I really love how throughout the film the animation style changes. Even though the style changes it has good flow to it from one to the next, it's not jarring at all.

But it's not just that, as she rolled a very large bag of gold down the hill, there are other sinners who are pushing their large bags of gold uphill on the other side and her bag is crushing others as it rolls down. But when others have pushed their large bag of gold down the hill, since your mother is part of that crowd, she would also get crushed by their large bags of gold. That's what it says in the book. The game doesn't show that, but if you look closely on parts of that level, there are statues representing sinners doing that
In a book, Cerberus is an actual three-headed hellhound. The game developers purposely excluded that version and made Cerberus into a three-headed demon worm instead
There is one thing about this scene i like from the game compared to the film and vice versa In the game when Dante is confronted by his father, Alighiero, his father makes the comment “Do you think you’re a better man than your father?” To which Dante replies, “I fear I’m too much a man like my father!” I wish they had kept that here since it speaks to Dante’s shame and path to redemption that he is willing to admit such a thing But one thing the film did i thought was brilliant coopered to the game was that, in the game after you defeat Alighiero, Dante absolves him and lifts him above whereas here he throws his father into the burning pit of gold he so craved and pledged to kill his own son over, drowning him in his greed
Yea it was kinda dumb that Dante would absolve his piece of shit father who raised him to be a total asshole and caused his mother to hang herself I wish that was how it went down in the game he doesn't deserve to be absolved.
