I miss this bike 😅
@@annasinigur7458 can't ride 3 bikes at the same time
@MrVal916 we gotta get a video of you guys dirt biking 🏍 😍
Love the new breaks. No more noises. So smooth. ❤
Thanks for the vid bro just bought one myself
Beautiful bike..... gah watching your vids is messing with my head on buying one or not.
@tavernwench2383 only if you going to ride it 🙂
What is the socket size for the bearing nut !? Rotors and brake pads you bought from dealer!? Thank you!
@LaurentiuAnghel-y5p yes rotors and pads ordered from Volvo dealership. Socket size is 2inch
Thank you sir ! I’ll have to replace mine as well very soon.
Are those hubs not oil filed rather than grease ? Because when you took the hub cover out the oil drained from it, but than you grease the bearing while installing them back 🤔🤔
@MuhammadTayyab-iv4rd yes I only packed the bearings with some grease basically so they won't run dry in the very beginning. But I put oil in the hub itself
I just wanted to stop by and thank you for posting Buell XB content. There's lot's of these bikes still on the road and it's cool to see that you're out there putting in the effort to share your maintenance and engine swap with us. Keep it up dude! 👊
Hello, "Trucking DIY" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channnel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or email?
Would you need to change the break pads with all the oil on them?

I have a question what happend to your 1999 volvo vnl 770?

Amazing Truck, are you from Moldova? I am from Romania, i noticed a the coat of arms on the door.
Thank you. Yes I was born in Moldova 🇲🇩
@@MrVal916 Eu sint din Romania doar am observat stema.
these volvos with the 60 series engine are the best
What size pipe?
That was a 6inch.
Good bike choice. I like your style. Not keen on the electric wrench though, and the assumption that a 1200 motor is an 'upgrade'. But hey, you probably didn't care which replacement engine you acquired?
The reality is that this bike had originally a xb12 but the previous owner had swapped to a xb9 I don't know the reason behind it. They r both very torquey and fun
@@MrVal916 yeah, I just want one, not really bothered which! Always loved Super motards, and these are an example of Hyper motards with some really novel engineering twists. I know lots of people favour the earlier 'tubers', but all the clever stuff in these later models is super trick. I hate twin disks, what an own goal in engineering terms? Mr Buell developed the more elegant solution by far, BRAVO!
hi there, i would like to know what are the actual size of both axle nut? i do know both are different but i dont find the sizes ? thank you
I believe one is 2 .1/4 and the other 2.7/8
All rightt thank you for the fast reply !!! I appreciate
Don't know if you bought it new or used and and how it was maintained but Sorry for your issues with yours but at least you get something a little different out of it for your hard work. They are great bikes and worth saving. Bought mine brand new it is a 03 XB9R has 80,000 miles on the OD and still runs perfect, as good as new. Nice and tight she purrs like a kitten. I broke it in and did all maintenance religiously. It was my only vehicle for three years and racked up miles at 100 both ways to work in all imagined conditions. freezing weather Snow, rain, scorching heat you name she saw it. Twenty one years later I have four bikes but the Buell is still ridden regularly and probably is my favorite of the many bikes I own and have owned. We have been through a lot together and it always makes me smile
I have kept up on the maintenance. However I've been riding it hard...also lots on wheelies and stuff I think that could of been part of thw reason 🤔
Dude I bought a 1999 vnl same color and I don't have the blind spot mirrors on the hood,I see u installed new style, was it hard?
Not hard. Just make sure you measure because in the corner on the inside there's like an angle part and it's easy mess up.
Hey my friend are you sure that this volvo is 2nd gen ? I think that truck is 1st gen maybe im wrong idk
You are probably right. It's 1999
What engine is in the truck?
Detroit 12.7
Хороший тягач!!! Надёжный
Man says he is not a mechanic, yet he tares his bike apart and upgrades to the bigger motor. Good job. By the way, that short swingarm tells me its a 03-04 Buell, which never came with the 1203cc... it only had the 984cc. Which means now you have something the factory never sold in 03/04
So what's that mean....?
@@dl3130 It means as far as I'm concerned you did well as a mechanic, even if you had issues with the engine rebuild, and now you have a 1203cc short wheelbase early model XB. Which makes it unique, since it never came with the long stroke engine in 2003-04. But... if you ever want to learn how to rebuild that Buell engine to perfection, look up (Hammer Performance) youtube channel. Hammer Dan has all the professional engine build tips for Sportster and HD Buells, that you would ever need. Plus he sells performance engine upgrades.
@@dl3130 Sorry, I gotta cut back on commenting while drunk. :-)
04 was the first year for the XB12
It's all plug and play ,shouldn't take a 10 year old girl more than a few hours....😂😂😂😂
Where did you get the motor complete like that ?
Привет!А какой пробег должен быть на траке что бы менять ??
I think every 500000 miles
bronze rod to put the seal in ?
That's for thr races
Is your Volvo actually a GEN 1?
It's 1998
Put some superglue on that spring man, it should hold it .👌

Скажи пожалуйста какой у тебя mpg? У меня такая же mpg 5.5((
It depends on the road conditions. If it's good weather and no wind in the summer I get close to 7mpg but if it's cold weather in the winter and windy it's closer to 6mpg
Does the screen have a way to show you what the trucks mpg average is ?
Yes of course. It has on your left side of the screen shows mpg and a bunch of other things like transmission temp engine oil temp and such things also voltage
Nice job... I'm am planning to do this exact change. Starting next weekend. Any tips you have you be appreciated
Only tip I can think of is. Have a good attitude and have fun while doing it. It's pretty easy
What problems were u having before u changed them
I replaced them because they wore out. I can't say I was having any issues. But I don't think it was normal for them to be so wore out. I feels nicer now especially when I drive over bridges. Before the truck would jump up at every bridge crossing ...now feels more tight
Mine wore all the way to hit metal to metal. The front of the axle tilted up and the differential yolk hit the frame crossmember
where i can buy this mirrors? greatings from germany!
I got them like 8 years ago online. I can't remember the website anymore. Sorry
Nicely done ✅
