Definitely not accidentally. Baldur made the coment that Kratos was a mindless brute and makes it clear that Atraiose is his actual target. In that moment (combined with the fact Atraiose is refusing to run), he realised 1. Baulder is going to stop atacking him and for Atraiose 2. He can't beat him right now, and he can't let Baulder get to Jotenhym So Kratose makes a very intentional stratigic decision with the knowlage that Atraiose is now in danger and there is no way they are getting thru the gate without Baulder he slams Baulder into the gate pushing him away form Atraiose and makeing Baulders goal of reaching Jotenhym imposible.

Baldur from God of War 4 plus the only gate to Jotunheim equals Baldur's Gate.

Atreus annoyed the shit out of me with his god complex in this scene especially the kid honestly thought because he was a god he had his dads strength 😂 then he shoots his dad with a shock arrow for trying to stop him from getting his ass beat by baldur. Young Atreus was a dumbass. Baldur also really doesn’t realize who he’s messing with Kratos killed a entire pantheon because they hurt his feelings and because of how Aries tricked him into killing is family so Baldur really doesn’t understand Kratos has died and come back many times literally changed fate and killed a pantheon that’s far more powerful than the Norse Baldur is dumb as hell 😂
