you enjoyed them.
Your choice for the matcha latte is on point. Loved seeing your other selections too!
I love that it isn't title a tarot just "The Ellis Deck" because it stands in the system but just a little different too.
In Europe outside the UK we cannot participate in all those sales. We have to buy retail all the time.
That too bad. They offer some great deal from time to time. I have snatched up a couple of great decks for some good prices.
Great video!! I liked your quick interpretations and thoughts on each card! Great side by side comparison! This deck is high on my wish list! I'm new to your channel and already saved a bunch of videos to watch later because I enjoy your vibe! 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! I saw a previous edition and wanted it for so long. I love both decks and still use them routinely. The creator is great and I am on the verge of adding the Monsoon Tarot to my collection.
This was great! Thanks Allan. I love when you do readings. Is there a spread you use often that can become a tag??
You have me thinking about this....maybe.
Allan I’m so glad you’re doing this tag!! I was hoping you would. Def would love to see more spread tags in general for sure.
Yay! 🎉 I love that you are joining in these VR’s! 💫💗
Me too!! I have been putting them off too long! They are so much fun.

I think this is the fourth VR I've watched over the past couple of days that has featured the Housewives! It's definitely been making the rounds in this tag. I love the variety you have here. Such a great VR! 💜
Glad you enjoy it! You created a great tag! Thanks for watching!
This was SO interesting! That first deck is MASSIVE! I can be a size queen but damn. Lol! I also have the Morgan Greer but I never pick it up. It’s super easy to pick up but I’m not sure why I’m not drawn to it. The 5c tarot! Nice to see that deck on your channel. I agree with you - having the keywords on it was interesting and I thought it would be cool to work with BUT once I got a new animal deck after it, I forgot all about it. Thanks for sharing, Allan! I may need to try this out.
The deck is huge but the biggest struggle is to find something to latch on to for meanings. I think it has officially turned me off of collage decks for good. You should give it a try, but it was a lot of work.
I’m sorry but what is a deck and walk? Love the Unfolding Path deck, I’m using it vicariously through TH-cam 🤣🤣 Great video, thanks!❤
A "Decan Walk" is where you follow the path of the astrological decans though the entire year. The twos through the tens of each of the minor suits are connected each with a ten-day period of the year. Susan T. Chang in her book "36 Secrets" writes about how for a year she studied each card during the appropriate ten-day stretch. There have been others that have done this since. I have the book and have started to read it but when March comes around I am thinking about dedicating myself to a similar exercise. The decans follow the astrological year which beings with the Aries and not the calendar year. Hmmmm... seems like this might be a good topic for a video.
Wow, I had no idea! It’d be a great video actually. 🥰
I loved watching this one! Thinking g about my own un-used it’s quite hard to explain the “why not”… You tarot of Reflections video is on my to-do list for the weekend! ❤
Great video Allan! I have a few of those decks and haven’t used them either lol like the first and the third to last
Many times I think that a deck will be good and fun to use and then it just gets passed over. I still hold on to everything that is interested and classic so my collection just keeps growing!
@@oracularmechanics same !! I just keep what I like and think is interesting
I’m enjoying your vr’s, great choices so far! Looking forward to the rest… ❤
Awesome! Thank you! These have been fun to shoot! I guess I always like talking about my decks.
Wow! Great video. I’m starting my journey and this was a great example of reading with myself. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! It is a fun journey!
Omg, I would love if you did 5 Days, 5 VRs, Allan! Awww thank you so so much for the shoutout--you're too kind 🥰 "When I post, I post": me, too. And in my experience, people are really understanding about that 💗
Thanks for the encouragement and I have a 5 Days, 5 VR's running this week!
YES! Sharing the same passion for a deck is so nice haha :) Tarot ASMR is lovely
It really is!
YASS! Authentic! I like authentic... and you? Mr Aunthetic much?!!! ❤️ "Tarot tube 'makes the world seem less lonely.'" 🩷💚🧡 and "whatever your Fandom Dorkness is" LOVE THIS! 🙋♀️ new sub here! (BTW, what are Mr.B videos?)
The videos I was referring to was Mr. Beast. He has one of the biggest TH-cam channels out there. He does crazy stuff like contests and give aways.
This was SO fun to watch and hear your answers! You are so giddy and your passion for decks shows! You’re so sweet, thank you for your kind words. I would LOVE to see you put your decks back in order. It helps me with Roman numerals 🤫 I absolutely agree with you- more deck creators/publishing companies should have a more TH-cam presence, and I would LOVE to see more behind-the-scenes of decks. I already love Llewelyn decks, but it would be amazing if they did more of some BTS stuff. I enjoy this tag and I’m looking forward to trying it out soon. Thanks for sharing 💚
Can’t wait to watch your response. This was fun to just sit back and talk about tarot.
Great decks, unique collection. Happy New Year! =)
Thank you. Happy New Year to you too.
I’m waiting for my little wizards mini and listening to your reactions and insights was so fun.
I almost backed the mini’s but i just loved my big size too much.
Found your channel via this hastag. Loved your selections. Never thought as the next world tarot as golden dawn influenced until you pointed it out. It is a indie turned mass market deck🤎
The Golden Dawn has influenced so many decks. I love the system but love even better how others have come behind and adapted it and made it express how they see the Tarot.
cool selection!
Thanks! This was an amazing tag!
Hey!! You are back! I didn’t know the Heavenly Bloom tarot deck. Its on my wish list now. And so good to see the Cirque du Tarot
The Heavenly Bloom is so pretty! I am happy to be back. Just needed a bit of a break.
Hi Allan! Good to see you. You did fall down the Tik Tok rabbit hole lol. Good to see the Cirque du Tarot on this list. The color palette did it for me too! It’s beautiful. Dawn Michelle’s walkthrough definitely inspired me to get it earlier this year. 💚
It was your reaction to the deck that put the idea firmly in my head. I had passed on the Cirque du Tarot but once it went on sale I had to get it. It is just so soothing to use.
