I want to start off by saying I completely respect your opinions lol. You can also take my opinions with a grain of salt bc I’m not educated in the film industry, I’m just a fan lol. For me, I’m so excited for this movie. And not just as a huge fan of Mark (I’m obviously super proud of him), but I genuinely think this will be one of the better video game movies made. I get where y’all are coming from with the trailer not having a lot. I honestly do think that maybe he should’ve at least called it a teaser as I think this fits that more. But I get why he did it this way. 1. He said he doesn’t like trailers that expose too much. He has trailers for his other film projects which are good so I know he can do that. 2. I believe this was made before or during the filming of the movie so it makes sense why we don’t have a lot. 3. With the story of the game, maybe he wants to play it safe and not expose too much, especially of the submarine where most of the movie will likely take place in. 4. Since it’s based on a game that got a bit popular, I could see why he probably didn’t show much since a lot of people know the gist of it or if you look up the game you’ll get the main plot. About the voice speaking in the trailer. That is Mick Lauer. He’s actually a voice actor and an incredible actor. He has been in multiple of Mark’s past films in recent years and he is so good! I actually thought he did great here. And what he’s saying is from a note you find in the sub. The note basically tells you that you’ll most likely die in this sub bc they don’t really care to get you back. The video game is simple in mechanics. The entire game is set in a submarine in the blood ocean. But what it makes up for is atmosphere. I’m more desensitized to it now since I watched way too many play throughs of the game, but at first, it was so creepy. It’s dark and you can’t see the outside, you can only take pictures of whatever is in front of the sub, along with getting hit or hearing strange noises. The game still has a lot of lore that will probably be explored in the movie. Mark is working directly with the creator so it’s a good sign that it’ll stay pretty faithful to the game and its story/atmosphere. Right now the the filming and editing is done so we’ll most likely see more updates coming soon. I listen to his podcast where he has brought up some updates here and there and it sounds pretty cool. He had to do stunts (which he hurt himself while doing lol). He said he might have the record for most blood in a horror movie. (He also had to go to the hospital after filming at one point so you know he’s working hard lol) I genuinely think this is going to be really good. I’ve seen his other YT projects and they’re amazing. He’s starring, directing, writing, and editing this movie, I trust that this will be good. I get that the trailer didn’t give us much, but I’m still excited either way. Sorry that this was long, but I can’t wait for this to come out. Again, I’m not expert in anything, just wanted to say my opinions as a fan of his lol.

Of course, you guys have the right to your own option, but I thought this was an amazing trailer and the blue-background guy in particular was overly critical and negative for very little. I was genuinely enthralled by the visuals, the voice acting was really good too(I do not know who it is). Even if I don't hear what is being said during my first watch, more of a background to the visuals, it adds so much to the atmosphere. And the transition from looking at stars to realizing that it's actually blood was great. The shot of his blood-coated back and the lighting striking across the alien sky is such a striking visual! It got me really curious about the movie, something I was not before I watched this trailer. To me, it was great being able to watch a trailer without having even a quarter of the movie spoiled to me. It keeps me interested and curious. It also allows us to choose how much we want to know, allowing the audience to dig for information if they want. After all, this is based on a relatively popular game. And you can pick up on the premise of the movie if you actually want to: The stars at the start = space are likely relevant to the movie in some shape. And with an alien sky = this is probably not on Earth. The guy talking about 'them' never planned to allow him back. This being an execution, the guy wanting his freedom. Conclusion: the guy is there against his will because of some higher-ups. An ocean of blood = something messed up. You can make a summary of that if you are better at words than me lol Also, I liked that you two took the time to learn and talk about what you watched. Would have thought you were a bigger channel just by the quality. Definitely a well-deserved thumbs-up from me👍

It’s a serial killer who kills via a demonic possession, by summoning the demon to possess one member of the family and massacre everyone before killing themselves. It’s more of a horror movie than a thriller. And based on the reviews so far its as good as hereditary etc and will be really dark. Can’t wait

Well, he did say that he doesn't like trailers showing too many scenes from a movie, and perfers building anticipation. He also has said that the filming and editing is now basically complete.
