From what I read, the Azusa Driver is for guitars with single coil pickups, the Yui Driver is for guitars with humbuckers.

Great demo. The OD-1X is one of my favorite dirt pedals. I think it’s often dismissed because it’s digital. Also, the active tone controls are very powerful. Setting them at 12 o’clock yields a scooped sound. You can get a more classic, mid-forward sound by turning them both down. 9 o’clock on both is a good starting point in my experience.

I just ordered one of these. Although it sounds like a bit of volume drop when the effect is engaged, it does seems like a cool price point to get a vibe sounding pedal.

Hello there, how did you obtain this pedal? I contacted Funk Ojisan and they said they would ship to the US, but it appears that pedal is sold out. Do you know of any other places to get it?

And a vox amp is not going to take a fuzz like a fender or similar

Cool pedal, but holy cow are they expensive. I don't understand why. It's more than an Analog Man, Fulltone (when they were still in production) and Chase Tone. There are so many good Fuzz Face style fuzzes that let you control many aspects of the sound, and for under 200.00. The only thing this pedal has that most don't is the Ge/Si selector. But that's so easy to wire up, it doesn't warrant 150.00 or more on the price tag. There are plenty of Ge transistors around that can be used without warranting that sort of price.

It sounds gritty because your amp is too clean. Try setting it to the point of breakup over 6 of the amp volume (you may need an attenuator) or using an overdrive between the fuzz and the amp.

Excellent demo. I was able to really tell how the pedal behaves. The difference between 9 and 18v is very noticeable, something I wasn’t able to discern very well with Andy’s demo. I just ordered one 😊.
