Well said!! God Bless you and America!!
@jeffjoyce269 Right now, we are in no position to be blessed. But I pray one day we will.
While I respectfully disagree on the origins of morality and my desire to live in a Christian nation. The troubling part of our freedom in being completely neutral is that eventually, someone's ideals are going to convince the masses on what is right and what is wrong. Take the abortion votes last night. Some states said yes. Some said no. As time goes on we will see these sides polarize, shift and change along with others, where some peoples opinions will be rejected and shut down. So, while yes, we have our neutral freedoms, it only works out when people remain neutral and in individualistic, when in reality we aren't made to be like this and haven't been since the dawn of civilization. In saying this, I'm not calling for any extreme and radical measures to make my ideals possible but i do pray, peacefully, that my desires for a Christian nation can be a reality.
@@PastorZach99 I mean no disrespect by asking this, but when you say a “Christian nation” what exactly do you want? Also which Christian’s? Furthermore how can one say that fundamentally the USA isn’t already so, in the fact that we’ve had 3 a non affiliated presidents, and 2 Catholics. All the others were various flavors of Protestant Christians. Personally I would like to see representation of more people of different faiths working together to make real change for our country instead of just jockeying for their group over everyone else. Buddhists, Hindus, Zoroastrians, Jews, Muslims, etc are just as moral and ethical as Christian’s (as they all stem from the same roots)
@lynngriffin2106 While Christian morals and principles were used to start this nation, Enlightenment ideas were used as well, which were atheist and / or deist. And that's the problem we found ourselves in pretty early is a principle that wasn't even Christian to begin with. Though I do acknowledge all of the president's have been Christian, many of them (especially in recent times) have been very lukewarm Christians or Christians in name only with some of the policies that have been passed. So, while they claim to have Christ and bless him, their leadership has proven otherwise. I would like to see a system where the church and state work together rather than being completely separate or completely together. This would have to be for my favor (in this scenario), one that follows Classical Protestant teachings. Again, back to my previous examples, having different religions living under the same roof, so to speak, is only a thing that temporarily works, but in the long term, it's not going to work. Some claim Jesus is God, aome claim Jesus was just a Prophet, some claim Jesus was part of a pantheon of gods, some claim Jesus was just a man and did nothing special, some say Jesus didn't even exist at all. Some religions in their holy books literally call for the death of others. Some invoke demons, and evil gods, etc. The beliefs of religions when you look at them more carefully are way too polarized to ever truly be able to live comfortably. We aren't there yet (God forbid we ever will be), but take the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. The war over there that we see no is not shocking. That feud has been around since the religions first found each other. And forcibly make them live next to one another and try to live peacefully, always ends up with them going to war. It would be lovely to have these groups live peacefully, but unfortunately, human civilization has never crafted a utopia like America wants it to be because we are incapable of producing such a place and have never been able to. That is why God came and made a way for us to one day be in a place where there is only one religion and one kingdom where humans can't continue the cycle of evil we have perfected. No idea is a perfect idea, but this is one I desire to have because at least the Christian faith will be the norm, and civilization can focus back on worshipping God instead of constant conflict with other beliefs and philosophies all the time. But I am honest with myself America will probably never be the place I dream of so this is more of a focus on getting people to look back to God and focus on that while remaining active in their communities.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. As a non Christian I respect what you’re actually saying in that America needs to be moral again, but morality isn’t established by the government, morality is established by individuals who choose to do the right thing even when it’s the more difficult thing. Personally I don’t want to live in a Christian nation. I want to live in a country where everyone is free to worship the way they feel called to. The Protestant communities that “formed America” do not represent the values we hold, even within the constitution
Yes indeed we need Jesus Christ

So true Pastor Zach. May the Lord reign on His throne forevermore
Saying someone is mean is not the same as saying someone’s argument is wrong. You’re making a category error.
@spiritualthoughts6054 Again, it was a "This is the experience I had, this is why I'm not interested in joining." I said multiple times throughout the video, it's not mean to be a gotcha or a slam dunk on Orthodoxy to "debunk" them .
@@PastorZach99 your reason has nothing to do with whether or not it is true or false. That’s the wrong way to make a decision. Category error.
@spiritualthoughts6054 Again, I'm speaking on the apologetics tactics done by the apologists nit the Church as a whole.
Zach: you Orthodox sure are contentious people. The orthodox: you just lost your phronema for life!
Calvinist. I guess he ain't preserving. Telling everyone else to stop sinning or they aren't saved. I guess he ain't lol

@@johnsmith_treeler9031 No problem
As Voddie Baucham said: "The wisest man in the Bible fell into sexual sin. The strongest man in the Bible fell into sexual sin. And the Godliness man in the Bible fell to sexual sin. For me to think I'm above falling into this sin is to think that I'm wiser than Solomon, stronger than Samson, and Godlier than King David." Setting up ways to make absolutely certain that these things do not happen is so important. I believe strongly that, even in our personal marriages, having something like Covenant Eyes on your devices is something all men should do, so like you said, having boundaries for protection (having someone with you in this situation might be best) is critical for the sanctity of the marriage covenant, and of the ministry. Many prayers for Lawson, and I thank you Pastor Zach for your honesty and your helpful coverage on this situation.
Soooo how old is the earth
@SatchPersaud-sm1gc I believe in the Old Earth Theory personally, but theologically speaking, I don't believe it is a hill to die on personally. Regardless of whether the Earth is 7,000 years old or 7 Billion years old, all that is important is that we sinned, we can't save ourselves, Christ came for us, died for us and rose again, and ascended into Heaven and one day we, the elect, will be with him in paradise forever and ever amen.
@@SatchPersaud-sm1gc how round is the earth?
Whats there to disagree with? They literally practice what Jesus preaches. Yes, they're strict but considering other religions, I find baptist to be the most accurate.
@JonesyRiley I find some theological arguments they make to not really align with what scripture teaches (though I don't think this means they are outside of God's grace). That and the tendency to align with Anabaptist teachings. After doing some research on confessions and teachings of Anabaptist groups, I find trying to align with them to be really problematic.
@@PastorZach99 I understand ya. That's the reason why I don't agree with religion. The Bible is pretty cut and dry. Faith, salvation and baptism is what Jesus requires from us for us to meet our maker. Church is made up of 4 or more people(I think it starts with 4), it doesn't have to be a big building to be a family in Christ.
Salvation is by grace through faith so I agree with that. However baptism is not required for salvation. It is an act of obedience and it is a physical symbol of a spiritual state, but it is not a requirement of salvation.
I grew up in a Baptist church in Canada. No makeup was allowed. No dancing at weddings. Only singing directly from the hymnals. It was terrible for a young person. I appreciate the Southern Baptists because they inject so much passion into their worship. I'm no longer a member of the Baptist church, but I definitely appreciate the strength in their beliefs and convictions.
@Skarlett.Rose.Ink. I admire their passion in what they do in their service. I'm sorry you went through a tough time while being a Baptist, really stinks to hear about encounters with Pharristical legalism.
But though I have my reservations, I again want to emphasize that I really appreciate their efforts, their love of Christ, and their passion for spreading the Gospel. I acknowledge that not all Baptists are the same, and you can not make one swift judgment to the entire group, that would be foolish.
@@PastorZach99 Absolutely! I only speak to my personal experience, at the specific church that I grew up in. There was a lot of greed and hunger for power and rank in the church, and if you weren't from the right families you were often treated very differently. If their actions had been out of a belief that it was in line with scripture then I would understand their actions, but it was very much for the world, and for fleshly desires. It was very to sad to watch happen to otherwise good people. But we are all only human, and we are all prone to sin, so I love them all despite their actions, the church just wasn't for me, as I knew it wasn't good for my spiritual health. I had a lot of emotional and spiritual struggles as a teen and young adult, and instead of using God's word to help me they tended to berate and belittle based on their own set of church laws, without turning to, or having any basis in Scripture, so I knew I needed to separate myself from that specific church. My experience at that one specific church does not at all reflect on all Baptists, and in my experience the vast majority of Baptists just want to love Jesus and live a Godly life the way that's best for them. No matter what I love them all as we are commanded to do because we are all His children.
@Skarlett.Rose.Ink. If you ever need to talk, I'm always here to listen! Keep your eyes set on Christ, and he will guide you towards the Kingdom!

JOHN 3:16
@@randyjones7632 Amen.

Did God predestine individuals or a group of people who fit a certain criteria? Namely, that they confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart God raised him from the dead. Romans 10:9. Romans 10:11 says, “Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.” God calls out to the world and accepts all who answer. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16. God bless, my friend.
Obviously, all these verses, I'd say yes and amen to my issue I have come to and why I hold to Calvinist views is I have found that ultimately God is the first mover to us becoming followers. As Psalms 14 says "God looked down at all of mankind to find anyone who sought after him and he found no one." (Paraphrased). And with viewing the Bible it seems that God always moved first to turn the wicked man into a righteous man. In making this video and in the views I hold I don't think non-Calvinist aren't Christians. But all in all I have become convicted enough to hold to these views. Thank you for your warm greetings! I hope your ministry is blessed by God and he blesses you and those around you. -Pastor Zach
I would say that the interface between God's actions and our responsibility is simply not described in the bible. Calvinism turns "go make disciple of the nations" or john 3:16 ad absurdum. Armenianism turns salvation into "other people's work" when looking at "make disciples" or "into all the world". For both, calvinism and armenianism you need to make assumptions, hence the conclusions are based on things you don't know.
th-cam.com/video/S4OSc16ckIM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=u6k2S6iLchZmORQJ I think you need to humble yourself bud. Calvinism will get you caught up Matthew 7:21-23 King James Version 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
So God predestined people to believe, by that logic he predestined people to go to hell
He's a calvinist. No need to listen to the lies he spews
Ultimately, why he decrees the way he does is beyond our understanding. We know he predestines before the foundation of the world and we know he also judges us perfectly because of our sins. But the depths of his wisdom are impossible to completely understand (Romans 11:33) I leave room for his mystery to thrive because I know my search for his wisdom will continue for all eternity. Hope you have a good day friend!

You're 110% right. Self-Control is, in my eyes, a direct sign of how much love one has. As someone who's struggled with self-control throughout my life, I've found, in recent times, that the more I grow in love towards God and others, the more self-control I have.
Amen.
Regarding the BCP 1662, i hope you would reconsider your use of it 1. The Puritans, at great personal cost, opposed the Anglican Church as adding traditions to the Worship of God 2. The BCP is a deeply Anglican document 3. It is best to worship in a way most fitting for what we believe, and the BCP was formed by and for Anglicans; we're not Anglicans. 4. 1662 was during the reign of Charles II, perhaps the worst persecutor of Puritans and most treacherous king in the history of England
Amen. I was raised petecostal. I was pressured to speak in tounges, watched peopel put so much emphasis on interpreting dreams, extremly emotional music and revelations through their daily life to see what God was saying to them. I thought that because I didnt have these "Gifts" that i was unworthy of being Christian and turned me away from the faith. Recently I have set out to read the bible cover to cover in 90 days (im at day 39) and have realised that the foundation of our faith is the word. Im so gald to see that its only a minority of christians worldwide that are sucked up in this charmismatic movement as the vast majority of the churches in my region subscribe to this feelings based spirituality and im confident to say over 90% of them probably havent even read the bible cover to cover. I see that your a Church of Christ minister, bit of a coincidence but i attend a Church of Christ aswell! So glad i found your channel!
