Thank you for this teaching. I am studying "What is the Church"- my self study because I see the "prostutution" of church life. Ephesians is a true picture of what the Church was meant to be. However, I believe you miss an important key of it namely that the "mystery" is in Eph. 2:12-16. That is the Israel believers (after all they were the first "church members") and Gentile believers are now "The Body of Christ" (i e. the Church). Christ broke down in His flesh the "dividing wall... of Law of commandments in ordinances..." and He reconciled "them both" (Jew and Gentile) in "one body to God through the cross..." Further reading vs 18-22 makes it clear The One Body is Jew and Gentile together. THAT IS THE MYSTERY! How the Church has failed in the past 1900 years in reflecting this mystery by turning on the Jews! But I see Christ is bringing Jew and Gentile together again. Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear discern it. the church is not "Church" without that unity. Read Eph. 3 in this regard as well and Romans 11 (the olive tree). In the beginning the Church was made up of Jews and Gentiles. In this end time they will be again. Christ, the Jew, is sitting at the right hand of God the Father and restoring what Gentiles broke down. He is uniting Jew and Gentile in His Church for the finale! The "churches" who are not aligned with Him in this, will disappear.
