Hey there everyone, you might remember me from my old channel (crazyrailfan) which I closed down last year in order to get a fresh look. On this channel you will mainly see BNSF action along the former Santa Fe Transcon, and the former Ft. Worth & Denver (BN) in the Texas Panhandle. I will also feature Union Pacific's ex-Rock Island Mainline (also known as the Golden State Route) as it cuts across the northwestern part of the Texas Panhandle. From time to time I will travel to other locations around the USA and film whatever I can find. So I invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy Hi Def Railroad action.
You will also find aviation and even model railroading videos on here as well as these are interests of mine as well.
You can find my photos at either of these two locations:

BNSF Peak Season 2024 in the Texas Panhandle Part 3 (HD)
In the final installment of this Peak Season Series, I ventured out on Sunday December 22nd to see what I could catch.
0:00 - Just before sunrise, an LA bound Z train races through Lee, TX
1:42 - A Chicago bound Z train is seen topping the hill at Cuyler, TX
3:44 - A fast moving Z train races east towards Canyon, TX
5:38 - A westbound Z gets back up to track speed after having to walk across a broken rail in Canyon
7:53 - A friend had messaged me and told me about the Spokane to Alliance Q train having an H1 leader so I made my way up to Reclamation Rd to catch it.
12:14 - An eastbound Z races east past the Parsley Rd Grade crossing
14:08 - The first of 2 "silver" Z trains races east under the FM 1912 overpass in St Francis.
16:02 - A few minutes later the second one passes by
17:49 - A westbound Q train passes Bicentennial Park in Panhandle
20:13 - A San Bernardino bound Z train passes the depot in Panhandle
22:08 - An LA bound Z ducks under the signal bridge for CP 5261
23:34 - The Alliance to San Bernardino Z doubles as a power transfer with 8 locomotives leading as they roll through Washburn.
Thanks for watching

Incredible video I went out there this November and have to say it’s an amazing place!
Good choice for a filming location with the Welcome To Canyon sign in the foreground - and it's a meet.
Good catch of that meet.
Great catch of the rail train.
Lots of good railfanning on the Hereford Sub. I plan to go back at some point. Thanx for the video.

I can still remember the Amtrak train that crashed in Kingman in '97 Terrible thunderstorm that washed out a wooden trussle bridge out by the airport. I was up late listening to the radio (Art Bell) when I heard the train pass, then a few minutes later a big rumbling sound. That's when the announcement came over KAAA that the train had derailed. I can still remember the school busses transporting passengers to the local Jr. High gym for shelter.
Grew up in Kingman. I remember when they had the Blue and Gold ATSF engines. Spent many hours around the tracks. Wasn't much to do in the 70's 😂 I always loved seeing the trains loaded with military hardware. That was a real treat. Ever film near the loop ?
TSR, You are in my top 5 railroad video creators. I appreciate the information on locomotives and trains. Outstanding video work.

Great footage! I saw the CofG on that SBD train waiting to get into Clovis on my roadtrip.
Why is Grain Train(GSWERUC316C) from Sweetgrass, MT-Guernsey, CA routed thru Amarillo, TX? Is there a better route? Enjoyed the video.

@@davidgolson9151 I’m not 100% sure on the reasoning, but I think it has to do with the way they run traffic through Oregon and Washington.

Some of the semaphores north of Wagon Mound, NM are still around! Nice catch!
How much traffic runs down the Red River towards Fort Worth? I'm flying to Dallas on the 20th and road tripping to Tehachapi via Amarillo and the Transcon
The red river valley can be hit or miss you might see 15 to 20 trains in a day or you might see five it’s all based on coal traffic. Only intermodal is “guaranteed” traffic
A beautiful train climbing Raton Pass with its full compliment of cars. Splitting semaphores south of Raton, NM, and climbing toward Gloretta Pass, north of Apache Canyon and Lamy, NM. Ridden this train 3 times betwixt Chicago and Flagstaff, back before they started cutting cars. 😂
Excellent coverage nathan.
Black Gold Texas Tea! 👍🏽
Do they always split the 15k plus trains in Clovis or was there a reason?
Honestly it’s like a lottery, they just pick a place and that’s where they split them. Usually when they do it in Clovis, one or both halves has cars to set out.
great awesome video and catches of these southwest chiefs nice horn salutes too
Another fine production Nathan. Thanks for sharing and maybe I see u sometime up on transcon I’m coming weeks.
If you add a donation button $$ for help with fuel and expenses. I’ll donate! And I’m sure a few others will.
This video is awesome. Thanks for your hard work. I think there is only one area of the video where you HEAR the railroad crossing bells which are very annoying. When I’m out filming in and around Amarillo or any other spot. I try to avoid the railroad crossing signals. If you watch most TH-cam rail fans they film where it’s convenient. Next to the railroad crossing which so annoying with that BELL sound (Which is like trying to get a n scale engine back on track). Grrrr! This film 🎥 is great! Thumbs up times 70.
Granted a lot of people find them annoying but there are times you can’t avoid them. Especially when trains are running 70 mph
