Hopefully a better quality recording! I'm officially awful at videos!!
Amazing! 😍
looks brand new!
Nice, just got a 2013 and hoping to do some mods, already had the air injection and O2 sensor delete. Looks very nice.
Thanks! Good luck with your mods. Nice bikes 👍🏻
do you know what brand that windscreen is? bike looks clean 👌
Is it carbureted or fuel injected?
Fuel injected 👍
Please where did you buy cover for rear seat
I bought it off eBay. I believe it's from a company in the UK called Powerbronze 👍
@@Stevewoohoo75 thank you so much
Como me gustaría q llegara esta moto a colombia sin dudarlo la compro
What about the riding position? I had had previously the first VFR 800, and later, CBR 1100 XX, but I didn’t like the footrests , very advanced forward
I can't honestly remember but I can't recall it being uncomfortable, just really heavy!
I dont know why Honda stop its production
Me too i hope there is a new shape from this amazing Machine ❤️
Beautiful sport touring bike!!
Man that’s a clean bike
Where did you get your mirrors from? Do they fold down without tools?
They're from eBay, item number 184591788453. They fold down by hand. They're a bit blurry at higher speeds but so are the stock ones 👍
Greetings Great video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸 Would you provide me with the link of the frame plugs you have on your bike? Keep producing more videos
Thanks! I'm in the UK and the seller is on eBay. Not sure if he'll post worldwide but here's the listing number 133799800636 👍
Brand spanking new! One of the best looking bikes ever.
I have 07 and love it. It's setup really good and pretty irreplaceable
Anche io ne possiedo una uguale e ancora mi piace tantissimo. Saluti da Bubi di Adria
Nice bike enjoy! Looks great!
To bad you have to have a billboard for a license plate that thing is huge
That's actually a smaller version of the one we're meant to have! Agree with you though, it's far too big 👍
@@Stevewoohoo75 yea I had to razz you about something on such a beautiful bike. We are lucky here in the states to have much smaller plates and that’s getting to be about the only thing better here anymore
@@2shoestoo lol thanks. You've got wide open vistas and varied weather. We've got awful weather and limited space. 😎
do you have one with no baffle mate i am looking into one its hard to find a clip with high exhaust no baffle but i do have normal akra is it same ..!
Mine had the baffle in too. Looked too risky to remove as I didn't want to damage the expensive exhaust lol.
I completely twisted my baffle in my high mount now it’s like a star, gonna have to get a new can. 26k miles with it on probably welded itself.
@@bryonyclark9677 No way thats going to be expensive replacement. I was using the stainless steel akra loved the base and beat on it. May be you can write to Akra directly they might replace it if it was not ur fault. 😊
Hi, that's a lovely XSR. Is the baffle removable from that Akra exhaust?
Thanks. Simple answer is yes but not very easily. I didn't bother as didn't want to damage the exhaust and it sounded loud enough (for me) when riding 👍
I got one just last week. Never thought I would, but the one I got is a heavily modified rat / survival / bobber thing that I just fell in love with. Its all mat-black with the back end chopped of, single seat and riser flat bars with forward controls. I cannot believe it, but I had a mint Fazer 600 and I sold that to help pay for the VX800 and thats a whole 30 years old pile of crud. Not only that, but in the 4 years that I had the Fazer, I have utterly fallen in love with it, and realised that there is possibly no better bike on the planet, but my back and legs are simply not able to ride any bike any more... I have a few others. But the VX80 with the alterations, make it rideable and so yeah... plus, its got straight thru pipes and so it sounds immense! For a 30 year old its only done 20k Miles and so it should be a half decent ride, but it was dumped in a shed and it had half rotted and so thats why it was chopped... its also got a ridiculously spongy front end so it needs new springs and oil and seals at least!. I got to be honest, but I kind of like it. Yours however is mint... It sounds super sweet and nice and quiet and I had that on the fazer, so I do miss that. I might try sourcing a pair of niuce silencers for mine... as much as I love the thudding its doing, I do kind of want it a tad quieter if only for the neighbours.
This was my dad's bike but was sold quite a while ago. Your bike sounds cool but it sounds like you need a bit of modding to make it your own! Good luck with the project!
nice man!! what did you do with the back end of the bonnie? did you remove entirely the rear fender? walk me through if you can :D
Thanks. Took the rear fender off, bought a tail tidy and indicators from Motone and they slotted in nicely. Really easy job, came with detailed instructions. 👍
@@Stevewoohoo75 oh thats nice! thanks for the info !!

Great colour! Thinking of repainting my black 675 to this!
It's a great colour, haven't seen many other bikes with the same blue on the roads. Good luck!
@@Stevewoohoo75 yeah it’s unique. I only had two choices: black and white when I got mine. And I chose black well mainly due to MI 2 & tom cruise and it’s stealthy and not much of an attention grabber. ;)
@@mihirgpt 👍 black / white bikes are so difficult to keep clean lol. You'll definitely stand out with Caribbean blue!
Can't find a decent 1 of these for sale anywhere 😕
Good luck with your search, 🤞 you find one soon.
Nice bike!
Truly, one of the most beautiful bikes ever made. Do you (did you) own this? If so, how do you like it? I'll be looking for one at the end of this summer (in the US).
Hi John. I did own the bike. The bike was nice, it was quick and I actually liked the dct. It's a really heavy bike though and I found that it was quite vibey higher up the rev range. I believe they made improvements to the bike later on. Good luck with your search!
One of the finest motorcycles, in the best colours, this is the era of the realistic super bike, today they are too small
Agree 100% gutted that I sold it quite a while back. The lure of a new bike is hard to resist lol!
Best looking era of sport bikes seems to be between 2003 and 2010 generally speaking.
Beautiful! Did you paint the chrome headlight or is this an aftermarket one?
Thanks. I had the headlight powder coated. It was a bit of a nightmare to put back together as it had slightly changed shape but eventually got it sorted!
wonderful sound, but aesthetically it is debatable. Do you think it would be possible to move the exhaust to the bottom by cutting the pipe? Thanks
I don't see why not! There's a lot of alternative exhausts which are placed further down. They're a lot cheaper too! 👍
Lovely looking bike!!
If you squint it looks a bit like a KTM 690 😉
OMG I WANT THAT BIKE 😎😉 ;)
What bolts would you use to swap out the handlebars?
My local Triumph dealer fitted the bars Josh so I’m not sure!
I had a new 1990 blue one back in the day. Sold it. Sad day. Good news, just bought a 1993 blue one and it’s on the way from Wisconsin!
Awesome! Enjoy your 'new' bike!
Hey, what's your plate holder please? I can't find one compatible with the akra high position exhaust like yours. Thanks!
It's the Evotech tail tidy. You need to cut the metal spacers down for it all to fit. Google search 'Evotech tail tidy Akrapovic XSR700'
@@Stevewoohoo75 Thanks for your help!!
@@simonlapeyre9040 no worries!
Have you the kat installed on your bike?
The cat is still installed on the bike.
@@Stevewoohoo75 Also very good sound this akra.

Woah cool bike
Hi m8 a lot cleaner there m8 my wife owns this bike now its got 14000.miles now m8
Currently the New owner of this Bike, it has 14k miles
What windshield is that?
It's the official Yamaha accessory windshield!
@@Stevewoohoo75 oh nice thanks. And what crash bungs do you use?
GoWILD not sure of the brand as they were already fitted when I bought the bike. Evotech would be my brand of choice though, top quality gear!
Hi, back light from vintech is cool, but please can you tell me how you move forward speedometer and form this seat com from. Rizoma dandelbars it is more comfortable and higher or more down sporty style
Hey! You need to buy a Speedo bracket from Gilles Racing which relocates the speedometer. The Rizoma bars are more aggressive and sportier but I found them far better! Seat was remodelled by a company next to me called Saddlecraft. All mods made a big difference to the bike!
Restored?second odometer circle!!!
Previous owner had the bike in storage for years! Original miles!
8 t.km??????how is this possible?
Where can i find a Seat cowl like this? :)
JoeMontana it was the official ktm seat cowl, really hard to get back in the day so I'd imagine it's even harder now. Sadly I sold the bike a few years ago! 😀
Yes Thats true - thanks for the Reply. I am Maybe going to Buy the SD as a Second bike and Really Think the seat cowl Upgrades the rear of the bike a lot :) Were you happy with the bike?
@@Zidane4ever06 I loved the bike! The only real issues I had were that it was really thirsty on fuel and the plastic tank began to warp due to the ethanol in the petrol.
Stevewoohoo75 yeah Thats a common issue for the ones Til 07 :) maybe i‘ll give it a try as a variety for my current ZX10R - thanks a lot :)
@@Zidane4ever06 no worries! Good luck with your search!
where did you buy the mirrors?
They're Rizoma Spy-r mirrors. I got them from Harley Custom in the UK.
@@Stevewoohoo75 thank you
Hi. Where did you get the tail light..it’s not original is it?
Hi. It's made by Vintech, who make the part for Yamaha. Much smaller profile and brighter too!
Hi, where did you buy the saddle?
Ihdvaed Hi! The saddle was made by a company in the UK called Saddlecraft. They used the stock seat, resculptured it and added a gel pad too.
ok, thank you! ;)
Amazing bike do you know how to take the db killer out
