I would have liked a British accent. One of the reasons I live listening to historical romance is I can’t do an accent in my head. This seems to be AI so couldn’t you have used a British voice though it is one of the best AI voice.

Well read, but an English narrator with a better french accent is needed, one example the pronunciation of Henri. The story lacks further authenticity by totally ignoring geography- where was the English channel crossing by sea? The chunnel was opened in 1994 not in Victorian times.
Hi Wendy. Just to clarify, Elizabeth takes a train to and from the shores of England and France. She crosses the English Channel by boat as briefly mentioned in Chapter 1. "Standing on the deck of the boat, Elizabeth watched as the white cliffs of Dover receded into the distance, along with her old life." Thanks for listening!
