Is the road paved and easy to drive from Tbilisi to Mestia and ushguli?
Hello, back then there were few constuction on our way to ushguli but 4WD certainly can manage. Not all the way from mestia to ushguli are paved or proper but get your 4wd and you will reach to ushguli with amazing feeling and experience
Sorry i missed the tbilisi part. From tbilisi until mestia is smooth easy drive with amazing sceeneries. You will not regret of you love long drive

That is the place where the monks sleeps and do their day to day work. The church is further up as you know it is not allowed to sleep in the church
