​​@MTBFreeksh ey buddy i love what you did with the al comp. I was I a catastrophic car accident In 2018 and I don't drive anymore. I recently purchased the al-comp myself. The bike has definitely made my life easier! I will have to use walking aids, crutches or canes, the rest of my life 😢 What I found is riding the bike has no impact on my knee which has opened the world back up to me. Walking on my cane becomes so so so painful I've gotten stuck places and would have to wait and pray someone would pick me up. Basically the reason I'm writing is I would like to do thte exact same thing. I'm an auto-mechanic or at least I was until my accident. I'm basically begging you for help to get me setup just like your father's al-comp. I'll even work with you and maybe we can do like a collaborative video where you can frame it like your helping a disabled guy get his life back lol!!! Im a very smart guy but I know very little about the bicycle world. With a little help I'm totally confident we can make it work!!! Please respond and let me know what you think. If you can't help me maybe you can point me in the direction of someone who can!!! Sorry for the novel! Thanks MTBFreeks. You're awesome!!!!

I'm assuming that Danny upgraded the wheels on that Alpine Trail 8? I ride the same bike and believe that was the only weak point on the bike. I absolutely LOVE my Marin!!!!

I've only been a Knoxvillian for about 5 years now...and I often wondered what was beyond the end of the James White Parkway. Mystery solved. That said, I've been wanting to get my feet wet in trail-riding/mountain-biking. I don't even have a mountain-bike yet...but as soon as I have the expendable cash to invest in a semi-decent one, I plan on hitting some local trails...obviously the "beginner" ones...then onto the moderate ones. Not sure where the trails/courses(featured in this video) lie on that scale. I'm sure you've had this question asked to you by local noobs...but can you point me to a good resource of info for soon-to-be local noobs such as myself? ...like, which trails to start on? I plan on sticking to the Knoxville area for my trail riding...so even a recommendation on entry-level mountain bikes would be great. My entry-level bike most likely won't exceed $1,500. I know that's not much...but I'd rather learn my mistakes on a bike in that price range, instead of destroying something more expensive right out of the gate. I'm not new to bikes, as I have a lot of experience road biking...but I understand that trail riding is an entirely different animal. Anyway...if there's a one-stop-shop of an information resource for a noob like me, please feel free to give me a link, and/or insight. Thanks. Great video, btw.

I have this same bike, I was going to go gas with it but I wanted all the benefits of the bike and the mid engine was perfect to keep everything for this bike intact. I am going to subscribe to this channel and hopefully see more updates on this bike. This bike out of the box is great and super light already. Is there anyway you can give me a parts list or the full complete setup for it? I do not want to skip out on all the needed parts and it gets really confusing. I really just want to duplicate this video. This video also answered my battery location concerns as well and it seems it fit perfect. How much was the total? Thanks for the great video.
