You know what's so great about this video is, that no two pullers start at the same time. They wait until one stands still before the other leaves.👍 Or does that have to do with the editing of the video?

In 2004, I organized a ship's Reunion for USS Polk County(LST1084) in Mobile. Al. The featured event of the reunion was a trip into Miss. to go aboard LST 325. It conjured up lots of memories for the crew members. We all had much fun during our reunion and it was great to see the surviving members of my group from 1959-1961 when I was First LT.

There is an original Higgins parked on the river Trent near chilwell U.K.

Served on a Newport class LST-....prepped 3 WW2 LSTs out of mothballs for sale to the Peruvian Navy

I served on the USS Monmouth County LST1032 in the blue and brown water navy of the far east during '66/'67, AMAZING adventure going from port to beach ALL over the far east, spent considerable time delivering supplies in the Mekong Delta, survived a typhoon which cracked parts of our main deck and broke plates below a ballast tank...HELLISH living and working conditions, food was poor and the water "piss poor", wouldn't trade that year for ANYTHING...I got to visit LST325 with my best friend from childhood about 10 years ago and wander the whole ship, totally choked up when going onboard.

I had the pleasure of going onboard this magnificent ship while she was at Charleston, WV on 23 Sept. My Dad served on USS LST 173 in N. Africa and I've always wanted to see what he went to war on. If you ever get a chance to see this piece of American history, by all means drop what you're doing and go take the tour. Worth every dime and I can't wait till she comes back.
