TT is indeed a mental game. World’s top 50 players all have near perfect fundamentals so what makes Chinese players so good is this deep and large knowledge of the tatical aspects
Felix Lebrun?? Did you see how he served? This is how he served. He doesn`t put His thumb here I observed him carefully this time When he serves and throws the ball His thumb just came back. So when Felix serves, his thumbs are not very helpful in producing power. My method is definitely to use two fingers together at the beginning. Felix throws the ball with one finger and then comes back with his thumb. The power will be much weaker. Therefore, his playing system must be backhand-based. Moreover, the touching area for him to hold the racket is small, which is also convenient for backhand. So Felix must be very strong when playing with right-handed players Because his thumb has no helping power, The balls played by Felix are almost side spin balls. The twisted ball also spins sideways The torn ball also rotates sideways So it would be better for him to play right-handed players. But it will be difficult for him to hit left-handed players. Because the backhand ability of the left handed players are relatively strong now. So if Felix's serve hits my backhand position, as a left-handed player, I can immediately hit your forehand position. And his forehand position will have a lot of space Of course, Felix can strengthen drop shot in the future. Don't give your opponent a chance. He started first Then use the backhand that he is good at. In this case, he will improve a little bit when he play with a left-handed player in the future. But the problem with Felix now is that his backhand system is very TOP-level But Felix`s middle position is his weakness Therefore, you must understand and prepare for each person`s characteristics before the competition. To be honest, I didn't watch the match between him and Lin Junju. I really don`t understand that Lin Yunju would lose to Felix 3:0. unbelievable I saw Lin Yunju today before I came back. I asked Lu Yunju that if he has not studied Felix clearly. I think Lin Yunju lose to Felix because he didn`t do enough research on Felix. Wang Chuqin also played with Felix once before. The score last time was similar to this time The key to winning Felix is the first three strokes And attack after Felix`s service Is enough. Don't let Felix use his backhand attack and counter attack So you can't give Felix the chance to attack with his backhand first Let's say a left-handed athlete competes with Felix. I found that Felix rarely jumped over and flip with his backhand. He always stopped the ball like this, then defense. If you serve the ball to Felix's backhand, he will backhand flip the ball and attack your forehand. During the Busan World Championships, Wang Chuqin and Felix were in the second game. Once Wang Chuqin served a short ball to Felix's backhand position, and Felix could immediately flipped the ball then attack Wang`s forehand to score points. After that, Wang Chuqin served a long ball from Felix's backhand position, which was much better Because I feel that although Felix is very strong, his weaknesses are too obvious. I am still a left-handed player, so I think I can beat Felix even now. Of course you won't believe it. I really know Felix`s problems. See some comments saying I can`t win Felix and I am bullshit aha ha ha ha. I was serious. someone asked Alex. Alex is really threatening. But Alex is mentally unstable. Alex can flight really really strong. Alex made too many mistakes when he was mentally unstable. Alex`s everything good. No matter forehand, backhand, attack, stroke, drop shot, flick, very strong. Only Alex`s heart is not strong and unstable. The younger brother is more mature.
Awesome video. I love to be inside the mind of Xu Xin.
XX think felix is a Adam bobrow 🤔😅
Pretty disrespectful comments. He makes it sound like Felix gets lucky due to a few tactical choices. You don't get to no 5 in the world by luck. Of course he has parts he can get better at, anyone has. But he is also so young. Immense talent and vision of the game. Maybe the most talented non-Chinese player in the last years. Feels special, in the same realm as Timo Boll.
Xu xin could be Felix's coach
Never doubth about you my Xuperman, you still can beat any player.
XX should be commentator
It's not a match which he wants he wants to coach felix
Thank you so much for this video and the caption!
XuXin, eres el mejor, estoy seguro que entrenando 3 meses, eres capaz de ganarle a Félix sin mayores problemas. Incluso mañana tal cual dices. Ojalá se lo lleven a jugar la super liga china para que aprenda de los mejores.
I guess Felix needs to learn Chinese, or at least his coach needs to learn Chinese. Or maybe they should each sub to this channel? That would fix everything!!!!
Perfect explanation from a world class Chinese
I only want another penholder to be top of the world. I could care less who it is. Please teach Felix!
Xu Xin - Felix as an exhibition match in Paris a few days before the Olympics table tennis torunament, with $100,000 at stake. Let's do it.
For those who wish to see Lebrun gets coaching from Xu Xin so that he can go to the next level and fix those issues XX is taking about, forget it: the Chinese will never let XX coach a player who could potentially beat the Chinese players. XX will end up a coach with the national team some day.
Need substitles in spanish
Xu Xin would have no chance. Felix kills players that play far from the table, by playing juste after rebound.
Not sure about that. Against Gauzy (who likes to play far from the table) the matches are close
@@jamespatagueule4599 Right, but that is Gauzy’s favourite gameplay, not Félix’s. He’s been in top 10 world with it. Félix stays on the table.
very good insight from the great Xu Xin . He's honest , experienced and trained in every aspect of the game . Viva penholders .
Xu Xin was by far the most unique and entertaining player. I would love to see him still playing.
That was exactly my thoughts. How can Wang brutally destroy Felix Lebrun but Lin Yun Ju lose 3:0
Xu xin is and was way better then Félix. Vive la France, vive la liberté
If Xu Xin says he can beat Felix right now, he can beat Felix right now. Not a doubt in my mind.
No, he”s cocky. He was playing far from the table and Félix’s game exterminates such plays.
@@ronronronronyo8358 idk man, a lot of peoples game should be good against Xu xin, but no one was ever comfortable playing against him
This analysis is good for the top players that are going to face him. And for us mortals this doesn't really tell much.
Of course, left-handed players always have a huge advantage in racket sports. That is because they're used to play righties while righties aren't used to play lefties. It's easy to check. The righty/lefty ratio worldwide is 90/10. In the top 10 of table tennis, there are 30% lefties. In the top 40, there are 28% lefties. That's well above 10%. I think a chi-square could show this is statistically significant.
I'm glad to hear such insightful commentary from Xu Xin. The CNT is generally too secretive in my view, so it's good that someone on the periphery is spilling the beans, so to speak.
This is not a secret. After Xu Xin retired, he often shared these in China, and shared them live when there were games. This video is his reply to netizens' questions in the live broadcast. He opened a table tennis hall in Shanghai and worked as a coach. Anyone can go and have a chance to see him.
Xu Xin, once you stop playing, your skills disappear very quickly. Even I would beat you now. 😈
You are right, Bro. You absolutely can beat him when he is not playing anymore, me too.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@882828jcExactly 😂😂
Im sure felix himself sees Xu Xin as an idol and knows he has not reached his level yet.
Xu Xin should teach Felix what he knows. I would love to see this collaboration, and for another penholder to take the top of the world rankings...
What for? For Felix the cat beat other Chinese player in the future? R U stupid or something?
I'm sure they are not allowed to teach anyone outside China right after they quitted national team.
Felix with Xu Xin teaching all the secrets as coach might actually beat China but that’s not happening😂💀
@@gab5012Xu Xin is the worst top Chinese player of the last 20 years or so and Chinese lefties have always been the weakest link of the Chinese team anyway. Remember how he lost in mixed doubles in the Olympics. His serves and close to the table game was mediocre by Chinese standards even compared to shakehand players let alone penholders. But he always talks with a lot of arrogance despite being second fiddle at best.
@@dickn.ormous1064 this has to be a joke... right? Xu Xin was a top-10 player for more than a decade and was absolutely dominant in doubles. Also, with Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Chuqin you can't really say that Chinese lefties are weak.
I hope the Lebruns are watching this video. And their coach.
This was sooo interesting to hear XuXins reflection. Thanks
he speaks definitely truth, and i do believe he can still challenge anyone except the 4 leading chineses
Where did u watched this?
We miss you xu xin, you were born in the wrong era always in ma Long’s shadow
Agreed and miss him too, but in all eras before that there were other monsters who would've stood in his way. And prolly afterwards as well. No excuses 😛
When Xu Xin will serve legit, he'll can talk. Wang chuqin's serves are not legit too.
I can't believe xi Xin stopped playing 😢
I haven't seen any video with such a good analysis, about techniques, tactics like this video. Very good.
Felix had to have seen it and prob said.. hmm interesting
if you know chinese, you will always exposed to this kind of commentary.
@@ecashmarketing I don't actually. I think that's why I don't see many similar videos.
Stfu xu xin you dont event play anymore + ur not even top 10 in the world so u arent eligible of saying he played bad.
I would pay to see XX vs. Felix.
Only video this channel has is on xu xin. Clearly visible as a strategy to take down felix by letting the analysis out. I feel these tactical advanate may not last long as even players do their post match analysis and work on areas to improve. Get better with game not tactics. @chinese players.
This video is his reply to chinese netizens' questions in the live broadcast. The blogger simply watched Xu Xin's commentary live and posted it on TH-cam
Right now, Félix is better than him for sure 😂
He doesn't lie. They use to study very well their oponents. They didn't like Waldner because he was unpredictable. It's the same for Alexis but they noticed he was mentally unstable.
mentally or just unconstant game... Alexis makes a lot of mistakes but I don't know if it's a mental weakness...
@@votano Yes of course, vocabulary mistake 😉. Alexis is a very kind, balanced and well educated person
Sometimes you make more errors because you have to much possibilities and don’t commit enough to your choice. I feel Waldner had that problem and Moregard has it too. It’s tougher to get a rhythm into the game when youre changing pace all the time.
@@votano In his WTT interview, Alexis said he trains only as long as it's fun. THAT is his the other part of his mental weakness.
@@SL-jo4om it's logical, he doesn't play for suffering but having fun. he is not masochist.
i agree with Xu Xin Analyst. Felix Lebrun strong point in his backhand but his forehand is weak for penholder player. Alexis is strong but he make too many easy mistake. he push himself too much for make great shot. when his mood is not okay because make many mistake, he will have difficulty to overcame his mistake. i agree with Xu Xin, Alexis mental is unstable.
WE NEED XU XIN FELIX MATCH RIGHT NOW
Speaking about Felix prouves that he's a crack!! Allez Felix!!!
6 months intense training with xuxin would be so good for felix.
Last time Felix wins a match?
Absolute rubbish. Nobody can definitely say can win. Not even the curent cnt mainforce.
You should at least try to learn what “can win” means. It’ll make it less frustrating, and you’ll be able to make conversations.
Give me a break , so shallow.
Should learn the easy stuff first before moving on to multi meaning stuff like “shallow”.
Agree with Xu Xin that Felix’s serves are at a disadvantage with his thumb back. Always wondered the same since I saw him in Adam’s video
Xu Xin is right on the analysis. Felix is weak against left handers because left handers have very advantageous backhands because somehow left handers have this talented gift the hide extremely wide crosscourt backhands, this means if a left handers hits a crosscourt backhand to a right hander, it will be the right hander's wide forehand. On paper there is no reason for Lin Yunju to lose 0-3 to Felix. Felix is strong in the backhand but weak on the forehand like Xu Xin said. But Lin Yunju didn't exploit this weakness. He kept playing down the line to Felix's backhand I don't know why and if every backhand encounter Felix is better than Lin Yunju. Wang Chuqin on the other hand kept playing to Felix's middle and forehand. Only occasionally play to Felix's backhand and when he does, he makes sure he wins an outright point or force Felix into a very defensive position.
If u so good, go play against Felix. U go blur. This is after talk. Rubbish.
@@whliew171271 If XX if confident, please make this match happen. Somone send this video to Felix. Tag him, inform him and ask him to come to XX's club to play. I want to see this match and I want to see if this XX being overconfident or XX being honest.

Everyone on planet Earth is weak against Wang Chuqin... He is currently the best player in the world. And apart of it... He is a new face of this sport. Elasticity, speed and spin. Not power and stamina. Some fresh air in table tennis
