Steelers 2021 player review and Off Season questions
Good work team!
The judge belongs in the HOF he was always in position great coverage skills that's got nothing to do w/ stickum.
Brother has me ready to pad up! And I’m a grown man with responsibilities 😂
I agree with most of this, but as a late diagnosed autistic, looking someone in the eye is actually extremely difficult if not painful for some people.
This is so great thank you for sharing. I have a 7 year old in the same situation. He’s scared of contact. Little guy but was a problem in flag football. Scared of tackle. We are working on it daily. This will help him to see that he’s not the only one.
This kid don’t wanna play football sir.
Also he is telling the kid to run faints so he can make defenders miss. Well he needs to break down the motion of jab steps and cuts movement by movement. Start him off with 2 cones and work on the actual mechanics of breaking down left foot chest above the knee right foot chest above the knee body level low and then cut up field. He is just saying run full speed cut left right and go and that's teaching this young man nothing but how to get tackled Everytime he is met by a defender. I love he is working with him but he really isn't teaching him nothing but he wants him to run fast and be better by the second practice and that my guy isn't gonna work out like that
I don't think this guy is a good coach at all.nhe is talking to him like a drill sergeant instead of talking to him like a leader/coach. When your "developing" young kids you have to be patient with them and break it down step by step and each step needs to be done very slowly. Once they grasp each step you start combining step 2 and step 2 together slowly till the reach game speed but in correct form. As they continue to get better you grow your steps into move trees!! You can't pound a kid like that when it's his first year playing tackle foot like this guy said it was for the young man. Coach/ dad needs to slow down a bit and teach him in a comforting way that makes the young man want to continue to learn and get better.

He hitting that man like he his daddy
Keep going bro🙏
Well it’s not being first all the time it’s about u trying to
I love that you're pushing him and I wouldn't ever suggest not pushing him, but back it up with just as much encouragement and instruction. I coach kids and adults and it doesn't matter the age, too much of either and you won't get the most out of them. Great job though!!!💯
Good stuff fam my twins signing up July 3
you out of breathe cause you talking 2 much
dope
Good Dad right there
😭 "promo sm"
The gloves the receivers use now is much more sticky than "stickum". Just doesnt get the unis dirty
His coverage was superb. No "feeling" for your guy. No grabbing shirts. No grabbing at waists. No patty cake. Just shadow coverage mixed with game smarts.
Dan Fouts the worst playoff QB ever
DF great player, but in playoffs turnover machine.
Stick them make him great.
Got to make it fun. That’s way too hard. I played college ball at Auburn so o know what I’m taking about. It’s need to be fun at that age. You to aggressive and military like. Make it fun I have 2 boys playing pee wee when I make it fun and teach them with love they kill it on sat. But that’s your kid man.
As a Charger I hated that Dude. But man he could cover.
HOF
Lester Hayes said without Dan Fouts and company, youll never hear about John Jefferson again when Jefferson was traded to Green Bay, Hayes was right.
LESTER HAYES SHOULD BE IN THE HALL OF FAME PERIOD!!
The amount of Stickum Lester Hayes used was outrageous!
Lester was certainly one of a kind.
Back when players didn’t whine…
And JJ wanted a raise coming off that performance...
To any Hayes Hater who say "What about stickum??" I ask you to post a video of Lester Hayes sticking out his hand and the ball sticking to it for an INT. You know why you can't? Because they don't exist because it never happened. Hayes was an exceptional athlete who had superior playmaking ability to anticipate the QB's throw and step in front of the WR. The HoF doesn't deserve Hayes....or Cliff Branch or Jim Plunkett for that matter.
Lester Stickum Hayes.
Dallas Rossevelt Jefferson Vs Houston Kashmere Lester Hayes
3:32 Hayes is rubbing "Stickum" on his hands which was outlawed by the NFL the next season.
I find it comical that so many speak of Lester and *stickum* but when you look at his coverage skills, he was always in perfect position for the pick. How does stickum help with that? His technique was flawless and he could tackle. Those using stickum as a crutch need to stop. Look how he played his man and the ball and always positioned himself between the WR and the ball. Few DB's in the history of the league had that skill on a consistent basis.
I teach my nephew the same things. I love seeing apologize too
Good job!!!
Your parenting is textbook. Mine is exactly the same. Regardless if that young man becomes a star or not you have given him the opportunity and the tools to thrive in the world. I applaud you sir and I wish your son all the success he deserves.
That’s a mini Tyreek Hill right there
Appreciate the video, I ran into my idol Lester Hayes in the early 90s Modesto, California at the Black Angus when Art Shell was the coach. Bump n run all day !!
I love coaching youth football when I coached it was 5, 6, 7 year old
Go Reaudy ❤
Go head lil man. That's what that off the field work does for you!
That boy fast 🔥
As a life ling football player who grew up without a father wishing I had one, this is not how you do it. Great job trying but your son will end up hating football because of the way you're training him. I'm a head coach who has never lost a game in 3 seasons. My son is the best player in the league. I train with him almost every day. The difference is he thinks we are just outside playing having fun. Your son is hating every second of this. You can play fun games with him he'll enjoy and want to go do with you that will be way more beneficial to your relationship with your son and for his development on the field. Start playing with him and having fun making him better. You look like a great father. Keep it up and make it fun for him!✊🏾
helmet looks a bit big
GREAT JOB COACH!
