Ethiopian Economy Flight Review (We Get Opinionated)
We do something that we haven't done in awhile. We fly in economy class. The goal of this trip was to fly all of the long flights in business class & we ALMOST did it. This is the exception. We fly 6 1/2 hours in Ethiopian Economy from Cape Town, South Africa to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In classic Trisha & Gabriel fashion, we review it, we get opinionated & we get spicy. There is even a plot twist at the end.
We will review our time based on the following:

🙋♀️🙋🏾♂️OUR STORY
Hello Hello! We are Trisha & Gabriel, from different sides of the world but, brought together by nursing school. After a few years & many long nights of travel nursing, we packed everything up into two (three lol) suitcases to JUST travel. We are currently on a trip flying Around the World in 100 days....or more...probably more. Follow along as we simply live our lives across the globe.

We Were Tourists in Cape Town: Trip Around the World County #9
มุมมอง 2.5K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
We did things a little differently in Cape Town. We were the classic tourists, rented a car, went to the popular sites & we really enjoyed it. This is largely thanks to a friend that we met during our first day in Cape Town. A photo & a short conversation later, we had planned the rest of the week in this new city together. Exploring with somebody new brought a whole different perspective to So...

Come along with us as we review our favorite airline. You guessed it, Qatar Airways!! We started this particular trip in Cairo, Egypt flying just over 2 hours to land in Doha International Airport. Here we spent the night in the Al Safwa First Class Lounge which, heads up, is a city of its own. The next day we boarded our longer flight that would eventually bring us to South Africa. All I have ...

From quad biking, to a spa I was not originally comfortable with, to our very first cookin...

In this video we get to do a bit of a comparison. We started off this Around the World trip flying Turkish Airlines Business Class from the USA to Turkey. Now we are flying this airline again except, leaving Turkey to explore the continent of Africa. We have noticed airlines tend to fly older planes to the African Continent so, this gets interesting. That being said, we get to enjoy all of the ...

lol the chicken is too chewy for her, maybe it might be your never had real organic chicken meat. go back to your country and gobble your McDonalds. And to the arrogant negro saying it’s 2024, what’s your country airlines ranked at?😂
The choice of green for Ethiopian Airlines' interior color scheme is rooted in several factors: 1. **Brand Identity**: Ethiopian Airlines' official colors are red, yellow, and green, which are also the colors of the Ethiopian flag. This reflects national pride and identity. Green, in particular, is often associated with hope, growth, and a connection to Ethiopia's lush landscapes. 2. **Environmental Commitment**: Ethiopian Airlines has been proactive in environmental initiatives. They launched a campaign called "Fly Greener," which includes activities like tree planting across Ethiopia. The use of green might symbolize this commitment to environmental sustainability. 3. **Cultural Significance**: Green has cultural significance in Ethiopia, often representing fertility, growth, and nature, which aligns with the country's agricultural heritage and its efforts in reforestation. 4. **Aesthetic and Comfort**: Green is known to have calming effects, which can contribute to passenger comfort, making the interior of the aircraft more relaxing. This choice of color can enhance the overall travel experience by providing a soothing environment. These reasons collectively suggest why Ethiopian Airlines might choose green for their cabin interiors. It's a blend of brand representation, cultural symbolism, environmental messaging, and practical design considerations.
I like you guys, new subscriber
Awesome! We’re so glad you enjoyed it!

I remember seeing a film with the pilot dying, and his passenger, without any pilot training, became talked down safe!!!
Good thing they didn’t need me!

BoKap is colorful because when the slaves gained their freedom , to symbolize this they painted their houses as a sing of the liberation of slavery.

That’s actually an Russian plane they had done for Aeroflot they’re not in Turkish colours or promoted on the website with that configuration. When the war broke out the contracts were cancelled and Turkish apparently picked them up for a bargain but kept the interiors
Did not know that. Thanks for sharing. I hadn’t seen that config before so I assumed it was a new plane. Thanks for sharing

you've gotten altitude sick Addis Ababa is the forth highest city in the world and tourists get altitude sick Its average altitude is 2,400 meter above sea level so its not easy for foreigners
I knew it was higher but I didn’t expect those symptoms. Thanks for sharing. I hope other people see it and are better prepared! I’m not sure how you can get prepared though?
you dont need to bring it here things you cold solve by discussing with the manager of the Hotel
Well we did and nothing came of it. They were like: ‘we know it’s old’. lol.
How about brits going to america doing no research and prounouncing all the name wrong how would they feel
I’m not sure but maybe you already pronounce it wrong. We’d be happy to have you visit!

Do you have a story to share?
Entitled and insufferable
Thanks! We hope you can someday join us on such an awesome flight experience!
You got that the wrong way round soccer NO FOOTBALL. So i will do the same to you Rounder's no BASEBALL ..rugby no FOOTBALL. rugby is played with an oval ball and is passed by hand not feet. Rounder's are usually played with a bat and you run round 4 posts mainly a game for woman.
Thanks for sharing but tbh haven’t seen a game of rounders yet!
That hand Gesture. With two fingers Forward. Does not mean Peace ,or Victory it means Fuck off in Britain. Going Back to Agincort when English Long Bow Men if Caught by the French had Two Fingers cut off .So when the English and French faced each other the English Bow Men put two fingers up and shouted insults .
Thanks for sharing the history behind the sign. Now we know better!
I thought everyone knew that that is a complete myth.....debunked long ago.
New York is the most over hyped city I have ever had the misfortune to visit. It got better once out of Manhattan where there are normal people
“Normal people” lol
Speak British, what is that? Britain is 3 countries and the UK is 4 countries.
It is often referred to as British English as compared to American English. That is what I mean, just said poorly 🙃
Thames is pronounced Tems
Yes yes! I have realized that now after spending time there & corrected myself. 😅 Thank you
London in 3 days is impossible, in 1 day is laughable, in a week with zero depth is just possible, in a lifetime is doable.
Good thing we plan to go back 😉
Enjoyed your video as per usual. I love all the scenery that you share. Enjoy your travels and stay safe. 🙏🏽❤🙏🏽
Thank you so much! This is so kind. 😊
You guys meals always look so delicious. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. Watch...Like...Subscribe guys!
We like to consider ourselves foodies so I do a lot of research to find the best food spots 😊
0:57 The two fingured gesture is, err, a bit rude. Just so long as you're using it in a post-modern ironic way and amongst friends, all should be well. Probably. 🙂
Yes, I don't think people realise that sticking two fingers up with the back of the hand facing forward is akin to showing the middle finger here in the UK!
Wow, I just googled this. I had no idea as it definitely does not mean anything from where we are from. I think you need to consider intention as well. Thanks for letting us know. 😊
@@nurseonthemoney8184well no....maybe don't make gestures you don't uñderstand the meanings of?in some places in Europe you could get into a lot of trouble making what to you, are innocent gestures, but are plain obscene to the natives.
Yes we are grateful that people took time out of their day to point it out to us. Without you guys we’d never have known! I hope other folks see this and learn too!❤️
Hope you get to cover more of London's 680 square miles next time! As a 13 year Londoner I like Hampstead Heath and village. Just outside central London but home to the rich and famous. Camden that's nearby is quirky. St Johns Wood for Abbey Road Studios. Greenwich to see where time started and the international time line. Shoreditch and Brick Lane for hip culture and lots of curry houses and finally the City of London (also known as the square mile) governed by a different mayor and police force to the other 679 square miles of London. This was the heart of financial power for centuries of the UK. Go and have a tea or coffee at dick and waffle on the 40th floor for great views of the city if you are ok with heights!! Btw London is drier than New York, Paris or Rome! The North West UK gets many times more rain. Oh and please don't do the v sign with your palm facing you, like you did in the taxi as that's the equivalent of giving someone the finger or bird in the US. Sorry lastly hope you figured out it's not worth changing hotels in central London as public transport is frequent (tubes run every 1-3 minutes) and can get you to anywhere in central London.
Thanks for the great tips! You really know your way around the city. I’m sure we could spend many months here & still discover new things.
I don't think you mentioned where you stayed? Both places looked interesting - would you recommend? One note - it is hard to hear the female (sorry I don't think you introduced yourself) and the music in the background could be cut out. I'm going to check out your previous videos, and I'd like to see more of your travels, so I will subscribe.
The Great Scotland Yard Hotel & the Conrad St James! They were both great and awesome locations. We are Trisha and Gabriel 😊 Thanks for subscribing
Big Ben is the Bell in the Elizabeth Tower (formerly St. Stephens Tower). Most visitors think that the Tower is Big Ben. Few people have seen Big Ben apart from the caretaker and maintenance crews.
Oh interesting! I wonder why that isn’t advertised better. I would have never known.
Elizabeth Tower was formerly Clock Tower. St. Stephens Tower has not changed it's name. It is positioned in the middle of the West front. Between Westminster Hall and Old Palace Yard. It contains the public entrance to the Houses of Parliament. Called St. Stephen's Entrance.
LIVERPOOL ❤❤ Both of you are cute But its still Football 😅
Definitely football 😂
???? I'm so confused, I'm from Melbourne, AUS. London is regarded as a Top 5 city, by most standards. I worked/lived in the US for over 5 years - NYC, Atlanta and LA. (Also, Singapore, Berlin, Paris, Madrid and Shangai) Visited many more.. London is LONDON.. what are you on about??!! People dream of going. I am so confused!!! London and Bristol, in the UK were a league above any city I lived/visited in the US.. I gather this is the 1st stop in your world tour?? Ps. Not being mean spirited.. but I left my hometown to see the world, the UK and specifically London, was on my MUST DO! I just found it strange that you thought it was an unpopular opinion?? So strange.
This is an interesting perspective. Thanks for sharing. My point in this video is that that there is loads of hype around traveling to London because it is LONDON but that the hype is justified. With major travel destinations like this I feel there is always the question “is it worth the hype?” & I was pleasantly surprised that it definitely is. Hope this explains my perspective better.
The Turkish Airlines lounge is quite nice. The food is great, and there is an upstairs area that you can relax in away from the crowd. Chase Sapphire lounge is also quite nice. Thanks for review!
We didn’t know about the upstairs area. Thanks for letting us know! We’d be sure to check it out next time
