Thank you for this video; it is so helpful, as is all your content. I think you answered many of my questions about this form. However, I would like to confirm the information about the country of residence for VISA 820 in cases like mine that I am applying from Australia but currently have a tourist visitor visa.
Hello my partner and I have been in a long distance relationship for 7 years and we recently got married with both sides friends and family attending. Because we have been long distance we have lived separately the whole time only visiting each other 4 weeks at a time. We are both financially independent although I do have evidence of sending money for the wedding. My question is how can I prove household and financial when we live different countries?
Very well n clearly explained 👏
Thanks! Glad it helped!
Hi thanks for your videos, it's very helpful Can I please have a email where I can send you my question?
Hi Joelle, the easiest way to contact us is through our website :)
Thanks mam
How long does it get sec 3 ? And if sec 3 is approved can the client be travel to the home country ?
Section 3 can be very complex. We recommend you discuss this in private with a Registered Migration Agent.
im in a relationship with a single mum but she is on child support since we have been together, we talking about a year and a half now. what’s the implication? may centrelink ask back all the money for child support and other benefits? can our application be affected heavily by this?
Please send me a link for free consultation initially.
Hi Naveen, if you are interested in how we can help at The Partner Visa Academy, you can get started by checking your eligibility on our website.
When you go abroad with bridging B and come back to Australia does that bridging B automatically convert to bridging A again?
WHAT ABOUT THOSE OF US WHO HAVE APPLIED FOR 309? ITS 20 MONTHS AND NO CORESSPONDINGS FROM THE DEPARTMENT. I THINK THE DEPARTMENT SHLD ABLE TO GRANGS 309 APPLICANTS SOME FORM OF VISA APART FROM VISITING VISA SO THAT WE CAN BE WITH OUR PARTNERS WHILES WE WAIT FOR A DECISION ON OUR APPLICATIONS. THE DEPARTMENT IS BIAS. 3 VISITING VISA'S ALL DENIED ALTHOUGH WE SUBMITTED ALL REQUIRED DOCS. WE DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AGAIN
Thanks for your questions! Each Partner Visa is unique and follows a different timeline based on numerous factors. To get advice for your Partner Visa and Visitor Visa applications, we recommend you book a consultation with a Registered Migration Agent.
Can you marry your spouse after the 300 visa is granted but before they enter Australia for the first time?
hey Thanks for the information. I have Q as I am stuck on this......please If I am the spouse and sponsor of the applicant (partner) and I am applying through my IMMI account, filling out the application and submitting all the forms, documents required.....as I am helping her out with gathering documentation and applying it. a) Do I need to submit 956a form where the applicant (partner) has authorised me to receive and communicate on behalf her as authorised recipient? or b) Do I need to submit 956 form where the applicant (partner) has appointed me for Immigration advice (although I never filed any applications to share advice or assist - especially Immigration except we are following the process from IMMI Website Partner Visa) as exempt person and authorised me to receive and communicate on behalf her as authorised recipient? Which one it would be? Thanks for your help in advance.
Can you confirm that when you apply for the 820 visa you won’t get approval for 12+ months? Does that mean if you are here on a holiday visa you can’t stay after that expires?
These are both great questions! The answers for both are - it really depends. When trying to get clarity around your timeline, we highly recommend speaking with a Registered Migration Agent as there are a number of factors that must be considered.
Also make videos on how to be successful in your own country
If I'm applying for a visa for the first time and form keep asking my previous travel proof then what should i do in that case....?
WE HAVE BEEN UPDATONG OUR EVIDENT. ITS ALMOST 20 MONTHS AND WE HAVE NO RESULT. BUT AS U SAYING NORMALLY ITS FINALISED IN 12 MONTHS, WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY RESULTS HMMM
Great job on updating your evidence, keep it up! Not all applications are processed within 12 months as you can see on the Department's website: immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times/global-visa-processing-times - don't be discouraged. If you're having any doubts, we recommend sitting down with a Registered Migration Agent. Feel free to reach out to us through our website at thepartnervisaacademy.com.au
WE CHOOSE KENYA. OUR APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED 4TH MAY 2023. AT THE MOMENT, WE DONT KNOW WHERE IT IS BEING PROCESSED
WE RECENTLY GOT NOTIFY BY HOME AFFAIRS THAT OUR APPLICATION IS IN THE STANDARD PROCESSING TIME. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN. ITS ALMOST 20 MONTHS SINCE WE PUT IN OUR APPLICATION
Great question! The Department of Home Affairs advertises standard processing times based on the time it's currently taking to process visa applications. You can see the current standard processing times on the Department's website at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times/global-visa-processing-times
I’ve heard that in some instances the 801 permanent visa can be granted at the first stage, ie if already in a long term relationship and applicant has been in Australia on a substantive visa. In our case, 7+ year de facto relationship, my partner here the last 2.5 years on a 461 visa ( I’m NZ citizen soon to gain Australian citizenship)
Thanks for watching! What you're referring to is sometimes called a dual grant or a double grant. I go into more depth about this in my video and blog called Your Guide to Partner Visa Double Grants: The Coveted 2-in-1. Please note couples who are seeking a double grant will need to meet the Department's criteria in order to be considered.
Thank you 🙏
Very good information 🙏
can I apply 600 and 309 together?
Thank you for giving us good information 🙏
Thank you so much for good advice 🙏
Thank you much for good advice 🙏

We can't comment on individual processing times - processing times can vary significantly depending on a number of factors. If you have concerns around your application, I would recommend booking in for a consultation with our sister company, Freedom Migration.
Who writes the 4 pillar the applicant or the sponsor ?
Both the Applicant and Sponsor should be providing relationship statements outlining the 4 pillars.
Hi..I’m Naveen from India..recently I married an Australian PR(887 visa) holder, she got divorced in Australia and she is a secondary Applicant on 887 visa, primary applicant is her ex husband. Now she came to India and married me and left back to Australia. Now can I apply for partner visa. I’m eligible or not..??
Hi Naveen, sounds like you would benefit from an initial consultation around the legal requirements for a partner visa. I'd recommend reaching out to our sister company Freedom Migration to schedule in a consult

Hi, i want to have a chat with you! but couldn´t book an appointment on your web !
Hi Andres, all fixed!
what is the cost u take for processing partner visa 309?
we don't manage partner visa applications - you can have a look at our website for our costing and feel free to book a free introductory session with us to learn more
Hi what if we don't have any agent were applying by our own...is 956a right for us?
Only if you're authorising someone else to receive communication on the applicants behalf
hello! you're very pretty!!
Thanks for your vedeos... great help... Do the applicants need to have surname or family name?... what to do if whole name on passport is under given names ?
that's probably something that needs exploring during an evidence planning session to make sure were giving the correct advice :)
Love the way you’ve explained this pillar! 😊 The sorts of scenarios you’ve described are so much more specific compared to others - similar to this, would you be having a video coming soon on the financial pillar? I.e. how couples should be showing that they are financially tied too? Does it have to specifically be a savings account for a mortgage? or can it be as simple as a couple setting aside money in a savings account for future travel together?
there's already a blog on the financial pillar ;) thanks for the feedback!
Thanks Rofia, really helpful advice and suggestions given in this video.
You're welcome Kathleen :)
Hi ma'am! In form 80, there are questions about Address History for the last 10 years and International Travel/ Movements. 1. In Address History, can I put my home address (the country where I came from) ? Also should I include the address in Australia where I used to stay (1st entry and 2nd entry) ? 2. For International Travel/ Movements, should I include again the visit back on my own home country? I used to stay in Australia twice with 3 months each stay. And went back to my home country before 3 months ends.
Thanks for your questions! It wouldn't be safe for me to comment on certain aspects of someone's application as I wouldn't want to provide you with advice that may be inaccurate without knowing the full background of your case.
If it takes 28 months to receive my 820 visa, can I apply for the 801 visa right away? I understand you mentioned that the 801 visa application can be submitted 24 months, or two years, after lodging the 820 visa. Is that correct?
you can't make the application for the 801 if the 820 hasn't been finalised yet
Where to upload Relationship statement. There is no particular section as it just ask the evidences in the last page for application.
You'll see more categories/tabs open up after lodgement :)
@@thepartnervisaacademy5473 thank you 😊
Where to Upload for relationship statement for Applicant ? Is it through the immi Account portal where sections are given to write or do i have to write on separate document and submit as pdf ?
You should be writing separate relationship statements and uploading them as supporting documents
@@thepartnervisaacademy5473 Hi, should these be hand written and signed then uploaded as a pdf or can it be typed? Thanks!
Hello, I have done my 1 year WHV in Australia, I’m a uk citizen back in the UK I came back to the uk 6 months ago for events, I’m planning to go back out and have applied for my working holiday visa 417, Should I get my partner who is Australian to fill out a form 956A so that she can contact and see what’s going on, I applied for my 2nd year visa 20th August 2024 so this year and it’s been 40 days I’ve been waiting so far
hey Rob - sounds like you're wanting to see what's happening with your WHV visa. A form 956A can be used by your partner if you like. You can still try communicating with immigration even if you're outside the country. Take a look at the average processing times for WHV at the moment
@thepartnervisaacademy5473 so is that still classed as a partner if she is my girlfriend or is that different? If we are together but not registered or anything yet could we still fill it out? Thankyou in advance
You missed a very important part, you can register your relationship if it is less than 12months in some states
I do mention there are exemptions to the 12 month de-facto rule :) but the purpose of the blog is to provide more insight into what the key criteria is around a subclass 820 and De facto relationship. Registering a relationship certificate is an exemption (in some states) but doesn't automatically make a couple 'De facto' in the eyes of immigration.
what about q46 ? you missed
You would answer it accordingly - Generally for a partner visa, you don't have family members other than children who would be included to migrate with you. If you are wanting to apply for a partner visa and you think there are other family members who you want to include on the application and who are travelling with you , then it's best to get advice around who can be included on a partner visa. Remember that a form 80 is not specific to partner visa applications - lots of Australian visa streams require a form 80 to be provided.
Im confused because it says on the 956A form the following - "Do not use this form if: • you are appointing a registered migration agent, Australian legal practitioner or exempt person to provide you with immigration assistance and they will also be your authorised recipient. In this case the registered migration agent, Australian legal practitioner or exempt person should complete form 956" If I am the sponsor wanting to assist the applicant in the immigration process wouldnt i fill out Form 956 instead of 956A since I am an exempt person? Because Form 956 states the following "Who is an exempt person? The following people do not have to be registered as migration agents or be an Australian legal practitioner in order to provide immigration assistance: • a close family member (spouse, child, adopted child, parent, brother or sister); • a sponsor or nominator of a visa applicant; • a member of parliament or their staff; • an official whose duties include providing immigration assistance; • a member of a diplomatic mission, consular post or international organisation." Do I not count as an exempt person since I am the sponsor + spouse? Which form do i fill out?
If your partner wants you to receive communication and correspondence on their behalf, then form 956A
@@thepartnervisaacademy5473 Not only that but she wants me to assist her in pretty much everything (like applying and submitting the application), so is that still form 956A? Thank you for responding.
Do you need to supply employment records?
Not specifically for a Partner visa, unless it may in some way be relevant to the application.
Thank you for sharing
My pleasure
How can i prove if I live in another country. We didn't stay before marriage. After marriage what can i do for offshore visa?
Hi and thanks for your questions! these are quite in depth questions that would require advice to be given. I can't comment on the specifics of your case, nor can we look at factors in isolation. If you've not had immigration advice around a partner visa I would recommend that as your starting point.
Also my partner is very introvert and he doesn't much talk to me. Should I show tons of whatsapp history even after we legally married and we have marriage certificate??. Also can i get statuary declaration from people who all are in Australia?

Madam I don't talk to my sister's. One is an Australian citizen. I don't like to give her details. Bcoz I don't know about her. Also she never allow me to marry and she is very evil. Then how can i do? Will they contact my sister? Will they check about her from Australian citizen record?. Please tell

Is this a question? :)
I am refused study visa tourist and de facto category can i still able to get visa on behalf of marriage with my partner.
Hi there - that's not something I would be able to comment on without knowing all the facts of the case. If you haven't already had visa advice around your circumstances and a partner visa, then I'd recommend having a consultation around your prospects and options.
