Bike lane sweeper with hopper
มุมมอง 6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Sweeper picks up debris into a hopper as it move forward. Best for protected bike lanes or for pathways without gutters or open shoulders.
where to get the brush? please we really need it
You can shoot me an email to owner@bikelanesweeper.com and I’ll send you more info
Very effective, but it's just going to blow back onto the lane; that's why I prefer the bagging sweeper.
This is Amazing
You pay taxes for that...
Better instal it in front of your bike, then you drive on a clean road😊
Correct but the design complexity and cost would be much higher.
Yes, we've seen them work. Any updates on prototypes or production models?
We're figuring out our costs and we'll get back to you when we have a sale price, most likely before end of June.
How do I get one ……

@@ecobikelanesweeper1609 thanks
This really should have a quick mechanism to lift and drop the brush to reduce wear when not in use. A servo motor that actuates a cam or lever to adjust rear wheel height would likely be the simplest way to go. Would still only need one switch.
Pretty great. But why do you have to collect what you brush? Most of the hazards I see is gravel, with a bit of car debris and tree branches. Why not just brush it to the shoulder?
Yes. That’s what the model without a hopper does. See bikelanesweeper.com
Why, not powerless, make them like the old-school mowers. Where is the wheels are rotating the brush is rotating.
This would imply the brush rotation speed would be driven by the wheels rotation. This may cause sweeping issues when going very slow to pick up a lot of debris.
I suspect that would draw as much power from the bicycle's battery, and a rider without motor assist would be unable to keep up with the load. Ever seen one of those street sweepers working at night, or at construction sites? They are using a lot more power than your car normally uses to turn that brush.
How can i get this working to clean the bike lanes of Los Angeles County
I'll let you know when it goes for sale. Finalizing/optimizing prototypes.
@@ecobikelanesweeper1609 i sent a message along with your link to the city of Santa Monica today, i could see them being the first to put your machines to work in Los Angeles County. Ill keep you in the loop if thats cool.
sadly the thing that often causes isssues is the small things you cant see. Not leaves or rocks, but tiny little metal slivers and thorns and glass. This is a great invention if more people rode with it, but dont switch it off even when clean - as there could be small metal you just cant see.
Attach a bar magnet, problem solved. Goatheads? Ride Gatorskins, goat heads are powerless against them.
I was thinking of how i could make one of these, maybe using my cargo trailer as a body to build on then i see this! Im in Los Angeles and we need these badly! I currently carry a dustpan and broom for glass but id pull this thing everyday, maybe link it up with a solar panel and solar generator.
What is the advantage over pulling an ordinary lawn sweeper?
Dumping MORE plastic bags into the garbage stream. Great, not very eco at all!
I thought the same thing, far better to empty a hopper into a bigger bag, instead of constantly replacing the bag.
in their blog, they show them using a bin without a plastic bag that they just dump out. no plastic bags needed.
Allez vous investir le marché européen ? Super innovation
pour l'instant c'est le marche americain, mais pourquoi pas!
This is genius
I’m interested in getting one of these. What is the price?
Hi Daniel, price hasn't been finalized yet. If you leave me your email at bikelanesweeper.com i'll keep you updated.
Ignore, looks like you just did! thanks
@@ecobikelanesweeper1609 hey - do you have a price yet or more plans?
@@bermchasin hello. We are finalizing prototypes with different brush types and motors ( to avoid the chain). We’ll then settle on final version and build preproduction units. This should all happen in coming weeks.
I would like one of these for my town
Hi Kyle. Send me your email and I’ll give u updates about availability. See bikelanesweeper.com
