My church is using the Chuavet Hurricane Haze 1DX, and we're having a little bit of trouble. The only way of controlling it, that we're aware of, is the profile icon under "Custom." It's labeled Intensity, but it won't respond when assigned to a bump or fader. It will turn on, however, when I manually drag the DMX value from 0 to 255, and it'll stop when I bring it back down to 0. I suppose that we could set it as some sort of preset or effect, but I'm not sure which settings would correspond with which results. It's supposed to work with one channel, so I'm clueless as to what we're doing wrong. We've let it warm up and everything. If you have any suggestions, they would be much appreciated.

I did all this but when the 'flash' fades out it goes to black and then pops back on to what the active cue is while changing colors too. Is there a solution to have it just fade back to the active cue and not fade all the way to black and pop back on?

Great video! An idea…would it be possible to use a custom effect to cycle the hazer and fan on and off over the course of time. Perhaps on for 10 seconds, off for 50 seconds, repeat. Without it changing or being changed by other effects running concurrently? My hazer is too powerful for the room, and even at it’s minimum power, really needs to be babysat throughout the show. Thanks.

Hello team, Would please help me for backtrack on capture to vista ! For example I made a rig on capture and connected to vista ! Now if I select fixtures on vista it’s will reflect on capture , Now if I select on capture make any position on capture it should be reflect and update on vista! Is that possible ! People are using on wysiwyg software there is a backtrack option if I do any position by selection fixtures on wysiwyg it is reflection on grand-ma Would you please help me 🙏

When I select the fixture and hit add new effect, the video effect tab is disabled. Do you know what I could be doing wrong? Or is it possible the matrix by elation doesn’t have this option? I'd like to test my latest lighting plan by the methot that I connect Capture with Vista so that to control the lights, etc. Last time when I connected these two programs using sACN (about a year ago) everything worked fine, but now despite the fact that I did everything the same way, no way I can bring that state back, Capture does not see the sACN broadcast sent from Vista. (I've already turned off the firewall and reinstalled both programs) Has anyone experienced the similar? What could solve the problem?

When going between 2 FX buttons is there a way to get them to slowly fade between fx instead of them just jumping from one to the other over 0 secs?

Thanks for the lesson! My workflow so far is only using AA & ZZ for full and off...but I'll start now working other keyboard shortcuts into my workflow. Question: I really like your numbering organization. If I RENUMBER my groups and fixtures, in a file, will my cuelists that reference those groups and fixtures still reference correctly?

You're a great teacher Robert. My initial "I think I know how he's going to teach this" is to set up a cuelist, put in a intensity cue, then a follow cue to pull back intensity, then another follow cue to release the list. However, with R3, it opens up more possibilities with flash times. Question - I don't use the cuelist option for 'exclude from store'. What exactly is that, and when should you or should you not use it? Thanks for another great video!

That's very hypnotic. But useful. I don't do a lot of wave effects I mostly use swing because I'm trying to syncronize with the beat...but some of these position effects are pretty cool. Thanks!

Very cool! I had done a similar one before, but ended up layering different position and intensity presets into a single FX, with different beats and offsets on the effects. My way is much messier than this. Thanks for the info! Also loved how you show how to create a single cuelist/cue from what's playing in live. One question - on your FAN OUT preset, is that one of your PAN ONLY position presets similar to what you created in your first busking video? (i.e. position without tilt)

I see how you saved the preset for the gobo spin. there are 5 parameters under gobo, what do they all mean and do they have to be used together? If you just want to save the "wheel spin speed", which one or ones do you need?

I'm getting stuck at 11:05 where you start building the triggers. I have followed the process (and retried multiple times) but when I click on the trigger it never actually jumps and plays the desired effect. If I go in to the cue list for that 1 trigger and just hit the play button, it fires and releases itself just the way you show. But i can not get the trigger to fire from the quick picker. Have you run into this?
