Ep.24 - Erica Komisar: The Science of Why Babysitting Breaks Your Baby
Erica Komisar, who spoke at Jordan Peterson's ARC organization, joins Dr. Johann D'Souza again to discuss the scientific research behind her viewpoints on attachment parenting and the importance of mothers being present for their babies in the first few years of life.
Key Takeaways:
*Research shows that nurturing behaviors like licking/grooming in mammals leads to offspring that are more resilient to stress. This translates to sensitive, empathic nurturing in humans.
*Attachment security, developed through a close emotional connection with a primary caregiver, allows babies to feel safe to explore the world.
*Mothers tend to produce more oxytocin which promotes vigilant, soothing behaviors. Fathers produce more vasopressin which promotes protective, stimulating play.
*Letting babies "cry it out" teaches them their distress will be ignored and can lead to attachment disorders. Babies should be soothed when they cry.
*Babies are meant to sleep close to their mothers, as they would in nature. Nighttime security is even more important than daytime.
*Modern societal pressures have damaged many parents' natural instincts to do what is best for their babies' emotional well-being.

Awesome subject thank you 👍‼️🆘🇺🇲
What a treasonous traitorous piece of rancid crap you’re military you’re going against the oath you took you’re an officer. What a piece of shot.
Sso

2000 mules what . . . ?
This man would be a great help to Pete. Hire him as assistant se retry of defense.
Good luck Pete!
Hmmm. I wonder why there's an issue with professional psychological counseling and the hokey idea of faith? I think people of faith should seek counseling if they are experiencing psychological issues. But don't put it on the professionals to have to dumb down their knowledge. Psychologists and psychiatrists are educated and trained And the vast majority are worthwhile empathetic people.
Every one needs to let your Senator know that you support Pete and Trump’s other nominees.
Seriously? You boys are unbelievable.
Well... "he loves God" ... I know most people will claim as such, since when is that one of the prerequisites of any job, your life and loving others attests to that. So you must mean, that he believes in the same "form" of religion as you. A free country is free, we don't and have never wanted a dictator.
I'm having a difficult time trying to determine if this is a joke. I guess this guy being interviewed doesn't give a thought to Hegseth's own problems with women and general drunken and malicious public behavior? It's all out there. He must not know.
Most Fox women wont miss him. He’s a sexual predator who used his Army experience to chase women down and attack them. Awarded two battlefield medals…lets see the citations. Wouldn’t be the first time a National Guard captain forged meritorious battlefield medals. That particular NG captain coward forged an Admiral’s signature for one of his Stolen Valor Purple Hearts…the actions of a coward and a traitor.
This is BS. Just about all Generals and Colonels in combat arms have been front-line combat leaders. I’m also not buying the implied BS about the defense industrial complex.
Taking a job for the right reason that’s what you in a nomination….
you can not sell this guy to me.he is to deep into trump.
Speaking of personal misbehavior should not be part of the judgment policies. Our current President stole a married woman, blatantly, while a U.S. Senator, and there is a very long list of bad behavior by many of our country’s leaders. I call it the nature of the beasts. Need I say more ?
It would be like making a McDonalds store manager to CEO. If Hegseth doesn't understand the Pentagon's unique accounting maybe he should stick to chasing women.
He reminds me of roger stone, looks and mannerisms
Give me a break dude! Glad you think he is an upstanding individual but all the facts say he is NOT! Stop your misogyny!
❤ Pete
Is this host dude related to Dinesh D’Souza of “2000 mules” infamy?
Hegseth is a turd 💩 just ask his mom
This guy has no receipts. I personally don’t find him credible.
Trump c_______ers
General Milley read it and weep…..
We’ve been “letting it go” for far too long. Toilet seats and hammers are overrated for our defense. When I saw this I thought oh great, they’ll trash him. Thank you for this.
So serving on the front lines and not needing a job afterwards is qualification to run one of the largest organizations in the world?
so being an idiot and senile old lying po💩 qualifies to run America? gtfooh
You left out a few of his other qualifications but putting that aside what was your point?
@ those were as qualifications. He’s obviously not qualified on any level to run that size of an organization.
@@macimages4215 Opinion only not proof as far as I can see. Where has he failed in life to make you think this way?
@ you might want to take his mother’s word for it. Just look up her email to him
I would love to hear this guys opinion on the Jesse Ventura gubernatorial administration. Pete Hegseth is today's JV.
I pray my college buddies have such nice things to say about me.
So just ignore his mother's email about how her son is a serial abuser of women? (what happened to the bible class study?) Ignore the fact that he was removed from two veterans groups for money management and character issues? Ignore the rape issues?
What is about to happen , happened before in Jan'1941. That's when the American Army was completely purged during maneuvers in Louisiana. They even made a feature movie about it whose name I can't remember. They fired or forcibly retired approx 90% of the field grade officers. Trump will be doing the same in Jan 2025 to include eliminating DEI/CRT, TRANSGENDERS AND ALL WOMEN FROM COMBAT ROLES
He’s an abusive and publicly drunk bully. Serial adulterer. Totally unfit. Vomiting and urinating in public, passing out on the company bus. White Christian Nationalist.
This man very honest.I saw this 1976-80 in canada I was commando they start put women near my unit so they got fired yup.The us gov't put peoples harm way very sad.I thanks him expose honesty. Thanks video.😮
This is definitely a puff piece totally discounted by a friend!!! BULLSHIT!
So, he's been married before. DJT will be great in his second term. Oh, and has Pete Hegseth been married before, too? What has that got to do with the price of tea in Lisbon?
If they haven't served they are not qualified for the job. Pete has paid his dues. He should be approved.
Wearing 2 hats. First as a Veteran and Combat Veteran everything said here is spot on plus Pete loves the Troops and will be seen by and with them something the current secretary will avoid at all costs. Now My 2nd Hat as a career law enforcement officer and investigator/crime scene investigator and Crime Scene Unit Commander. Having read the police report on the alleged sexual assault my first thought was WTF? Let’s look at the Facts laid out in the report. The (alleged) victim was married and she was accompanied by her husband and children (they were in hotel room) witnesses came forward and stated she was ‘overly flirtatious’ with Pete in a public setting. She claims to have been drugged however she is recorded on multiple security cameras and appears normal and not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She went to her room and sometime later left her family and proceeded to Pete’s room (between 2AM and 4AM when she returned to her room her husband texted her and called her multiple times trying to find her whereabouts-he is recorded on security cameras having left the room and gone throughout the hotel common areas looking for her). Everything in the police report indicates that any encounter between her and Pete were Consensual and that is why the police report is closed as Unfounded
Sexual indiscretions with an adult who did not press charges or file a civil suit within a few weeks of an incident is a non-starter for me. There are critical things that need to be accomplished for the USA and the world. Clinton, JFK, and Trump are prime examples, who knows how many competent officers have had affairs during deployments. Object to Hegseth on reasonable basis of competency but his sexual past, unless it involves pedophilia, is grasping at straws
I wish that our workplaces would support this…
Clean it out and clean it up, Pete!
He has a big flaw. It is his character, obviously.......
America has become Babylon and Iran is pissed. Meaning women are sadly untrustworthy. They mislead and then accuse. I see so many worthy males for Husbandry, but the female offerings are worthless. How many selfies?
What about Him getting kicked off boards of two veterans groups for mismanaging funds and sexual harassment of female staff?
'he has a love of god"WTF does that mean?Whar a fraud!Sickening.
Agreed why in the hell is god fearing even relevant? And that dear friends, is what Christian nationalism is doing to this country. That said , I think hegSeth can make his own case before the senate.
Rape is alright with you? Maybe check with his mom.
Can’t do any worse than what we have now
You have no idea. His character? Combat Leader mindset? You need to go back to school.
These creepy religious men protecting other creepy men. Where are you, good men? I know you exist. But where are you?
Exactly
This guy is a joke. Great Christian man who impregnated a woman while married to another woman? Immaculate conception2?
Exactly
I believe the quote, "It is good that war is so terrible otherwise we would grow too fond of it..." was said by Robert E. Lee when he watched the futile attack on Marye's Heights by opposing Union troops, who were decimated by defending Confederates at the Battle of Fredericksburg.
