How to Properly Change a Gas Cylinder for Glovebox

Purging the Glovebox - Manual Control - Training Video

This is part two of my glovebox tips series. Please watch the glovebox as you purge. After about ten minutes, the glovebox times out and shuts off the argon inlet. This will expose your glovebox to air and introduce water and oxygen, if left unattended. Be sure to avoid this by purging for only ten minutes!

hello! do you know why lithium foils are getting dark in glovebox, though oxygen and humidity level are under 0.1 ppm? is nitrogen can be reason, if yes what can be done? thanks for now! (by the way I have tried to vacuum - applying negative pressure- and purge Argon gas to system again and again by pedals, but it did not work)
hi, can be nitrogen. Air wil permiate through the gloves slowly, any O2 gets filtered but the N2 will remain. in this case, flush the box often to reduce the N2 buildup in the box or get a N2 purifier.
lithium forms nitrides in N2 atmosphere. use argon
