Beatles No Reply Ye Olde English Ballad
The Bresh man is alive 😊😊
I have heard about that, basically he just slapped his name on a bunch of cheap generic guitars like the ones that you could buy on eBay for like half of what he charged for them
I love your version of this great John Prine song. Love your yodel.
Wonderful singing and harmonies on this great song.
This is such a beautiful rendition, thank you for all of the videos you have posted!
It is wonderful to receive these compliments. I love playing this, It relaxes me and calms me.
Just a sweet job. Thanks.
Your guitar playing is lovely, thank you. I appreciate this so much. I sang this song as my stepdad was dying from complications of Covid across the country. He was alone in the hospital so I sang my heart out feeling like I was singing both for him and with him. I am so grateful for this acoustic version, thank you, again. Peace...
Thanks for the remarks. I'm so glad that this song provided a little comfort in such a hard time.
Thanks Pop, this is great. I played it for the boys and we all enjoyed it. We miss you, can't wait to visit again.
Bravo!
Thank you, Denise. It is heartening to receive a comment so long after the original posting.
thankyou
Not terribly exciting, Alan. ;)
That’s just beautiful, Doc.
Love the walking bass you throw in throughout, different than others I've heard. You also get a smooth rolling rhythm that hard to get with all the quick shifts and some nice, different tasteful melody licks and syncopation in the bass line inserted here and there. It sounds fun, not like an exercise, which is how ragtime should be. Thanks for the music, and thanks for the inspiration to smooth out mine a bit more.
Thank you, Richard. It's one of my favorites to play.
Nice, Doc. But I’m curious. If you posted this in 2008, why did you put off composing it till 2011? <grin>
I've been playing with the Tardis
Wow! Dandy tune and smooth picking!
Thanks, ePaul.
Wow. Well done!
Two thumbs up Doc!
Hi Alan! Fine picking here!
Thank you I love playing this.
Beautiful!
you guys sound like john hurt or kweskin and the jug band! fabulous!!!!
What a marvelous instrument. Total magic!!!!!
Is that a Froggy Bottom guitar?????
Jon's Guitar is a Froggy Bottom. Mine is a Matt Arcara.
Very nicely done!
Rather have the Martin guitar
Wow, you’ve really got this down - fantastic job on both the guitar part and the singing.
Very nice, but if you’d just shot this with the phone horizontal, we’d be able to see both of your hands!
fantastic!
I constantly thank god for esteban
Beautiful relaxed picking. Great job. Enjoyed it.
enjoyed!
Just had to add; I love this version, and your playing it...
fuciledacaccia thanks. that'll get me playing it again.
Play a Larrivee LSV 11, and love it!!! Great guitar!! Love your version of this tune. Would you share the tab, if you have it???
Beautiful.
Great, Andy Cohen! True to the tradition. I loved it
Love it
That's a great job Andy. The last time I saw you was in Flips living room singing two crazy people in love.
The Esteban dude can actually play but these are the cheapest pieces of kwrap ever labeled as being a guitar. I am disappointed this particular guitar is lacking the custom "bedazzle" inlays (outlays?).
This is good buddy, Andy Cohen. Not me. And I doubt tab could do it justice. Doc
Hi Alan, I hope this doesn't seem strange, but I've been studying this video, trying to nail the ragtime finger technique. I'd love to see a tab/arrangement of the solo you did.
if only esteban was this talented!!!
+hifijohn Thanks so much. Pleas check out the rest of the Esteban World tour, especially Rob Bourassa's contribution. Search Rob Bourassa and the Mighty Esteban. You'll love it.
Great performance! Nice guitarplaying
Awesome. :)
Terrific rendition especially since you included the introduction which most players leave out. Great talent really enjoyed it, one of my favorite tunes. Thank you.
Lots of feeling - phantastic picking
Thanks, Martin, tis fun to play
Beautiful song. Very nicely done! Thanks
Thank you for making me feel better, i love it
im surprised it didn't explode from just being within 2 feet of a martin
Lmao.
Oh, but it did. We just didn't have the camera rolling.
Just getting into finger pickin' so thanks for this...I will learn it if it kills me...
Get the Thom Bresh Merle Travis teaching DVD. He teaches this almost note for note. Thanks for your comments.
